Anyone knows how to disable noise cancellation in Realme 6 Pro? Kindly share. - Realme 6 Pro Questions & Answers

Never came upon such disgusting quality of audio in recorded videos, as in my new Realme 6 pro. Not Pro at all! Can someone help me to remove noise cancellation during video-recording?! (And, it seems, a volume of recorded sound needs to be increased too).

But I have RMX2061, not ..2063. What must I do?
Update: today found out that problem is solved by using Open Camera app, which allows to record unprocessed audio.
(Actually, I needed to switch off noise cancellation only during video-recording, not for calls).

Any call recording solutions for Android P / Pixel 2?

I've been using 'Call Recorder' by skvalex for many years across many devices but it seems like it's no longer working since Pie. Tried a couple others and they're also only recording my side of the conversation only.
Is there anything out there working on non-rooted P?
auto call recorder works perfect. I think call recorder from skvalex works also.
It does not work on Android P.
[KB] Android 9 (P) Call recording issues.
There is no way to record interlocutor's audio properly at the moment. You can use Loud speaker to record both side. All call recording apps will be same., This is not limitation of ACR but Android 9 and the phone.

Thanks, that's what I was afraid of.
I hate losing functionality in an update.

I'm using 'Call Recorder' by skvalex on Pie and it works perfectly with root. I don't know if it will work without root though. If you are rooted I will give you what settings that I'm using.

Can you detail what settings your'e using? Because even skvalex himself mentioned Android P doesn't record the other party, only yourself.

I don't know if it makes any difference but I'm rooted with magisk version 16.7-1674. That build can be found in the Flash kernel thread. I'm also using Flash kernel 3.0. Everything else is stock. Call recorder 3.0 with root add-on 2.03-1.
Audio source: Caf
Format: Flac
Everything else is basically default. I attached a few screenshots. Here is a link to a recording with me talking to an answering machine I just uploaded to Google drivehttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1eDqtDJzMaZi05l7CdY1fUy8teXm8U4LC/view?usp=drivesdk.
You can hear me talking over it saying hello several times. All my recordings are perfectly clear on both sides.

Doesn't work for me. Same problem as all the other apps, can only hear my side.
"phone recording audio source - voice communication" works for me
Works
ACR on Pie is working fine on my 2 XL, records both sides nice and clear.
Audio Source - Voice_Communication
Recording Format - MP3
Audio Gain - 8DB

This is recording from phone earpiece speaker with gain. All apps can do that. It is not real call recording

I'm simply telling you my phone model, which app I installed and the settings I used.
It recorded both sides of the call, nice and clear, I am able to hear the entire call.
what part of that is not real call recording?

I think you misunderstood me. It might be acceptable for you or someone else. However,cCall is recorded from the earpiece speaker, gain applied. Real call recording is done by getting audio form Android system not from speaker. Hence, it is not real call recording.
Works perfectly on Pie with Pixel 2 XL rooted!

Is internal audio/system sounds recording possible?

I like to play games and want to record internal audio for games to post it on youtube but i am unable to find any app to record internal sounds and record screen at same time. In redmi 4(santoni) latest miui developer rom there is a option of recording system sounds in miui screen recorder and it works perfect but this option is not available in redmi note 5 pro stable / dev rom.
Can anyone make this option available in miui screen recorder for whyred?
RN5 doesn't have internal audio record support in default screen recorder. But Mobizen Screen Recorder support it, and surprisingly without the need to root. But still I don't really trust the app, so if you choose to use it, better restrict the mobile data/wifi access.

Are you sure about mobizen? Or it needs the external headphones from them? I think only samsung and lg support internal audio recording in mobizen. Hmmm

Very sure, no external device needed. At least it is recording the internal audio in RR 6.1. Play some music and cover the speaker, the volume stay the same in the recording result. RN4 actually has supported the internal audio recording by default. The feature disappear in RN5. Somehow Mobizen can do it without the need to root or disabling the SELinux.

