Stuck after flashing twrp.img from laptop. - Lenovo K8 Note Questions & Answers

Good morning everyone.
Today I tried to flash twrp.img from a laptop to my phone and I'm stuck on a black screen saying,
'USB transferring...
USB transmission OK Time:601ms Vel:24259KB/s'
I tried to manually power off my phone by using "Volume up+Volume down+Power" buttons simultaneously but it didn't work. Please suggest any ways that are useful in your regard.
Thank you.

[Q] Can't get into Odin mode

I recently got a t989 with firmware UVMC6 preinstalled. And I can't get the phone to odin mode. I have tried all methods like inserting usb cable while holding volume up and down button, inserting usb cable while holding power and volume down button. But it always take me to recovery mode instead. I even tried to boot it through adb command prompt but the phone isn't recognized by adb. I have usb driver installed correctly. I have used different usb cables. Does anyone know if the lastested batch of T989s even have a download mode?
Thank you for your help?

Try holding just volume down instead of both... (telus/koodo phones use volume down only to get to download mode)

EMERGENCY Brick!

hi,
any help is hugely appreciated.
I wiped my phone in recovery with the option to wipe for new custom rom, this worked fine. when i went to install custom rom it failed and then turned itself off. now the phone just gets stuck at the Sony logo. the only way i can turn it off is via the red button in the sim slot.
I am unable to connect to the computer at all, no fastboot. I'm also unable to boot into recovery to restore.
Please help. Hope i haven't ****ed it up beyond fixing
Thanks
Flash a stock ftf with flashtool (in flashmode). You should definitely get into flashmode and fastboot, otherwise there is a problem with your computer.
Funny, I didn't even know there was a red button Holding Volume Up + Power for a few seconds always worked for me, no matter in which state the phone was.
Hi all,
I've exactely the same problem !!!
My phone stuck to Sony logo, and not reconyze on my 3 PC.... before that, usb connexion work fine on all PC, but now.... nothing
I've just POWER + and VOL+ (its power off the phone), i've no led color light
I've try flashboot, but not detect my phone
i've try to install :
flashtool-0.9.16.1-windows (not detected)
Flashtool-drivers-1.5-20140318 (my computer doesnt not see my phone)
Xperia_Z1_Compact_driver (my computer doesnt not see my phone too)
I can't go into Flashmode...
When i power off my Z1c, and i plug usb + (vol+) nothing appear...stuck Sony logo...
I'm lost... I need your help XDA members ! just U can help me
PS : the red button is in the SIM slot, but i think is same POWER + (VOL+).... its power off the phone
Because you're doing it wrong. Vol+ enters fastboot mode, you have to press Vol- to enter flashmode. Then use Flashtool to restore the firmware.

Turn on Robin with TWRP recovery without a power button

Hello everyone, I got a problem again with my Robin, when I try to turn on the phone I do it with my charger since my power button and volume buttons are smashed, now since I cant use my power button I cant start the phone, and after a while it boots me intro TWRP, so my question is Is there a way to turn on my Robin without my power button on TWRP?
Your help is very aprecciated. :fingers-crossed:
I would think mounting it to a pc and issuing a reboot command would work. I never thought TWRP loaded automatically though.

I already did that, and it didn't work :crying: it goes to fastboot mode, I cant choose anything and just stays in fastboot for a while then it goes back to TWRP.
Maybe your smashed buttons are getting pressed at boot simulating the fastboot and/or recovery.

Which ever combination, Vol- + power phone power of
with in sec it boot to Qualcomm mode

Try entering download mode with phone disconnected from USB cable.
Also try to see if it gets recognized by LG-UP or by LG Bridge. These 2 softwares don't need download mode to be able to flash, just the phone to be recognized on some PORT.
Try also factory reset hard menu. Also try switching between Slot A and Slot B. There is also this backup method. Phone is not dead on one of those slots.
If nothing works (but slot a slot b should 100% work) , wait for the firehose, it's just around the corner. That will restore the phone back 100%.
For more info search v50thinq on telegram app. :good:
I can t get to download as it freezes and without the USB cable it doesn't even try and enter. I appreciate the recommendations. I was thinking of the a/b seit hbut without the use of fastboot I am at a loss of how to switch between the two as I thought the system chose and the switch happened upon rebooting once a system had been selected ie as in turning the unit off after loading the os set a flag to go to the opposite system upon completing the inftframs and boot sequence.

So, if the device, as you say, lost power during an update like that, then almost assuredly you have at least one, if not numerous corrupted partitions.
And, it's specific partitions on the device that allow it to enter download mode. One of these most know about or have heard of is the laf partition. But other have to be there also for it to work, I don't remember exactly what the others off the top of my head, but that info is easily found.
The key thing you need (or any others commenting same prob), is to be able to enter EDL mode and have qfil installed and recognizing the device. If you can get that far, it would be easy to find the correct partitions you could flash with qfil and then immediately go from qfil to download mode.
Many many people have done this. Just get qfil set up (see guides section) and get the device recognized. that takes some effort but it's def doable.
