soft bricked Samsung m30 - Samsung Galaxy M30 Questions & Answers

Finally I unlocked the bootloader, everything was fine.
Installed twrp, phone rebooted and now it's stuck in a boot loop.
I can't access anything via the pc as far as transferring files
What is my next step to fix this phone?

Did you wipe data before booting into system once you had flashed twrp.

Maybe flashing latest stock firmware using ODIN would work.

You are using old TWRP, which does not boor on Android 10, as not compatible with 10. Check this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-m30/how-to/guide-flash-gsi-samsung-m30-t4126133

Bricked my F240L! what now?

Hi,
I tried to install cm11 on my new F240L and i think i used the wrong cwm file on freegee.
Now when i turn it on there is a screen on for a second saying: secure booting error. cause: device unlock! , so boot success!!
after that it goes to a screen loop of cm logo spinning.
i couldn't find a solution online.
What can I do?

I get the same device unlock error when I boot up, but I believe that is normal when you have root.. Did the CM file flash successfully and which one did you use?
yes it said the flash was successful and still its stuck in a loop.
could it be the wrong cwm on freegee?

Can you still get to CWM? If so, try wiping cache and dalvik cache to begin with.. If that doesn't work, do you know how to push files from the computer to the phone through ADB? If you do, here is the link for correct recoveries for the F240L..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2361941
You could download and push one of those recoveries, reboot to recovery, then try to reflash CM11...if all else fails, you can return to stock with the LG Flash tools and start from scratch..

yes there is.
after pressing on install zip it says: install zip from sideload
Do you know how to sideload? You can try to download and sideload another rom that is compatible with your device.. As long as you can get to recovery or download mode you still have hope...If your screen doesn't turn on at all, that's when you are hard bricked and out of luck
---------- Post added at 11:25 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:23 AM ----------
I didn't even think about this, but if it still recognizes your external SD card, you can download a rom onto your computer, copy it to the SD card, then install through CWM.

SD does nor seem to work
I do not know how to do that. Where is it recommended to learn?
You first have to have Android SDK found here:
https://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
This link explains what ADB is and how to use it:
http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/what-is-adb-and-how-to-install-it-android/
I'm not familiar with the F240L as mine is the E980.. I don't want to give you any wrong information...
I did find this thread that looks similar to your problem:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2552699
That may be a start on how to fix it.. I know how frustrating it can be.. I have soft bricked mine once..
thanks! I read and tried pushing several files a few times and they either install successfully and i come back to cwm or are stuck trying to install the rom.
again, any ideas?

Phone Won't Pass Boot

I did the Camera Mod and it so far went well. I added the new XML file and restart my phone, than found out I had to turn the XLM file into rw-r-r, I did that and restart the phone again except this time I can't get past the boot screen.
I tried doing the factory reset on the phone, the option came up and it looked like it was going through the reset but it still won't pass the boot screen, So I turned to LG PC Suite, and tried the upgrade error but whenever I try to run it LG PC Suit crashes.
I have no idea what else to do.
Since you installed a MOD, I assume you have custom recovery, which one do you have?
Are you able to boot into recovery at all?
And you can always restore your phone to stock, there's a stickie somewhere out there.

Once you get back to stock, go ahead and install TWRP and do a backup. There is little value in doing any type of mods without a custom recovery installed-- you're just asking for trouble.

Yeah I'm definitely installing TWRP. I didn't realise replacing 1 XML file would cause my whole phone to mess up.

Soft brick. Bootloop. Fastboot works. Recovery adb works. TWRP GUI broken.

