Your Phone Companion app problem with mouse clicking in Your Phone app in Windows - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Themes, Apps, and Mods

I have Samsung Galaxy note 10 Plus and Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus
The behavior described below happens on both devices connected to Your Phone App in Windows 10. Therefore, I will post this in both forums in hope that somebody could give me an idea of what could be causing this.
The problem is:
On my Windows 10 PC I start Your Phone App and I go to the “Phone screen“ section. My phone screen is connected and displayed on the PC screen and everything seems ok.
However, when I click with the PC mouse on the phone screen displayed in Your Phone app on Windows, this mouse click is registered somewhere else (far away) on the actual phone screen on the phone.
This started happening about a month ago and the behavior is the same on 3 PCs running on Windows 10 and both my phones.
Can anybody report the same thing happening for them too?
Does anybody have an idea what could be causing this?

Update:
The your phone companion app got updated yesterday again to version 1.20032.93.0
This time the problem seems to have been fixed.

Anyone having problems with RDP?

PC monitors are completely disabled after RDP session. Can't even see BIOS or any of the boot sequence but I can still RDP..
I'm not 100% certain the problem is my RDP. It doesn't happen every time I use my RDP but every time it has happened it has always been shortly after using it.
The problem is I will log in to my home PC using xtralogic's RDP app. It's a great app, well worth the price in terms of functionality. When I finish the rdp session I go to wake my pc up and nothing.. the screen is black and stays that way even after rebooting. I can't even see the boot up so there is no way to navigate the BIOS
It has happened 3 times. The first time I remoted in and reinstalled the video drivers and the monitor came back on right after install was finished.
The second time I unplugged everything except power to the box and the monitor cable from the PC and rebooted and it came back on.
The third time I tried both of the above to no avail. Each I removed and re-seated my video card. I don't know exactly what fixed it but after reseating my video card again and rebooting a dozen times (trying various things each time) my monitor finally came back to life.
I know this is loose but it seems to be related to the RDP, Anyone else have similar experience?

I know this is not a PC forum. I know this is XDA and XDA is for PHONES and my post is 99% about my PC and 1 precarious percent about my phone but on the chance someone else has experienced this..
If you think this is OT or in the wrong thread and you want to throw some flames then please, make em good.. I have no idea how to backtrace.. /\

Oh yeah, I do have one other question on a different subject. Has anyone tried cyanogenmod yet?

USB Issue?

Hopefully you guys can help me out. I'm suddenly having issues with my phone not being detected by my PCs when it is connected via USB.
When i plug my phone into my PC, i receive the error message: "UBS Device not Recognized One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and windowes does not recognize it." from my Windows XP PC. My Windows 7 PC is unable to recognize the device plugged in.
The strange thing is that even though my phone is not being recognized by the PCs, the phone will still charge.
The phone is not in USB Debugging Mode, and I've gone ahead and flashed 2 separate Kernals on my phone, but i still am having this issue. I have tested this out with 3 USB cables, on 3 separate computers (Work (win xp), Home (win7), and friends(win7)).
2 Days ago the USB worked fine for me as i was able to flash Franco Kernal and JB onto my Gnex, but suddenly it's not being recognized by my computer anymore.
Stumped.....Hoping that this isn't a hardware issue and something that i can fix without having any downtime away from my phone.
Any thoughts?
Try other USB port and other USB cable.
Sounds like you're missing some drivers... Remove the device completely in Device Manager & plug it again. For MTP, Windows 7 should find the drivers online by itself. If you need fastboot access, you'll have to download the seperate drivers for that. I'd recommend the GNex Toolkit in that case since it comes with the drivers included (you'll still need to install them of course )

Thx for the reply,
Yes, I have been using the GNEX tool kit, though not the 7.3 version that was released today. The 7.2 version was being used at home and on my work PC. I usually install the drivers from the toolkit then plug my phone in when done. The drivers have been recognizing my phone but not since 2 days go.
I'm currently trying to find the MTP checkbox in the phone Settings to double check if it's checked, but im having problems locating it.

Ah yes, that is where it was hiding....But unfortunately the checkbox is checked.
This seems like a hardware issue, but I'm not certain since the phone still recharges when plugged in

Could be... Charging doesn't necessary have anything to do with data transfer AFAIK... Do you see something in the Device Manager when you plug it? You might have to right click & do a re-scan to force detection.

Device Managers shows "Samsung Galaxy Nexus ADB Interface". The drivers look to be installed.
Also another odd thing, is that after i charge my phone and unplug it from my PC, it will continue to show that it is charging on the lock screen and in the top right corner of my phone. However if i go into Settings ---> about phone. It shows Battery Status : Not Charging.

You get that when the phone is running normally? I think for me that one only shows up when I put it in bootloader mode. In MTP mode it's just a media device like any other AFAIK... I'll check tomorrow when I'm back on my Windows laptop to be sure . Have you tried putting it in PTP mode? If so do you see the device as a camera or is it the same issue?

