Which stock ROM do I need to flash in order to get the OTA Android 10 update? - Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Questions & Answers

I've tried several ROMS and on my current build, which I thought was stock, I did receive some OTA security updates once I booted it up but I did not receive the Android 10 update. Which ROM is required to enable the OTA Android 10 update?
The latest ROM I attempted was downloaded from here: http://c.mi.com//miuidownload/detail?device=1700354, which will download the file "daisy_global_images_V10.0.13.0.PDLMIXM_20190813.0000.00_9.0_5d0d486f04.tgz". From there I used 7zip to extract it and then I used MiFlash to flash the ROM while in Fastboot. Unfortunately, I received an error "Erase boot_a error". I've never received that error message before so I'm not sure where I made the mistake and if this is even the correct ROM I need to flash to receive the OTA Android 10 update.
Phone is not bricked. Boots up just fine in Android 9. See attachments.
Thank you in advance.

Here's the latest one

Cant install OTA update from AT&T

I tried numerous times and cant get this thing to work! I tried flashing stock recovery to get OTA. I can download the update but once it starts to install it gets to 32% everytime and fails. I also used OTA rootkeeper. I was trying to test this out to see if i can do it so once JB comes out i would have no problem. I also tried to Kies but it says i'm on the latest firmware which is not true. Any ideas as to why i'm having such an issue with this update? I am running factory rom rooted..... Any ideas?

Since you are rooted..hope you have cwm..go into recovery mode..clear cache, clear dalvik cache, and flash the current rom that you are using again..or download the latest stock rom and flash it manually..
If you want theupdate, there is a cwm flashable zip in the General sub forum

Update 3.50.710.1 failed

As the Title suggest I recently got the prompt to download an install this update and every single time (~20 times) I get the red triangle and !.
I get no other sign this failed and when the phone boots again it just asks once more if i would like to download and install the update
I'am running full stock.
Use RUU.exe from HTC's website, it should work

To confirm what you mean by full stock - you're on the stock firmware and stock recovery without root, right?

MediaPad M2 Installed wrong UPDATE.zip

Hello together,
i got a MediaPad M2 801-W. It was running on Android 5.1.1.
So i just downloaded the 6.0 image for it. BUT i downloaded the M2-802Lxxx Version....
I dident know there are differne version of the Tablet....
The Updater just finished fine and the Tablet just started just normal BUT it is now random crashing and restarting the Os.
So i tried to install the correct version back but now the Updater in the os has no Local seetting to select the update.zip.
In Recovery the Updater works but dosent update the correct version.
It is verifying the update and than says "Software install failed".
Is there an other way to update the correct update to the tablet?
Sorry about my bad english....

Flash this in stock recovery through dload method:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5I_q70mNuR4N3JLTnNDYzBEYTg/view?usp=sharing
Then you need the stock 801W rom, extract the update.app and flash it through dload. Then it should work and flash back to stock.
Thank you but your file has only 21kb is this right?
When i put the file in the dload directorie and boot with power + vol up + down the installer is verifying something installs it to 36% and aborts again. =(

Okey for those who did the same **** like me:
First download http://download-c.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=74723&version=273368&siteCode=tw
Than downgrade to this version.
Now you can update to the corect 801-w Android 6.0 version.
Me too install wrong update I have MediaPad M2 801-L, But i downloaded 6.0 the M2-801Wxxx version and got a MediaPad M2 801-W after install update.zip. Updater in the os has no Local setting to select the update.zip. I try downgrade to 5.1.1 M2-801Wxxx version by three buttons, flash stock recovery. But on choose language button "next" not working. Continue try install different stock flash...
Sorry about my bad english....
Just what I needed.
You literally saved my tablet. I had the exact issues (stupidly installed the 801L Marshmallow update on my 801W, which resulted in the non stop rebooting every 5 minutes). Nothing was working and no other roms were being accepted until I came across your post. I made this account just to thank you! The tablet was brand new and was lying boxed and unused for 3 years, so thought I'd use it
Just in the unlikely event anybody else faces this problem, just wanna add one clarification to Isipisi281's original post; to get the first step interim update to happen, make sure you unzip the update file first, then find the update.app file and paste that and it's accompanying folder into the dload folder in your directory, or else the update will fail. The rest is clockwork.
And PS, the M2 runs amazingly after the marshmallow update. Noticeably smoother, snappier and even more frugal with added android features. Highly recommended.
Thanks again!

