Sorry for late reply mate. G9650 using Snapdragon and as i know Snapdragon variants dont have unlocked bootloaders. Until you find a way to unlock it, you only got a refused boot. and hanging on splash screen. And no one want that sitution. Sorry again.

Ill have to check it out some one told me we cant do it any more. they upped the security and blocked it suposedly

Thanks man if u managed to mod the bootanimation file to make zip bootanimation instead of qmg that would be nice

The zip works well but for some reason the image isn't centered.

Thanks. Working well on Alexis v1.3 ROM

Any update on this? Will it work e.g. with newer system-as-root partition layouts in devices such as Galaxy Note 10, 20 ?
Thanks!

Hi, question to OP:
so with this patch, we can use LP bootloader? or still must use KK or JB?
i see in script that kernel is unpacked, then packed back.... question is why?
did you know that BIN and IMG is the same thing?
just rename *.bin to *.img
it's will be written the same to raw partition.
any way. well done. will be needed soon for my builds.

I'm waiting your work.I think you will work to make kernel for G4 too when it commig
this is not my work, bin,img is a same.I don't change main code of owner.
sorry for the noob question....
if we bump the lollipop kernel, can we use earlier custom roms directly in LP bootloader?
or it is needed to downgrade the bootloader?

Need to have kk or jb bootloader.
LP bootloader will not boot any custom kernels or recovery.

Yeah. That's really lame, such a bummer.... I took a look at the code myself, and it seems to want to support lolli but doesn't work with lollipop bootloaders/recoveries/kernels. At least on my D800.

No need to be modified it also works for recovery images. Ofcourse for JB/KK BL
@berryman13 It won't be taken down, especially after all those discussions it probably won't make any difference if it would be taken down as it's already wide on the web.

I have something even better! You know how CyboGenik or something posted this originally on xda and there was a huge explosion? Everybody was so pissed. Then he removed a few keys from it and republished the entire branch,
I got a fork of it early though
like immediately; before it was rebased. Compare the code, there's additional keys. PMing you.

Interesting. Do these additional keys help bump on LP? On our LG G Pad 8" v480 and v400 we are completely locked down on LP. We can even unlock our tablets which does nothing while on LP. I've bumped twrp.img and it still give security boot error. Maybe your additional keys can help!

[Root/Magisk] [BQ Aquaris X2 / X2 PRO] Without Custom Recovery [Stock ROM]

Hey there!
I don't own this device anymore!
There will be no updates from me anymore.
This is how to Root the BQ Aquaris X2 / X2 PRO without a Custom Recovery like TWRP!
This is more or less a workaround until an official TWRP recovery will be available.
*** WARNING ***
This will work for the following builds:
- 1.3.0 -> 1.7.2
Requirements:
- ADB/Fastboot + Drivers
- Unlocked Bootloader
- Working Brain
How to:
Unlock Bootloader:
Unlocking Method
Our Aquaris X2 PRO is locked and needs to be unlocked before flashing anything.
STEPS:
1. Connect your phone to your PC using ADB.
2. > adb reboot bootloader
3. Your phone will now enter the fastboot mode
4. > fastboot flashing unlock
5. Your phone will be unlocked.
*** Make a backup of all your data as it might get erased during the process***
*** Warning***
After you unlock the device, it will become less secure. Your personal data might be leaked or lost.
Please think twice before flashing your phone and do it at your own risk.
Root / install Magisk:
Step 1:
Download the latest Magisk Manager from this Link:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
And install the APK File.
Step 2:
Download the patched boot image for your firmware version (See attached screenshot):
Aquaris X2 PRO
Version 1.3.0_x:
https://tt-services.de/xda/aquarisx2pro/patched_boot_1.3.0.img

Version 1.4.0_x:

Version 1.7.1_x:
https://tt-services.de/xda/aquarisx2/patched_boot_1.7.1.img
Step 3:
Use ADB to boot into Bootloader:
> adb reboot bootloader
Now try if the patched Boot Image will work for you:
> fastboot boot <<path to boot image>>
Now the Device should boot with this Image.
Check if the device will boot as expected and take a look at the Magisk Manager APP to check if everything has succeeded.
Sometimes this will not always work as expected. If your device stuck at the Android one screen try to flash the image directly (See next step)
If so you can flash the Boot image with the folowing Steps:
> adb reboot bootloader
> fastboot flash boot <<path to boot image>>
Done! :fingers-crossed:

Good to know we have another choice. Congrat. I suggest you be more methodic or explain better how to flash. If we come from original or if we come from another custom rom, etc. Remember since galaxy 10 now the field is fully mined and nobody would like a brick phone.

