LG710EM - Video recording problem (v30b Android 10) - LG G7 ThinQ Questions & Answers

Hello, after updating my lg g7 from android9 20k to android 10 30b via LGUP clean installation, the stock LG Cam has stopped recording Video, the .mp4 file is created in the gallery, but it is corrupt and is not played by any player (stock, VLC, MX, BS).
The strange thing is that with the GCAM the videos are recorded and played correctly, so I don't think it's a hardware or codec problem.
Do you have any ideas? Maybe the cam in apk and the priv-app folder to share?
Thanks

Damaged camcorder functionality. Need help.

I tried using this library update (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=935017) by -={antibyte}=- to obtain 720p fullscreen recording on my Moto Defy. Result: Camcorder crashes on startup. Quick switch to CIF mode (had to do this from the Camera app) and it records but switch back to VGA and it crashes.
Stupid me forgot to backup before I did this so I need the default media_profiles.xml found in /system/etc and the default libraries found in /system/lib.
Yes, I am a noob. I switched from iOS to Android just last month.

Actually that topic talks about 720p playback and fullscreen 848x480 recording (so not 720p recording), question:
did you just copy and cut the libs?
or did you flash the .zip from here?
If the .zip was flashed then you actually have a modified blurcamera.apk in your /system/app folder. Replacing blurcamera.apk with the original one should be enough to fix the problem.
If you're on froyo 2.2.1 you can take this one.

I have this problem as well. Have been searching around for an hour for this fix but have not found one yet. I didn't backup either. I want to avoid doing a full restore if possible.
Anyone out there?
Bump! I need a fix. Even standard VGA would be fine. Anyone have a .zip to update via recovery??? I would like to have my camcorder back :-(
I have the same problem.
When I select VGA recording Camcorder crashes at beginning,
only works with CIF.

Thats because of the build.prop. What you can do is extract your original ROM nandroid (should be able to find it somewere on the forum) and then take the files out of there.
Thank you for the suggestion.
Now I flashed the phone with RSD Lite and everything is back to normal.
this is becasue the internal camera app doesnt support the high res modes, so just dl a replacement app that does. the updated 720p also seems to break vga mode, I assume somethign to do with the compression mode used? I had exactly the same problem on mine, I never really used the camcorder app anyway so i just didnt bother with the 720p files when i reflashed it recently.
but yeah, download another camcorder app and all is well!

CM12 recognises only some audio files

Hi,
I have just flashed a recent nightly of CM12 on a replacement i9195, but the Music app and Apollo only read some of my media.
Interestingly the Gallery app won't display any files any where. Even those in DCIM directory.
ES File Explorer can display and play all my audio and pictures.
Current ROM is : cm-12.1-20150625-NIGHTLY-serranoltexx.zip
Previous ROM that could read on same device was : stock XX Android 4.4. Don't recall exact version because I flashed over this.
Does any body have some starting ideas?
Kind regards, Sophie.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro change video player default

Hi guys,
I did research about the default video player in Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro with google and here in xda forums but I didn´t found a solution. It seems that a lot of Xiaomi users have this problem but it doesn´t work to change video player default app. Maybe xda has tips & tricks.
Changing default apps can be done in apps > customize apps > default apps. Changing default apps works for all exept Video player.
I changed the default value (which was "choose default") video player to vlc player and started a video via file explorer. The video opens in a Xiaomi video player. I did a reset for default apps and changed again to vlc player as default and it didn´t work. Tapping and holding on the video its not possible to open via another app but only send to vlc player which didn´t work.
After trying to set default video player app via app customizing I deleted some packages with "player" via ADB tools. It still opens videos with a Xiaomi video app. But I can´t find the video player "app" Xiaomi is using.
Does anyone know how to change the Xiaom default video player?
A strange thing is that I didn´t see a Xiaomi video player app before and after using ADB tools to delete packages.
I have faced the same issue wih Redmi 5A.
Already installed VLC app.
Then now i have deleted some more apps and went ot default gallery App and pressed on a video. Now it has asked for a player. So my problem has been solved.
attaching a screenshot for additional deleted apps. Try out these apps too. (Dont blame me if something goes wrong. Try at your own risk)
Cant attach screenshot. dont know why. but adding the text from ADB tool

Done!
The only solution I found was disabling it from ADB tools. You can add it manually, package name is: com.miui.videoplayer
When you disable it, you'll most likely lose the ability to edit slow motion videos, though. And it can't be installed as a user app, so if you reinstall it, it will go back to system.