Changelog: http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G79/g0/v77930/f1/full/changelog.xml
The Full Updates you should be able to install from Marshmallow which will bring you to the current release of Nougat on the Nova and the Small Updates you can install from the Nova Nougat build CAN-L11C432B320 and CAN-L01C432B320.
If your device comes up with NRD90M test-keys then for the CAN-L11C432 variant you can try installing this after to get the correct Build number showing and functionality working: http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...-L11_hw_eu/update_data_full_CAN-L11_hw_eu.zip and for the CAN-L01C432 variant: http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...-L01_hw_eu/update_data_full_CAN-L01_hw_eu.zip.
I have managed to get it to work on the CAN-L01C432 variant but a couple of others have not managed to install the hw eu update for their device which has left them with NRD90M test-keys showing under Build number and themes not working.
I tried to update but it fails at 41%. I'm on CAN-L01C02B130 , Vodafone branded.

These updates are for CAN-L01C432 and CAN-L11C432 variants of the Nova. You can try this if you want to but I am not sure if it will work on a branded device: http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G79/g0/v74460/f1/full/update.zip. This is the latest Nougat update I have found for the CAN-L01C02 variant of the Nova.

Unfortunately yes which is why I said it's up to you if you want to try it out. Some guys were lucky with the beta Nougat releases on the Nova which installed easily via the updater app or recovery on the device whereas you, me and others have had a bit more trouble which has required us to do more to update. Where it is a official Huawei recovery you may be able to flash it with adb without issues but I'm not sure. It's your call if you want to try it.
Thanks for the help man, i flashed first the recovery and then the update and all was ok. Very grateful.

Extract this: http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...-L01_ti_it/update_data_full_CAN-L01_ti_it.zip and put the UPDATE.APP in a dload folder on the root of your SD Card and install it like the main Nougat update. This should fix it so the Build number shows up correctly and some other functionality issues. Once this is done next to Build Number it should say: CAN-L01C02B307, if it does then everything is working fine.

I never installed mine by fastboot using adb, I extrated the big update then put it in a dload folder and installed using the three button method. I dunno why the hw eu pack is not installing as I had this issue and that installed fine for me.

I have no idea then. The update worked fine for me using the three button method and all I had to do after was install the hw eu update that matched and it is all working fine. Yes you can install archived updates through custom recovery but I have not tried it with Huawei updates so I dunno what the outcome will be.
Here is a couple of screenshots which show the update working for me.
Flashed the CAN-L11C432B340 full update with the 3-button-method coming from Emui 4.1 (Android 6).
The update was successful up to 100%, but then I got a flash failed error. Phone booted succesful to Emui 5.0 with the NRD90M test-keys bug so in addition i flashed update_data_full_CAN-L11_hw_eu.zip and all seems to be fine except the hotspot functionality.
Does the hotspot feature work for you on B340? I cant enable it and after a while i get a settings force close....

can i install on retbr?
I think the location version does not matter as long as you have the right build number. I had retla .15 and tried to flash .35 in order to update to .67 (fail), the ota ask for .14/.15. So I had to install stock .15 again and redo the process.
Something I'd like to add is the stock recovery did not recognize internal or sd storage, so I had to push ota via ADB.
*Also my warning bootscreen changed from N/A to Bad Key multiple times for apparently no reason. But everything is working fine.
Pls tell me how u went back to 15 plsss

Exactly what I have been trying to tell. There is a fingerprint mismatch that happens. On a side note how did you manage to take yourself back from .35 to .15 and then update to .67. I get the last part, but downgrading with a higher bootloader; and where did you get the .15 build
You can simply install one of the stock versions already posted here in the forum, I just downloaded the .15 and installed it again via fastboot with the command lines (also explained in that post, in comments) like any other stock rom. Then, after starting the phone you must activate USB debbuging mode to be able to use ADB commands, so you can restart the phone in stock recovery and activate the push ota update via ADB.
Anyway, if this sounds complicated I think there is already a flashable .zip to apply ota, you can give it a try.