Secure boot enabled.
Device state - unlocked.
I tried to follow the Heisenberg tutorial to flash a custom Rom.
Finished the root. Decided I installed the wrong version of GApps. Went back to stock to redo the process.
Accidentally installed a 6p stock image instead of 5x. Then my troubles began.
I've tried a lot of different things. I don't have a full log of steps taken.
Have tried reflashing different 5x stock images. They flash fine but problem persists.
Problems:
1. Booting to Android bootloops
2. TWRP recovery GUI is non-responsive.
Fastboot works great.
Reflashing TWRP from fastboot doesn't help.
ADB access to recovery seems responsive, but I'm not sure whether commands are actually executing. For example running twrp factoryreset just hangs. All twrp commands do that.
I would like to perform a factory reset. I have TWRP backups that I could restore. I don't know how to do that from fastboot.
First download the full Nexus 5x stock rom from here: https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images then boot your Nexus 5x into its bootloader then on your computer (I am assuming it's Windows) download 7zip from here: http://www.7-zip.org then right click the .tgz stock rom file you just downloaded on your computer then extract it with 7zip. Inside that you will find a .tar file. Extract that then you will find a zip file before extracting the zip file run the .bat file while your Nexus 5x is connected to your computer then hold down your shift key, right click and click open command window here (while you are in the folder where you extracted the zip) in the command window, terminal, CMD, whatever you like to call it then type fastboot -w (that does a factory reset) then type fastboot flash system system.img then fastboot flash recovery recovery.img than fastboot flash boot boot.img than fastboot flash cache cache.img then fastboot flash userdata userdata.img then fastboot flash vendor vendor.img then fastboot flash recovery recovery.img. You should be able to boot back into Android now but you will need to reflash twrp. Also download the any file for 6.0.1 not 7.0 because you will have to do some extra steps for that.
P.S. this MIGHT erase your twrp backups.
Thank You,
Sincerely VibraniumDroid

Flashed radio, no change.
Cyanogen recovery interface functional.
Ran full factory reset. Wiped cache.
Able to navigate with physical buttons. Screen buttons still not working. Cannot use back button. Cannot exit menu.
Cannot reboot from adb due to loss of authorization when switching recoveries.
Rebooted with long power button press.
Wiped system.
Rebooted normally. Stuck on Google screen. I assume because I deleted the /system OS.
Reflashed stock using flash-all.bat. Still bootloops.
Reflashed CM recovery.
A CHANGE! Screen buttons now work.
Flashed TWRP recovery. Buttons work.
Copied TWRP backups to phone. They are for prior Android version, however.
Testing whether current version will boot. Nope; bootloops.
Restored backup. Attempted boot. Stuck on Google screen.

Hanging on what? google logo or bootanimation.
Youve tried LG download mode? (power + volume up, then plug usb into phone).
See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_47Y-yOTF8k
By the way try a full restore and after lock the bootloader.
It doesn't hang. It shows the normal sequence of GOogle screen and colored dots, then reboots.
I've accessed LG download mode but don't know what to do with it.

I think he means he has bootloader access, but it's locked (that is how my phone currently is as well). You can only flash valid/signed zips from there, not custom ROMs or recoveries.
My goal now at the very least is to get the bootloader unlocked again.

Stuck in bootloop after flashing TWRP.

Hey guys. Today I flashed the english TWRP coming from the stock Nougat. Now the phone just wont boot. Whenever I try to boot it, it gives me the error message:
"Your device has been unlocked and cannot be trusted.
ID: N/A"
And TWRP comes up. I've already wiped everything, flashed a rom and it still boots into TWRP.
Please send help, guys.
ok this is LITERALLY the weirdest **** i've ever seen. if I go to fastboot and boot through Factory Mode, it boots up normally, but if I try to boot it normally, it just goes into TWRP. i'm literally going mad with this someone please help me fix this

I'm having the same issue. How do I fix it ?
Can someone please help. I tried using all 3 English twrp versions as well as the Chinese version. I keep getting stuck at the Lenovo boot screen.
The steps I am following are:
Flash twrp
Reboot to recovery
Flash kernel
Reboot to recovery
Flash su
After reboot I keep getting stuck at the Lenovo/moto boot animation
With the Chinese twrp I tried the same thing but it's also not working for me.
I also tried flashing the Verity fix linked in this thread but it's also not helping.
I'm using the Indian Moto Z Play. Can someone please explain what I am doing wrong.

-I had the same problem but I was only able to flash TWRP by @Alberto97.
I got stuck on recovery loop. Then I tried what @vinnegsh just said, boot into factory mode thru the fastboot and it went ahead to system but the cellular data doesn't work(maybe because it's on factory mode). After that I simply rebooted my phone and it's all okay now. (running on the rom I recently flashed it with.)
