What phone are you going onto next? I was considering the Galaxy S8 but the rear fingerprint scanner has spoilt it for me. I understand the reasons... Small bezels etc... But still...

One plus 4? Or 5 if OP skips the 4. The dev community is why. My other phone is a note 5, there aren't many roms available , and there are so many variants of the phone that most of them don't work on mine. While people here are whining that OOS is only on 7.0 I can't even get a stable nougat rom for my 920w. With 1+ I can get two seperate ROMs from OP plus many custom ROMs some of which are bleeding edge nightlies. It's also about half the price of a Samsung device, and the dual sims are a must for me.

No Oneplus any More. They dispoint me... Cz now they are not Friendly with devs... The don't publish Camera bolbs/ right source ? bla bla bla.. They think their phone camera best!! so they don't publish it.. Every Custom rom lost camera Quility!! AND many bugs!! Its not our devs problem.. its a problem of oneplus now a days
Next OnePlus phone, most likely

Probably the pixel 2 but never gonna buy oneplus again

I'm not sure I see what the problem is with OnePlus? It would be nice if they released camera blobs but that's their choice if not.
The OP3 is a great phone. I liked the idea of the Pixel but not for the price. Being waterproof might have swayed me but it's not
Not sure when OP will have another phone.
I'll still likely get the S8! A lot of phones seem to have rear fingerprint sensors now. Huawei, LG, New Samsung and even pixel.

I'll take it from another perspective and tell you which I'm not going to consider:
- Samsung (for trashy closed-system)
- Pixel (for marketing efforts to play Apple prices while still offering a dull-looking device), and very negative community
- ZTE (for sleezy behavior when it came to offering bootloader unlock exclusive to US at the beginning)
- Any overpriced phone with gimmicky features/functions (iris scanners, double cameras, quintillion-pixel density screens, etc.)
Soo... that doesn't leave much to choose from anyway.

Anyone as came from the Oneplus 5 to Honor 8 Pro?

Anyone as come from the Oneplus 5 to Honor 8 Pro?
After having returned my OP5 i'm seriously considering H8Pro
Is it a good alternative performance wise? Better? Worst?
As an Amoled lover ... will I be disappointed with the LCD H9Pro screen as to it's deep blacks and vibrant colors?
Will the 2K display compensate for not being Amoled like the one in OP5?
Thanks :good:

I've used both the devices. I'm using the Honor 8 pro at this moment. Both the phones are very snappy but 1+5 surely has an edge plus Indian variant of Honor 8 pro gets warm at the back side with light usage too which is no the case with OnePlus 5 with the same exact usage! Display? I'll prefer the one on Honor 8 pro for the 2k res & it's very good looking too (it's very marginal difference, nothing noticeable)

Sadly it is having emmc! Is it safe to assume that all Indian Honor 8 Pros are having EMMC as the price is far cheaper than the Global variant! Plus 6+128 model available!

Yup that seems true but then why are they supplying ufs 2.1 versions to reviewers.
Outright cheating.

My opinon- Reviewers received the Global variant (maybe, just maybe) which had UFS! But yes that's not fair as I see many people asking about the same and they are also worried about the heating issue (not uncomfortable though) as they bought the device by watching those "early reviews"

A little but my major problem was that I could not connect to my home router
Only managed to connect to my Devolo 1200+ and not all the times.
Many people have other Wi-Fi problems like drops and speed.
Really bad the Wi-Fi quality on OP5.

All the reviewers have ufs variant and that's why they are getting better performance on their units. All others have emmc and thus, degraded performance.

Had the Honor 8Pro before the OP5 and OP5 is way better. '(Germany - Got the Honor from Netherlands)
Storage was EMMC - Which really enerved me + at that point in time (1 month after release) no root in sight little XDA coverage etc-
Sent it back within the 14 day period.
Both are nice phones but the op5 is IMHO better.

If it would be about the phone only, I'd go with Honor 8 pro but, given the fact I value the development strength when ever I get the chance to get a phone, I'll go with OP5 (if I can buy it :silly: )

Yes the cheap Google One device that has a budget tier camera? It's not even good.
All due respect, if you don't like the 7X, you're free to return it and buy a Mi A1.

Mi A1 has a better camera to be honest
Probably future updates will improve pretty impressed with mine coming from a Moto G5 prob not hard why
Sent from my BND-L21 using Tapatalk
The portrai mode is bonkers in 7X i agree but apart from that honor 7X is far better in terms of front camera and a tad better than MIA1 since that phone simply washes all the photos in yellow for weird reason so 7x is better in terms of overall camera review as far as i can say than MIA1 except portrait mode which is clearly can be improved drastically since pixel 2 can do it then can others with softwares.
if you disagree with my opinion its cz you havent tested it
Here is the best MIA1 vs Honor 7X camera comparison available :
rest all youtubers seem to weirdly like the yellow colors from MIA1 and calling good saturation which is just stupidity but ranjeet captured it like a pro unbiased review..