Kernel Special Features:
Version Information
Status: Stable
Created 2019-10-09
Last Updated 2019-10-09
Installation
* Unlock bootloader first
* Reboot recovery and reboot system now behave normally after flashing.
* No more patching in Magisk manager at all.
* Be aware, first clean boot, hangs on building cache, hard reboot after waiting about 3min and you'll boot past this
* If simply updating your existing TWRP, v9 upwards, you only need to flash the TWRP.img in recovery. No need to reflash kernel and Magisk.
Process from bone stock
1. Flash TWRP.tar in Odin
2. Reboot directly into TWRP
3. Format data, reboot recovery
4. Flash kernel
5. Flash encryption disabler if desired.
6. Unmount system, Flash Magisk 19.4 (not 20.*)
7. Reboot system
Process from existing TWRP
1. Flash TWRP.img to recovery
2. Reboot recovery
3. Flash Kernel zip
4. Unmount system and Flash Magisk zip
5. Reboot system

@Mentalmuso Thanks so much for this. I have it all setup and it appears to be working fine on the 9730.
One question though, my OEM unlock is unlocked in the dev options, however it appears to not be greyed out. I'm a bit afraid to reboot I'm not sure if vaultkeeper will jump back on.
What does it not being greyed out imply?

I'm not sure, though I encountered this also, rebooted and all is fine. I'll do some research.
Mind posting this to the s10 or s10e threads? I think there's a lot of people looking for this that don't visit the + forums.
I'm trying to refer a few people over here.

Why vol down key? Mayby start with root press vol up-bixby-power???

[ROM/TUTORIAL] How to downgrade Samsung galaxy s7 to android 7

Code:
USE AT OWN RISK
* Your warranty is now void.
* We are not responsible for anything that may happen to your phone by installing any custom ROMs and/or kernels.
* You do it at your own risk and take the responsibility upon yourself and you are not to blame us or XDA and its respected developers.
* this was only tested on g930f and i don't guarantee that it will work on your model!
How to install
1. Download all 2 zips
You should have this 2 zips
- S7 Nogaut Deodexed/Debloated/Deknoxed.zip
- no-verify-opt-encrypt.zip
2. Format system,data,dalvik cache,cache
3. Flash ROM
4. After rom installation untick Reboot and click net
5. Flash no-verify-opt-encrypt (from twrp)
6. (optional) Flash Magisk (not included)
7. Reboot
WORKING:
Wi-fi
Fingerprint
Mobile data
Calling
Screenshots
SMS
Known Issues:
first boot is very slow you must wait 10-20 min
stock keyboard has many bugs (in samsung, google account setup you letter that you type will replace letter that you typed before, if you want type one capital letter you can't because samsung will type instead normal letter) you can just use other keyboard like microsoft swiftkey (in next update i will replace stock keyboard)
MTP not working (you cannot copy/cut files, on trying to copy/cut you get error "device is busy")

- Deodexed
- Deknoxed
- Debloated

Very good, and thank you.
First of all, I would like to say, very nice work! I have been looking for this possibility for a really long time.
My S7 has the latest binary version 8. When I look at the screenshots, I also see a version 8.
I have two questions about this:
Is it possible to keep my own CSC or is it only possible to use XEO?
Do I flash everything via TWRP or do I also need Odin?

Thanks for your quick reply. That would be very nice of you, if you could make it suitable for me with the CSC DBT. You do not believe how much you do me a favor with this.

Maybe it will work on my S7. I could give it a try. Otherwise, I would try your version and attempt to flash the CSC with Odin afterwards. Or do you think that's not a good idea?

So I tried the DBT version. It sadly didn't boot like you said it would. Now I have flashed your version. Still it boots, I think with the Samsung logo I have to wait just 10-20 minutes as you mentioned. After that I'll see if it worked for me. But thanks never less!
Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to work either. It is still at the Samsung logo. Too bad. Nevertheless, thank you. I just don't understand Samsung, why they forbid you to make a downgrade....
try format data
I always format data as well, since I don't like to flash dirty.

No problem. Thanks for your time aniway.
Couldn't downgrade. Followed instructions and did it twice. First time Samsung logo with S G930 appeared and the LED was off, then repeated the steps and only SAMSUNG + LED on, but no result, stuck at it
