USB - Moto G8 Play Questions & Answers

I installed the motorola drivers on the PC and enabled debugging on the cell phone but even so my pc does not recognize my cell phone (MOTO G8 PLAY), the cable is not bad because it charges my cell phone. My PC recognizes my mother's cell phone (MOTO G4 PLUS). can anybody help me?

Don't use usb debugging for transfer, use
USB Configuration options
It's further down the list.

Have you.tried on different OS, winXP.
I'm using fastboot and flashtool on win7 but sometimes win7 cause these issues.
Install flashtool, go to folder where it's installed and open folder drivers.
You'll see exe file (can't remember name) open and install drivers for XS (scroll down) and you'll see fastboot and flashtool drivers install them too.
Restart PC, turn your phone off.
Then plug usb cable in to phone (only phone) press and hold vol up and connect other side of usb cable to your PC and wait a few seconds.
It should be recognized now.

Hi there! I had the same problem with my computer. It may just be the drivers for your phone. If you go to the Sony website and find your phone model that should be a page for downloads. In the downloads there will be either a download for the drivers or download some sort of program that allows you to sync your phone. If you download that program it should install drivers automatically if not try and find the drivers separate. If you still have no luck, contact Sony! Hope this helps,
Good luck ^_^ quote me if you need more help!

Have you installed all the drivers for the G3 on your PC? Try installing LG PC Suite first and then plugging in your phone. It'll install the drivers, then use Snappea.

Can not get computer to recognize watch

Someone with more knowledge please help me.
I can not, for the life of me, get my computer to recognize my watch.
I've tried everything, I've tried installing the driver package another user posted.
I've enable usb debugging in dev settings.
I have adb working correctly but when I type adb devices it's blank.
The only glimmer of hope is I successfully connected my watch via bluetooth debugging and got a debugging dialog on my watch.
I've tried on two computers as well
I really need a detailed guide on how to get my computer to recognize this damn thing
Thanks - A very frustrated novice
Me too. Exact same situation. It was like i read my problem. Also i manage to unlock the device in fastboot mode. Adb in that mode is comunicating with the watch. Please help us. I dont know what to do anymore.

Just managed to get my watch into fastboot mode but I still can't connect or recognize device in adb
Are you trying to connect while the watch is unlocked (screen on, not in ambient mode or off)?

Does your PC react at all when you plug in the USB cable? (Sorry if this is too basic.) Just wondering if its a bad charging cable.

Yes, my pc makes a noise and in my device manager the watch is identified as a Marshall London device. I think that's due to one of the many drivers I attempted to install. Thanks for your help by the way

Nevermind. It's identified as HUAWEI watch under the other devices section. I can't find a compatible driver

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
A request for the USB device descriptor failed.

Any ideas?
I have some problem how to solve??Any one have solve?
Thx
I've posted this many times in the various Huawei forums and it has worked for everyone so far.
First, remove all other drivers using USBDeview.
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/usb_devices_view.html
Then use this tutorial to manually install the Google USB driver.

Good luck!
edit - here is a fool proof method.

I know it's been a long time but were you able to find a solution ? I'm having the exact same problem.

Backup phone - smashed screen unable to choose MTP transfer mode.

Hello guys I've had some bad luck recently and I've dropped my phone and completely smashed the screen so, I'm looking for a way to fully back up my phone, including apps, app data, messages etc I would ideally like all the databack however if I can't then I'll have to live with it.
Lucky I have USB debugger mode enabled so I can get to the phone via adb shell, however the xperia software won't connect to the phone unless its MTP mode, the phone is currently in charging only atm, I looked using the adb shell and it it says the following usb modes are enabled MTP and ADB however sony software won't connect.
Could anyone help me please backup the data.
Thanks, Mr. Pineapple
Do you have an USB OTG cable? You can connect a mouse and use the phone normally and enable mtp. If not, try to install some VNC server or similar vía adb

I have no idea how I would be able to do this, do you have any good guides?
I also broke my screen last Christmas and using an OTG cable (https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias=aps&field-keywords=usb+otg), which is a converter from normal usb to micro, I could connect a pc mouse and after restarting the phone, it becomes usable (because you can't tell the phone to detect it using the screen) and you can use the menus and stuff (assuming the screen works but not the tactile sensor).
After searching a bit, it seems not to exist a free VNC server if you are not root in the phone, so maybe there is some graphic application that uses ADB and allows you to extract your files from the phone.
You said that a command tells you that the mode is correct, but does it allow you to change it? Maybe there is a command to change USB connection mode, have you searched for it?
