ROOT Your LG V30!
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/how-to/root-v30-t3927154
You simply read the WTF instructions carefully. Read them in a web browser and PRINT them out. Do NOT read in an app.
IF you actually read them you will see there's a Section 7 for Trouble Shooting Tips. Most of these Trouble Shooting tips are to reiterate what you should have read and followed before... But a few are tips on changing cables, changing ports, changing computers to make fastboot communicate better with the phone.

Help downgrading to install CM12

Hi!
I'm quite new to this model, but very familiarized with IT and nexus devices, as well as some samsung ones.
I got the phone one week ago and after updating to the latest 5.0 stock firmware, I think in some days I'll be good to go to AOSP and never look back
Now, I have been doing my homework and reading around how to do it, but I finally must ask some questions that I still cannot figure out.
Model: European D855 16Gb
Current ROM: V20f-EUR-XX
Baseband: MPSS.DI.2.0.1.c1.13-00048-M8974AAAANPZM-1
First of all: I read somewhere around xda that I'd better use .tot files instead of KDZ because some people report bricks with the KDZ files (Hardbrick or softbrick, anyway?)
Second: I am following this manual: http://www.androidrootz.com/2014/07/how-to-unroot-lg-g3-all-variants.html But it's from july 2014, so perhaps there are some caveats with the latest 5.0 version?
Those are my two questions, and I think they are pretty critical, since I'm risking a hard brick if I don't do them right.
About how to stump and bump once back in KitKat, I have no problem, it's pretty straightforward, so I don't need advice on that.
Any help will be welcome.
Thanks!
Hi GFXiON. I'll give you all the tutorial links i'd followed to downgrade it and all the rest if you want. I downgraded it with KDZ and i hadn't got any brick problem. So you can go for it.
Sent from my LG-D855 using XDA Free mobile app
I can have link for downgrade me too plz ?
Tutorial
Visit the thread i've done: Click Here
Thanks for the reply, I will definitely follow your instructions.
About the baseband and shuch... any coincerns for those that are already on 5.0? It's hwat worries me most.

[Q] Rooting LG G3 T-Mobile

Could someone please walk me through STEP BY STEP how to root my android? I've done a bit of research, and I've either found tutorials that users report no longer work, or I find a tutorial where users communicate with one another in a tech jargon that I can't follow; I'm new to the android world.
Any help or redirect to a thread that will help me would be much appreciated

This method here is by far the best and easiest way to root on the G3. It works on all firmware.

S-ON and Locked Bootloader want to go back to Nougat or Marshmallow

Hi everyone,
I have a red Hong Kong HTC 10 which is updated to OREO. Now the battery drain is so serious, I want to go back to Nougat or Marshmallow. Is it possible and could you pls guide a step by step for doing so?
Thanks and regards
There are 2 threads here in the guides section which cover your question extensively. Have a careful read in those 2 and it will be clear enough.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-10/how-to/downgrade-problems-downgrading-htc-10-t3735658/page34
That's one and it's all written out there
I have searched the whole day for Nougat RUU for my SKU Hong Kong .708 but now luck, but I do find a Marshmallow RUU.zip for it. How can I downgrade directly from Oreo to MM with this zip?
Any help would be appreciated.

Directly.........probably not. You need to take some steps, but that is all explained in the 2 dedicated threads. Please do some fine research in the downgrading thread. I think it's a bit obsolete to copy and paste the tutorials from there to here.
But as i can tell from your flashing experience i would perform a factory reset and see how that goes. Personally i think you will put yourself in a situation that the device won't work anymore.

Can LM-G710ULM be rooted?

Hello guys
I´ve been looking for a way to do it, and I have only found things about the European version and older posts saying it could be done, so I´m not sure if it even possible as for today
Can somebody explain me if the process can be done?
Thanks a lot
I've realized before LG stopped supporting the V30, the damnned LG G6 US997 USA unlocked could be the last G-Series to enjoy unlocked bootloader & root, I don't know why the European variants getting bootloader as soon as the newer flagships are launched! Before buying the almost useless G710ULM, Last year the European G710EUM is costlier than the ULM. Since I was on a budget, I could afford the ULM "sigh"! Even the latest European LG V50 & the LG G8 is bootloader unlocked!

Yes, it can be unlocked and rooted. As far as I know, the instructions have not made their way to XDA, and XDA doesn't allow linking to the Telegram group where they're posted. Just Google for a Telegram group for the LG G7 ThinQ and look for the instructions posted there.
Unlocking isn't without some risk, though, since it involves temporarily overwriting the bootloader with another one, but it reportedly works.
So I dug up the instructions and the associated files this morning, but before I pull the trigger on this: will LineageOS builds work after the bootloader is unlocked? Obviously they're tagged for the EU model in the other thread, but I figured I'd check and see if someone tried this already.

Tried to DM you the link, please let me know if that worked! Otherwise you can install Telegram and just search for LG G7. Should pop up right towards the top.
Any new info on this? The G7 hardware is great so I would love to put lineage or some form of aosp on it. Couldn't find the telegram link though, so I would greatly appreciate it if somebody could send it to me. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! I actually have the US unlocked model (lm-g710ulm) which does not support official bootloader unlock support from LG. I have heard a few people saying that there are unofficial methods of unlocking the bootloader and I wanted to give it a shot. Any new info is appreciated

message @octoplus on telegram, you dont need to cross flash, just upgrade to latest Pie android. Then follow the steps as usual, worked for me.

Can I make my Korean G7 (710N) think its Canadian?
I bought G7 from Korea on eBay (G710N) and wonder if I can make it canadian? Its workable, just irritated by minor things like dual clock on lock screen always shows Korea, and miles instead of km is default for some apps, etc...