From what I've seen, I'm pretty satisfied with the results given what I pay for.
Camera
It´s a good camera for normal use?, or not?

this phone vs pixel 4xl?

Just wondering if anyone else was struggling with the decision to get the 70 versus the 4XL. I am on Verizon, grandfathered unlimited data. All I care about is having an unlocked phone. I'm currently on the Pixel 2 XL, and ready for an upgrade, but not sure which direction to go. What are your guys thoughts? All I really care about is having a fast phone with a good battery

Just curious, why do you think that? One plus should have better or equivalent specs
Honestly if camera is super important to you, go pixel hands down. If you just wanna be a spec fanatic, OnePlus.
Personally, I'll always go pixel simply because specs aren't everything. Just something to brag about.
Pixel 4 will have the better camera. At least this time they're also going with 6gb ram. Just comes down to pricing.

Lol yea they have very good specs for price. Since it's their 10th anniversary phone I'm hoping for some solid specs including high refresh rate screen. Who knows might even have under display selfie cam.

People already complaining about the 7T. I might wait for Xiaomi Mi 10 tbh and use it until late 2022
If I can't wait I might just get Galaxy Note 10 (non plus).

I don't have any complaints and for the price what more can you ask for, however things i've read include:
People don't like the camera hump for example and that the OnePlus 7 Pro is an overall better phone.

For what it offers its fantastic, unless you are a camera enthusiast.
Camera on pixel will be sublime. Perfect colour reproduction.
But battery (so long as you can deactivate ,90hz)
Will be superior on the OnePlus.
Pixels always have crap battery.

If I can get a new OnePlus 7 Pro 6GB for the same retail price as the new OnePlus 7T 8GB (₹38k), which one would be better? At the same time I can get the new 7T for less than ₹ 32k. Please note:
7 Pro - 6GB - 855 for ₹ 38k
7T - 8GB - 855+ for ₹ 32k

The McLaren edition will have 12GB I'd assume and that will affect battery life, complete overkill, 6GB is probably more than enough, 8GB is the sweet spot and honestly the most I'd get in a phone for now at least, unless the battery was substantially larger and apps actually utilized it which at the moment they just don't.
If it's also 5G then it'll greatly affect battery life.
The range on 5G and ability to pass through walls etc is awful, so if the phone is forcing power to the antenna to get a good connection your battery will deplete a lot faster.
4G and 8GB is perfect.

Better wait for the note 20... galaxy s20 is a error almost at the level of note 7. A false start for Samsung.
Anyway if you prefer s20 plus after seeing Note20, at that time it will cheaper like always happens.

I know the Ultra S20 has some camera focus issues.
I have the S20 plus and it is a great phone. The Note line is always a feature or 2 richer than the S models. But if you're comparing getting the S20 plus or wait for regular Note 20, not the plus, then I say get the S20 plus.
Some people are big on brand new. I don't mind getting phone 2nd hand. I purchased my s20 plus for $700 + tax. And I kept my Pixel 3 instead of a trade in.
DON'T BUY EXYNOS S20 LINE MODELS! DON'T DO IT. YOU WILL REGRET IT. btw the offer you got isn't special or cheap.

That's not going away anytime soon! Unless you step things down a bit.
The Note 20, if it uses the same lens as the S20, will have the same focal uniformity issues up close simply due to the physics in way a lens works. Autofocus has been resolved to acceptable performance with the latest update IMHO.
Eventually, the multi lens fad will pass and they will focus (no pun intended!) on single sensor/lens performance. A 16MP sensor @ f1.2 would be great.

Well you guys were right About galaxy series I just used 20.min and go back to my pixel 3 xl again. Today I am sending back to Samsung.
According me :
Great screen
Fast smooth experience but
So many bulky apps working under ground
Samsung store it all about for kids
pixel phones pure Android experience
And there is no direct casting from your phone unless if u are usingnetflix, YouTube etc, maybe I could not find it
In addition I saw slightly green line on edges
It is still so good for many users after pure Android experience it is hard to go back multimedia phone for me
I will check note 20; iPhone 12 or pixel 5 in the future.
I always admired of Sony phone however there no iOS support.
In the past I used Huawei p20 pro, xz premium iPhone 7,8 blackberry ,Samsung s10,20plus note,9 , even Nokia's nexus
In my experience my long run phones either note series, Google phones or iPhone.
However thank all y'all spending time and helping me.

Why would you buy a device before you tried it out? You could have tested a demo before you spent all that money. Plus, you paid more than you should have, the S20 Plus 128Gb with Snapdragon SoC is available on eBay for $825.00 without all the Carrier Bloatware. Also, why do you think the Note Series will function better than the S20 Plus? They almost identical, same UI besides the S-Pen, Same SoC, a bigger battery and different camera won't overcome the issues you have with the S20 Plus.
