Where can i Download OxygenOS 10.0.12.HD65BA? - OnePlus 7T Questions & Answers

I want to root my OnePlus 7T and my Phone is on OxygenOS version 10.0.12.HD65BA, so i need to download the OxygenOS 10.0.12.HD65BA zip-file anywhere, to root my phone.
Normaly i can find the newest version online on www.oneplus.com/de/support/softwareupgrade but there is just the previous version 10.0.11.HD65BA.
So can i download the right file anywhere else or do someone know how long i have to wait, until oneplus uploads the newest version to their website?
Thank you.

Use twrp to grab your existing boot.img then root it with magisk, flash with fastboot.

Check this thread. https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7t/how-to/oneplus-7t-repo-oxygen-os-builds-t3997037
Downloading it now.
This is the updater version though not the one with the broken out image files. I'll play with TWRP later. My partitions are encrypted and I haven't figured out how to unlock them from TWRP yet. Still new to TWRP on 1+.
[edit]
Screw the TWRP thing. I like easy. I went to this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/extracting-boot-img-stock-firmware-t3909612 , downloaded the payload extract tool, extracted the payload.bin file inside the OTA. Now I have all the IMG files. Copy boot.img to my device, run Magisk and patch the boot image. Copy it back to my PC, reboot to bootloader, fastboot boot the patched flash to make sure all is well, if all works then flash the boot.img to the device, restart and done. I said easy right? It wasn't bad.

[Q] How do you make a system.img from firmware zip

Problem: We can download the firmware from Asus in the form of a zip file. We can use adb sideload <firmware>.zip to sideload the firmware.
Request: How can I flash that firmware using fastboot? It looks like I need to use a .img file. How do I convert that .zip file to a .img file?
Reason: I found a situation where using the sideload method didn't seem to work correctly. I ended up having to get a pre-rooted .img and flashed that, but I want a "virgin" img file. Thanks.
If you install zip from ASUS download site (not OTA!) then you will get virgin stock ROM after update.
This kind of update (around 1GB) erases system partition before install, so it doesn't matter how hard you've modified previous firmware. SU, Xposed, etc - everything will be automatically wiped before install.
The question is how do you convert .zip to .img?

But keep in mind, it's for advanced users. I would say, for developers.
Thanks. I asked that nice feller if he was able to do such a thing as I'm not a dev or even well-versed in Linux.
What firmware zip are you looking to flash?
flashing system.img was just temporary solution, as the only way to root or modify firmware before bootloader unlock.
With unlocked bootloader and custom recovery you can modify update.zip as much as you want and then install it.
Even if you don't want to unlock the bootloader, then you can use temporary custom recovery and install any modified zip.
So, in general you don't need to create system.img anymore. Just use zip to install whatever you want.

Hi,
can you make system.img, pre-rooted or not, like @shakalaca?
I tried but I haven't enough knowledge to do, though I tried to install a ghitub, etc, etc.
I would like to download the system.img fro last firmware, Z00A-WW.2.19.40.22.
Thanks

10.0.5 boot.img?

Hey all! I'm trying to root my OnePlus 7t but I'm on 10.0.5 stock and I can't find a patched boot.img, or even a stock one to patch in Magisk. I'm on the global variant. If someone could point me in the right direction, that would be grand. I have already read mostly all the posts...
I have the US version which I think is also the global version. Here's my patched boot.img for 10.0.5
https://drive.google.com/file/d/12tZN5D7dmovIeqsx8sTF-B0z2gxA6LG8/view?usp=sharing

Don't ask why the file sizes are so different. It just gets smaller for some reason after patching it in magisk.
I just booted with an older one and flashed the latest magisk

I would try fastboot boot before you use fastboot flash just to make sure that the device will boot successfully with the images. You should only need to fastboot boot magisk_patched.img, then open Magisk Manager and install Magisk by choosing the direct install option in the list. You only need the steps I mentioned to have root, and if you flash it to A and B at once you can get stuck in a bootloop. I had that happen at one point from flashing both partitions, and I dont recommend trying it.

Ya, I tried every relevant boot image I could find in the forums, and the device didnt work properly with any of them. The only one that allowed the device to boot successfully caused the wifi and sounds to not work. So I downloaded the full update from OnePlus and extracted it to a folder, then used payload dumper to extract all of the individual images out of the payload.bin file from OnePlus. I copied the boot.img into the phone storage and installed Magisk Manager, then patched the stock boot.img and copied it from the phone to my pc. Then I used fastboot boot magisk_patched.img to make sure the image I made would work. I booted the device and inside Magisk Manager I chose direct install in the list of options and everything went smoothly, and I didnt need to rely on finding images online that would hopefully work.

Hi guys
Can any one provide 10.3.3 (India) stock or patched boot img
I can't find it at all
Yesterday I just received my new "OP7T Global ROM - HD1900".
Unbox it and played for a few hours with the build in version of Oxygen OS (HD65AA) with the latest update downloading in the background.
After a few hours I decided to try and root the device and instal Adaway so I unlocked the bootloader and flashed this boot image.
Everything went well but if I remember correctly there was a Weather App and a Recorder App in the out of the box pre-installed Oxygen OS and now after I flashted the root image with Magisk patched there are nowhere to be found. Is this root patched image suited for the global ROM or there is for the European ROM? Did the flashing of the patched image removed the two apps or the latest update doesn't include them?
here the same no SIM. anyone a new magisk boot.img European Version ??????

I thing this patched boot image is for the Global ROM Oxygen OS 10.0.11 HD65AA Phone model HD1900.
What version of the phone do you own?
You can always flash back the original boot image the same way you flashed the patched image.
(Although I have the global model, I wanted to test the European ROM and rooted with this patched boot image. I had problems with SIM recognition and lag. So I wipe everything and flashed back the Global ROM)

First of all you have to clarify what version of the phone do you have, European or Global.
Next step should be to find the stock boot.img for your ROM and then flash it with fastboot commands the same way you flasthed the Magisk patched boot.img

OK, if you bought the phone form official Oneplus store then you defensively have the European version.
The stock boot image is inside the Fastboot ROM zip. You can download the hole file from the following link
https://sourceforge.net/projects/fastbootroms/files/OnePlus 7T/
Assuming that you were on the latest update, you want to download the file 10.0.11-EUROPE-OnePlus7TOxygen
When you downloaded, unzip it and look for a file named "boot.img" that is your stock boot image. You can flash it the same way you flashed the Magisk Patched boot.img. Then the phone should boot with no problems.

I contacted OnePlus support and they said they will send me some files and then arrange a remote session to flash a new OS to my phone. If that does not work, I will try your method.

Tried unsuccessfully to root numerous time, getting stuck on Fastboot Mode.
Then having to restore with MSMdownloadtool.
I have unsuccessfully tried using python to extract the boot.img, so I used the OTA boot.img.
Isn't the OTA boot.img the same as the python extracted version?
Is it easier for me to update to the latest OS 11 then root?
Thanks in advance

Get the OTA download from oneplus website, put the zip on your phones root (Outside the downloads folder) upgrade your phone to OxygenOS 11.0.3 and then extract the boot.img from the OTA and patch it with magisk, rename the newly patched magisk boot img to "boot.img" and flash boot with it.
Worked for me.
Edit: Your phone is most likely on OxygenOS 11.0.2 thus making the 11.0.3 boot.img incompatible.
