[Q] Too many pattern attempts!

I have locked out my HTC Desire phone and DO NOT want to perform a Factory Reset as I do not want to lose all the data/contacts that I have on my phone. Unfortunately I have not backed up for a few months. I have called the manufacturer to obtain assistance but they have only provided me with the advice that I need to do a factory reset. I can't access my Google account, despite entering the correct information, because apparently wifi apparently does not work when the phone is in this locked out mode.
Is there any way to overcome the lock without a factory reset?
I'm not too technically minded, so a step-by-step detailed instructions would assist.
Thank you for any assistance offered!
Strange... as far as I know and experienced, you DON'T need any kind of internet connection for entering the Google account information. It unlocked for me without being connected to the internet. At least, it was like that on stock 2.2
Sent from my customized HTC Desire using TTP
Only if USB debugin is on. using adb.

7.1.2 FRP Problem

Hello guys!
I have next problem:
My sister had factory reset her device, and she forgot her google account, which were used for this smartphone.
Now, when we try to start the phone with different account, we are facing FRP, and we can't use the phone.
As it appeared USD Debbuging and Bootloader are locked. Firmware: 7.1.2 (N2G47Z, Jul 2017)
May someone guide me how to start this device?
Thank you in advance!
There is no way to bypass or remove FRP. Your best bet is to contact your carrier.
I did remove FRP from 5X August security patch, I can try to help you... Do you have telegram, so that we can chat?

That's wrong!, I did remove FRP on my 7.1.2 through the help of these guys https://www.facebook.com/giaiphapandroid
They connected to my pc via teamspeak and you connect your phone to it. They use Lg flashing software I belive to completely reset the phone to stock. Had to pay 20 US dollars, I was very skeptical at first but heard they were legit.
is possible to bypass that, i did it few days ago
this is the easiest way if you have the 32gb version

if not you need to find the TOT file.

If it is indeed the FRP lock then you have two options:
Input the last used google account information and password. Then perform a factory data reset to turn off the FRP lock
If you purchased or was given the phone contact the person whom you received it from and get the google account information. After entering the account and once your able to use the device perform a factory data reset to disable FRP lock
Otherwise no other help can be offered because the FRP lock is an anti-theft measure. If it was your google account last used and you don't remember your username/password then contact google for help. If you purchased or were given the device then you need to return it and/or get your back.
It is important to remember that when you sell/buy a phone (or give it to another person) it is important to always perform a factory data reset on the device. By performing a factory data reset you remove the google account information and disable the FRP lock.
Thank you, none of these options come into play. There is no way to get rid of this situation with this software? ;(.. Regards

FRP lock is enabled because a google account was present on the phone. In order to remove the FRP lock you need to input the Google account information and perform a factory data reset after your able to access the settings menu.
Was it your google account information that was last used on the phone or someone else's?
Granted it would be helpful if you put a little more info on what it is your trying to do exactly with the phone and what happened leading up to the issue (example: Are you trying to flash firmware to it, are you trying to root it (if root exists for the model), did you buy the phone, did someone give it to you, etc)
It is plain clear that the device is from an unclear origin, a legally owned device can ALWAYS be serviced ultimately by samsung or carrier, whichever one does it in such or such country, when people says it is "imposible" then for sure, they have no legal proof of ownership
I just found that OP posted a similar situation in the honor 10 section, back in 2018, in which of course nobody offered help, as it looked suspicious

The phone had a google account, I did a hard reset. And the blockade popped out. I can go to the Samsung website but I will have to pay for this service. I wanted to rotate the device. I'm not a layman, I know a little about phones. However, this model had the latest firmware. I am not a thief and I have documents for this device.

The device is legally bought, I just do not want to go to the site and pay for removing the lock, it is an authorized service on this latest Android.

Factory data reset disables FRP lock. If that is what you did then you shouldn't be getting a prompt. Since you can't enter the Google account information it is apparent it was not your Google account last used.
Unfortunately having papers saying you bought it doesn't mean the phone was obtained legitimately. The person you got it from may not have had the right to sell it.
I suspect there is more going on here then meets the eye.
If Samsung said they really can fix it go that route.
The proper ways to get help with FRP lock have been posted.
Recover the Google account and log in as usual, or seek official help from Samsung. Any other means will not be discussed on XDA.

Help - Locked phone by another google account

Someone knows how to resume a phone from a locked google account, not my account.
Tried to reflash the firmware from Odin, but nothing, on setup screen the phone asked me for another account
Ask the person who the phone belongs to
I'm guess this phone was purchased used?
This is called FRP lock. No way around it. You need to get in touch with the owner of the google account and have them release it from their account or give you the password to their account.
There are ways to bypass FRP on this device.... Won't get much help here, but google may show you the way

Forgot unlock pattern on a stock phone

Hi there,
i have a Desire Z from 2011 with some pictures on it i would like to backup.
Unfortunately i tried to unlock the phone too often with the wrong unlock pattern and now i have to enter google account information to unlock it. Unfortunately the google account is from 2010 and i don't have the name, the recovery adress - nothing.
It is S-ON and i wondered if it would be possible to root it to delete the unlock pattern information. As i can't unlock the phone i can't enable usb debugging.
So
1) It is somehow possible to get new tries for the unlock pattern (i think i have an idea what it was)?
2) Is it somehow possible to root the phone in this state?
Thanks