Sounds like a software bug, but I'll admit it is a bit strange considering your main issue...

Basically the way the Nexus One talked to other systems through USB is completely different from the way the Galaxy Nexus does. The GN uses a new protocol called MTP. Your car stereo probably can't read the files on your phone because it doesn't have MTP support.
Phantom Charging Issue
So I've gone ahead and Fiddled around with my phone for the past day trying to fix my USB issue, and I've discovered that this issue may not be due to USB issues.
Throughout the day when i was playing around and trying to fix my USB recognizing issue, it miraculously started working again. Now I am able to connect to my PCs and transfer the desired files.
Upon this issue being resolved, i noticed that periodically the screen would turn on, on it's own while being off in the locked state. I observed this issue to see what may be causing this, and it is turning on due to my phone thinking that i plugged my micro USB cable in to charge it. The charging indicator on the batter flips on, and even the USB Debugger / MTP Notification is present in the notification drawer.
Apparently this is a known issue with the Battery or charging port with Gnex's. (See below the 2 youtube clips for more details for problem/fix.)

I believe my warranty is void since this phone was purchased in a different country and has had the bootload locked/unlocked a million times. Anyone else have this problem that they have been able to fix manually? Or am I going to have to cross my fingers, ship my phone to get it fixed, and hope the post man doesn't f**k up?

Screen sharing problem, sidesync 3, note2

I've got a note 2, running 4.4.2, a note pro 8.4 running 4.4.2, and an asus win7 computer
i can run sidesync on the pc, connect the note via usb or wifi, and get keyboard/mouse sharing working just flawlessly
as soon as I attempt to do screen sharing, the note2 goes black (which it should) but the virtual phone just loads endlessly, and eventually times out. doesn't matter wifi or usb
if I launch sidesync on the tablet, and then the phone, the tablet see's the phone and attempts to make the connection. phone goes blank, and virtual phone just eventually times out, just like on the pc
has anyone gotten this working on the note 2? is there a specific version that works?
so, 5 minutes after the post, there's windows update notification, and the update is related to samsung USB driver update
do the update, reboot, and holy jebus, screen sharing works!
sorta
now I get connection (usb and wifi work) and I can see the screen mirrored. the phone screen does not black out, but I can't interact with it either. on the pc, I can see the mouse icon turn from spinny blue thing, to solid blue donut, but it does't interact with the phone. I can click the home, back and menu buttons on the bottom of the virtual phone, and they work, but nothing else does
bleh
any ideas?

[Q] Device suddenly won't turn on

Before last week I never rooted the device Nexus 7 2013(WiFi) or did any other modification.
Last Friday I decided to root the device using towelroot(used it on my Nexus 5 as well) in order to download and install Android 5.0 using an app from the Play Store (I forgot the name it had a nexus logo and it downloaded OTA Image and installed it).
Up until an hour ago everything was fine and the device had 42% of Battery, 10 minutes after the last time I used the device I tried to wake it and the screen just didn't turn on(still won't).
I know the device is on because when I plug it in the USB the computer does the sound of a connected device.
Could anyone please help me solve the problem?

Do you get the charging icon when you plug into the OEM Charger, or nothing at all?
You might have a failure on the board. I had the same issue, and would get a weird driver when I plugged into my computer. I was still in the warranty period, so I RMA'ed, however, if you are not, folks have had luck with opening the tablet, disconnecting the battery, and then reconnecting.

Unfortunately nothing at all and I am after the warranty period,
Could you maybe recommend me a guide on how to open the tablet and disconnecting/reconnecting the battery?

Samsung Galaxy S7 Software Issue

Hi,
So a few months ago I regrettably decided to try and root my Samsung Galaxy s7. It did not go well, and from the feedback from the firm I sent it for software repairs, apparently a second partition was created which caused start-up issues. They said they fixed it and for a few months the phone worked well. Until now.
The phone refuses to startup. It is currently plugged into the mains and showing a steady 51% (which I know from previous experience will be the maximum it reaches) If I press the power button it goes through the loading screen (the animated Samsung logo) then shuts off, then tries again and again never making it past this point.
The things I've tried:
Tried every kind of reset
Run the restart process with every combination of sim card, sd card and lackthereof
I remember that the guy that fixed my phone offhandedly commented that he could see the issue on his PC, presumably via a software of some-sorts. Anybody know what this could be?
So, nothing seems to work and in a last bid of desperation I googled the issue and came across this website.
Perhaps a kind Samaritan here might know how to fix my issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You are at wrong forum. If you are new to XDA, then let me tell you, XDA has device specific forums, means we are discussing only one device here, help for other devices will not be provided on different device forum.
Click the following link, it's Galaxy S7 (see guide section, it will have flashing guide of Stock ROM) : https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7
I need a software can be used to manager all the data of my Android phone ,
