as far as i know is not possible because of different hardware

Well, maybe ur right but honestly I don't think lg has made 2 different productions lines it's not cost effective at all.. I read somewhere it was just sw different.. The problem is, if I want to flash the dual sim firmware maybe I can't because the software doesn't match with the smartphone id product so I'm scared to break it down.
Thanks a lot for your reply btw

[Q] How to flash RM-823 on my RM-808

Hi all!
I have a question.
Is there any chance, or is there anybody who succesfully flash RM-823 rom on RM-808.
Do you have any ideas how to change these number? I don't care about LTE, because I don't have it in my country, so I would be really grateful if you help me.
Thanks
Vasek
You can't. The 7.8 update should be on Navifirm soon.
Well but I also need it due to language. So I hope there must be some kind of way how to do it...via registry edit or smthg like that?.

Nope. It's the bootloader that's blocking you from doing it. You should be able to install languages with the cab sender, but I have no idea. Never done it.

You don't care about the LTE, but your phone is an LTE device, so whether you care or not, still your phone is different from RM-823. You have to wait for your variant or buy a non-LTE phone so you can flash it right away. as far as i know, its not because of the number (eg: rm-823,rm-808), so even if you change the number, no you still can't flash the RM-823 variant. an LTE device require a different driver than RM-823.
ps: and yes, like exiva said, if your variant is out on navifrm, you gonna have to unlocked your bootloader to be able to flash the 7.8 update.

Confirmed CAN NOT!
Cause I tried.
well, so when I flash the same bootloader as 823 has...it would be possible, but if I can't flash it, it is not.
MyOpicWorm - how did you try it and when did you end? What was the problem or error which you got please?
Thanks

Yes it is, but it is also surely GSM mobile, because there are no LTE devices in our country. There is only GSM, so it must be also GSM, that was what I tried to say.
I don't care about it, because I don't need it. Understand?

If you can change the product code to one of RM-823, then you can flash 823 to 808 and vice versa. On Symbian device, I did a few times. However, I could not find any software which can change the product code for Luma 900 yet.
It would be superb if you find any software which can do it. I also googled and binged many pages, but can't find solution

They are different hardware and it's not possible. nor would you want to really. why are you wanting to do this?
Cause I would like to have my language (0405-Czech) there. And I don't know how to do it.
I downloaded both roms via navifirm, but don't know what now. I also downloaded CAB file, but no chance how to send it to phone. Cab sender says that no update available...so any help please?

You can't install another firmware if it is not suitable for your device.
Upgrade it to 8858 and after you have to install all the updates your language until 8858.

The ATT Lumia does both 3G and LTE.
Even if you could flash the ROM on it, most likely = bricked phone due to different hardware

I can't talk about dual SIM version as mine is a single SIM version.
For single SIM, yes all hardware almost the same except the processor.
And all custom ROMs and unlock work the same as other Int'l GSM M8.
For dual SIM ... none of the custom ROM made for single SIM work on it.
So .. which is yours ? Single SIM or dual SIM ?
I don't think I have dual SIM...I have a place in the left upper side for SIM and right upper side for ad card.. and what's the differences in the processorsthank for the replies I'm really nervous here :/

Yours is a single SIM like mine.
No need to worry too much on processor thing. HTC release a few type of processor to certain region.
Most important, take note the software version no. in settings - about
and make a backup before you do anything else like installing a custom ROM

There's a new update to 2.22.709.4 for your device.
Check for software update first before you do unlocking (settings - about - software update)

Flash SM-A520F/DS with a SM-A520F firmware?

Hello there,
Recently I bought a Samsung A5 2017 in Indonesia (model dual sim) and would like to know if it's possible to put a french firmware (so a firmware of SM-A520F) on SM-A520F/DS model?
Thanks for your help

It would be wiser to use dual sim firmware rather than single sim firmware

Thanks but I don't find any dual sim firmware even on Sammobile....
Is there a risk of brick if I flash with a single sim firmware? Or maybe there's another solution?

