Either get redmi 3s which should available soon or redmi note 3 pro (snapdragon 650)...you will not get Vulcan related improvement in android 7 if you choose device with old generation SOC
i mean i terms of heavy gaming.. do you recommend it? or what phone would you prefer?
Redmi note 3 pro
Redmi Note 3

Which is better redmi note 5 pro or honor 7x ?

Hello All...
A 7x owner here.. thought I'd peak in on your thread
I hope you all are enjoying your new Note 5 Pro's !
For Your Viewing... I offer up a couple of links to some youtube comparsions of your Note 5 Pro vs The Honor 7x.
Memory: This test is interesting.. Please have a look
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKDhb1CZ29M
Camera: We all have our preferences here... so you be the judge..
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VULfz1LXFxY
Screen: I concede this one to the Note 5 Pro.. :good: color saturation is richer than on the 7x.
Again guys,
Congrats on your shiny new Note 5's once kernel source is released.. ROM support will be plentiful...
For me it's Redmi note 5 pro.
The Note 5 Pro offers a lot better battery life and performance (both cpu and gpu wise). Cameras seem comparable. The Honor looks better (imo, I guess it's pretty subjective though). It is also more expensive but at the same time you won't have to import it and will get warranty wherever you are which is pretty important. It is also already available while we have no idea when the Pro will get a global version (if you need additional bands). Overall, I'd say the Pro is a lot better device but things like availability and warranty make it harder to choose.

Redmi Note 6?

Hi
I had bought the Redmi Note 5 global version, but lost it since I was mugged. Now I wanted to order a new one since I really liked the one that got stolen from me. But I got thinking, since Xiaomi loves to release new devices very often, is there a Redmi Note 6 coming soon? I'd sure hate to buy the Note 5 only for the Note 6 to come after it with better specs and design.
Thanks!
Edit: Doesn't have to be a new phone from the Note series, any Xiaomi phone that will have a SD SoC, and preferably the same size battery of 4000 mAh. I don't really care much about camera.
Redmi 6 Pro is available. Notched with 5.84" display and 4000maH battery. SD 625 as usual. Check it out.

This one slipped from me! It looks great tbh, apart from the chin and the notch. I've never had a phone with SD 625, is it noticeably slower than 636 on the note 5?

No difference at all during general usage like playing light games, watching videos and such.
The game loading time will be a little more than rn5 pro.

yap , sd625 slower in big difference than sd636 , but sd625 more battery friendly. suggest you keep on redmi note 5 pro or wait for mi max 3 .
There is a difference.
It is Redmi 6, that is replacing the old Redmi 5 series aka Redmi 5, Redmi 5a etc.
The current 6 is NOT note 6, but plain Redmi 6 pro.
Note 6 pro is expected end of the year with 7xx SoC

In day to day activities, the difference is very very less. May be in gaming, it might be a little significant. My brother has a Note 4 and it flies along well with MIUI 9.
Redmi Note 5 is still a better option than Redmi 6 Pro imo. SD 636 is way better than SD 625.
Thanks guys
I guess if I'm going to wait, I'd better wait for the new Mi Max 3 which is coming with a huge battery and a better SoC.

Will the Redmi Note 8 Pro's development be overshadowed by the Redmi K30 4G's?

It's early days, as the Redmi K30 4G only launched in China a few days ago, but it seems to be the "Qualcomm Snapdragon equivalent" of the MediaTek Redmi Note 8 Pro in terms of specifications, and it seems as though they will be similarly priced; although this will vary between regions, and I am assuming the Redmi K30 4G will be launched globally, which I can't find confirmation on yet.
Given how hard the XDA developers are working to try and modify the Redmi Note 8 Pro (GCam / Rooting / TWRP / Overcoming the hard-bricks that require an authorised service account), I'm concerned that when the Redmi K30 4G launches, it will overshadow the Redmi Note 8 Pro's development, because it will be easier to develop for the Redmi K30 4G.
May I have some of your opinions please? I realise I'm trying to predict the future a bit, but my argument above seems like a reasonable assumption.
It seems to me, that if the Redmi K30 4G gets launched globally (with the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset), the two phones would directly compete, and would steal sales from each other? Unless I'm missing something, and there will be separate audiences for each phone, that would keep Redmi Note 8 Pro's development alive and strong?

While i don't see how endeavours that already has taken place to jumpstart development on this device will stop in favour of a better device, if the K30 4G is priced just right, i see a lot of people comparing the Note 8 Pro to the K30 before deciding. This phone is nothing but convincing in every way other than potential development so most people WILL select the Note 8 Pro but for the ROM junkies like me, the K30 will be the better purchase. This will at the end of the day mean less people using the device. Less users = less testers. Less testers = less new development. Simple as that.

Note 8 Pro or 9S

I have a new Note 8 Pro 6Gb Ram & 64GB, unopened.
However I have seen that I can now get the Redmi note 9S 4GB RAM (on promo) for the same price. The question should I order the 9S and return this one.
What is important for me is battery life, display quality and custom rom support. Overall Performance should be 'smooth' but I'm no gamer, just play the odd game.
Oh the size is important, I don't want anything too big. Just holding the Note 8 Pro, I am already thinking its already maybe abit too big. The 9S adds a couple more mm.
I guess future custom rom support for the 9S should be very good, it looks like it will be a big seller and having a Snapdragon CPU probably means more choice of custom roms ?
Any thoughts ?

Redmi note 9 pro aka note9s is way too big. And the finishing is not as good as note 8 pro. The thick black plastic around the sreen is thicker than redmi note 8. You can see from the side.
You should keep note 8 pro.

Redmi Note 9 Pro is not the same as Note 9s. For example, Note 9 Pro has NFC. 9s does not.
