I love my stock Honor 7X as it is, but I don't want OTA updates

How do I keep everything about my phone stock, but stop getting the OTA updates? I love the Honor 7X how it is stock, so I don't want a custom rom, but I do want to root and install Magisk.
Is it possible to do these 3 things:
1. Keep stock EMUI 8.0.0
2. Root and install Magisk
3. Not get anymore OTA updates?
Thanks!

OTA update after root

I recently bought S9 and planning to root. After root, can I install OTA, if I'm on stock ROM (Magisk system-less root, without changing any partition)? I searched this in many threads and I still have no clear idea, the OTA update fails on stock or the custom roms.
(I previously used Huawei and Xiaomi phones and they flawlessly installed OTA updates within root, root lost after update but anyway updated ).
Yes OTA works as long as the firmware you are on is stock firmware without any mods/custom
Status must stay "Official"

How to update ROM after root?

Hi,
Almost a year ago I successfully rooted my A3 2017 with Android 8.0 using Magisk, since then a few more versions of the official Samsung ROM have been released. I wouldn't mind updating my ROM to get the security updates and bug fixes but I don't wanna lose my root.
How can I accomplish this?
Thanks!
Download the ROM from sammobile.com (or any other site) and flash it in Odin. Then flash TWRP and install Magisk again.
Just read through some guides

update phone with LRTeam and root

hello. i remember when i had a huawei p9 lite that when i have a oryginal rom with twrp and root so when there was an update i had to go back to stock recovery, because twrp did not allow the upgrade. Now I have RN8P and bootloader unlocked, installed Indonesia ROM 12.0.3.0, LRTeam and root. One day I got a notification that there is an Indonesia ROM 12.0.4.0 update so when I want to update my RN8P I should go back to stock recovery do the update but I will lose root so I will have to reinstall LRTeam and then install root?

Accidentally updated to Android 12 (OTA). Root?

My friend's phone was previously rooted with android 11 and now she updated her phone to 12 with an OTA update.
Is it possible to re-root her phone without wiping it?
I have It on Android 12. Just flash magisk canary.