I was worried too but I tried to use the normal a520f firmware and it worked fine.
BTW Some apps may not work because they will assume you are rooted eg. S HEALTH and secret mode on browser but you can actually root to get around this by editing a line in build.prop
I'm on the same boat, only with the A3: I've bought my phone as an A320F/DS (that's what the box says, and indeed it has double SIM), but when you check Settings--»About phone--»Model name, it only says A320F (without the DS). And then when you look for firmware updates in Samsung website, you only find for the A320F. Might it be that A320F/DS is only a second, alternative denomination for the A320F, being both identical? (Same would happen with the A7.)

It's one year since your question, but still my answer may help others:
I've flashed a SM-A320F stock firmware on my SM-A320F/DS and it works perfectly. I believe that the A series firmwares are exactly the same for single SIM and dual SIM models.
In trying to sort this out for the s7 g935f/ds, I believe I was told that indeed the F firmware is the correct firmware for both 1 and 2 sim models. There was no FDS firmware at all.

Dual sim firmware for A320FL?

Hi Guys,
been a lurker for a while and have a question that i cannot seem to find answers to. thought the XDA gods might assist.
Is it possible to install the dual sim firmware on the A320FL and if so then how and does the A320FL contain the hardware to read the second sim ( I don't even know if i'm asking the right question . My lack of knowledge is obvious)

the sim tray on single sim model does not allow to add another sim, even if pins are existing on the board.
So at this point, we are limited by the sim tray and software, to get dual-sim

Need basic info on CSC codes (please help me understand them correctly)

Ok so I really y need your help guys!
I've asked this question a few times in the past about other phones I ended up not keeping, but I'm now intent on making this work.
I'll keep it simple: can I flash a Canadian CSC on a Global phone? Will this brick the phone?
I don't quite fully understand how the CSC relates to everything else, but the times I tried I couldn't get the CSC to change. Plus I'm concerned because I have a dual sim model (which doesn't exist in Canada) that is Exynos, where the Canadian model is a SD.
Through my reading I think it could work but I don't want to have a $1000 paperweight in the end, but I'm have piss-poor reception, Samsung Pay doesn't work, VoLTE doesn't work, I can't block phrases in SMS and the list goes on. I want to try this to see if it helps anything... Failing this I may cut my losses, sell the phone half-price and just get a non-Samsung device; I'm getting so aggravated at this it's not even funny.
Thanks!
PS: if you are wondering why I didn't buy a Canadian phone to start with, let's say it's a complicated answer but can be summed up by the dual SIM cards.
A CSC defines that carrier settings of the phone. As long as you use official Samsung firmware and do it properly it will not brick your phone. Look at sammobile first to see if Canada has a stock firmware. However, doing this will mean all data is lost, are you flashing carrier based firmware or your country's global software?
I just did a search and on the S8 there was no difference between the single sim and dual sim softwares and on GSM arena it classes them as the same. Do you the have snapdragon or exynos version?

I don't mind data loss, I have back ups and really not much on the phone anyway. Canada has stock firmwares for each carrier, so to answer your question, carrier based. But my huge deal here is the different configuration between what is available here and what I have: I surely can't flash the entire firmware based on a canadian phone... I would lose my dual SIM and surely the difference processors would brick the device. But I'm not really sure if I can mix and match, i.e. pick a CSC for my carrier and everything else (PDA), and if I can, what do I chose?!
See where I'm at... because I can't flash the entire firmware I think I'm s.o.l.
I'm afraid the situation isn't that good for you.... I am assuming you have the Exynos varient since I cant see a dual sim version of the snapdragon variation which means no Canadian firmware is available for your device at all. Since I'm in the United Kingdom we usually swap our CSCs with ease but it appears if you didn't buy the snapdragon version your out of luck at least for now. I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help you could sell and get the Canadian version but you won't be able to dual sim or get another phone I left from the S6 to oneplus and had a really good exprenice but that was on the 3T so I'm not sure what they are like now
Again sorry I couldn't have been more help:crying:
