edit firmware stock - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Questions &

hi all, I would have a question to ask you since you are more experienced than me .. I would like to know if it is possible to modify an original firmware and then install it via odin so that the guarantee is not affected, such as removing system apps that are not needed to nothing and remove that annoying beep that you hear every time you turn up and down the volume ... thanks to all

No it won't work. But you can do it and flash it on via twrp and yes you'll need root.
Many ppl has done that and they call it custom rom.

don't try to root your new device if you don't used to root...
try before with old device because it is dangerous if you don't know how to do

I'm wait

Actually it depends on the banking app...
For mine, no matter what I try, banking app is not working on my S20. MagiskHide & co... nothing....
A specific xposed module would probably do the job but I don't have coding skills with Xposed.

I just rooted without tripping the Knox flag. There's a thread in the Original Development section about it. It's a fairly simple process

If you want to flash roms then you should go with the auto root method. This just gives root access.

You have to unlock the bootloader too. Unblocking the bootloader will wipe your device.
As a rule of thumb, I always unlock bootloader on day one of purchasing my devices. (mostly Nexus or OP so far). This way you avoid potentially losing data.
Or u can download systemless xposed which will allow to turn on and off to use Android pay

root (access) is obtained via apps like SuperSU
xposed has nothing to do with root access - it is an additional framework allowing for low level modifications (like amplify, etc)
unlocking bootloader is always the first step, from there you can flash supersu (which is NOT just an APK file).
there's a number of threads about it that can explain it better than i.

What app is this. If you root with Magisk you can hide the app from root via Magisk hide. I do this with AirWatch MDM without issue.

Just use the latest stable. I think it's 19.3
Make sure you download right from TopJohnWu's official github, otherwise you don't know for sure what you're getting. Make sure you download both the installer zip as well as the manager apk, since you'll probably need to install the manager app after flashing the zip.

Is there a way to relock bootloader after flashing custom rom. As some app check bootloader as well. Thanks

Nope. Extremely risky let alone stupid. If you want a £1000 paperweight, go right ahead. If they check the bootloader, surely they'd check the flash counter that you just tripped by flashing a custom ROM.

Lol if u dont understand u should probably just wait for an easier method..
Magisk ALREADY does this specifically so apps cant detect it.. ro.boot props cant be added to normal build.prop as they are props passed by the boot loader.. props can do ro. Properties..
Resetprop is a binary that comes with magisk..