Use the mobizen for Samsung it will record internal audio but the drawback is that you cannot hear the gameplay sound while playing it which is not suitable for games like PUBG

I am sorry, I can't reproduce the internal audio recording result anymore. Strange that last time I tried it, covering the speaker won't lower the volume. Now it does (so now it is mic recording). Probably when I test it before, I am still on RR the old build from July. The latest build from august probably patch it up. I don't know, but sorry I don't wanna to go back to previous RR build just to test this. As I am not using it. I am using the latest version of mobizen at the time I test it.

What ROM do you use? I only try it for a while, as I caught the app is running background all the time. Since I don't need it, uninstall is the best solution.

Mi 9 SE audio recording for extreme loud environments

I went to an electronic party last weekend so I could finally test the audio recording quality on extreme situations.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzfXQqgGZ1M
Turns out its really awful. Even my friend with a Motorola G5 have better audio quality. That is pretty disappointing for me, as I'm also a DJ and music producer so I make videos under this circunstances a lot. Also it impacts song-finder apps, as the quality is so bad that the app can't recognise the song.
Is there anything that can be done via software? Custom ROM or tweaks... Or is it a matter of the microphone (hardware) quality itself?
Btw I've already tried recording with the Open Camera App selecting the "unprocessed" audio source. Gets distorted same way.
Thanks in advance.
I confirm the existence of a similar problem for me and several people. How can this be fixed at least temporarily?
Thanks in advance.

Can't really call it a "problem" since it affects all Xiaomi phones. It's just a standard quality microphone paired with bad software otimization. I did some tests and the microphone is actually capable of capturing audio with less distortion under these conditions, the problem is the processing applied to the audio isn't optimized for these situations, making it distort.
Did you have the same issues using other kernels or roms? I confirm I've been getting similar issues also

Yea I tried every rom and kernel... all the same.
If it was only at shows... could live with it. But the audio distorts even at daily things like recording messages on whatsapp when inside a vehicle (I reported this on another thread). I get really frustrated.
Same here..I participate at the lot of Trance events and simply, audio is one big bulshitt. (like at 99% of Android phones). For loud events recordings, iPhones are still the best

Exactly... I always had android, then I swiched to an iphone 6s only because of the audio I knew was good... now I finally came back to android (cause I love the OS and its variety of functions compared to iOS) and unfortunately suffering again with poor audio recording. The few android I know can handle this are the top-end Samsung (S8, S9, S10). I heard about HTC also but never got to see or test it personally.
Altough I really can't understand why manufacturers don't take this audio thing more seriously, they leave this aside like no one cared about audio quality lol

Damn, I thought I was the only with this kind of concern and this is the reason I'm currently using an iPhone 6s as my second phone just for audio recording. In my case I like to listen and play metal music with my band in a rehearsal room, so I always used my phone to record my rehearsals to see my band's progress and some other things and the best phone with a good recorder was the Mi 8 Lite until someone robbed me.
Idk why Xiaomi don't take a look to this issue, I mean, I'm not saying they have to listen to heavy metal or something like that, just realize the many scenarios the people would use the recorder app or the camera, e.g. in concerts.

Most android manufacturers lose users to Apple just because of details like this, they don't realize how important this might be for some users. I mean, take for example artists on the music world... these are influent people... and 99% of them use iPhones because of things like the audio quality.
Anyway... this conversation can go really far.
Talking about the Mi 9 SE... mostly the cause of the the bad audio quality is bad software optimization. Xiaomi could get this a lot better with just some simple updates. I've tried modifying some microphone options, turns out it can actually record with less distortion (not really perfect but better). Still a bit of the guilt is on the microphone hardware itself... its kinda cheap.
try cameramx app, set audio source to external. it worked quite well at a muse concert.
the issue is the recording volume too high which affects also whatsapp vocal messages.
somebody solved it on rooted devices by installing root volume mixer pro, set the microphone gain to -3. this wasn't tested at loud events, only on whatsapp.

I've tried using Open Camera with audio source set to unprocessed. Didn't solve it for me, got a bit less distortion but still a lot (maybe bacause the sound was really extremely loud). Will try with "external" source.
I was trying to modify the mic gain directly on the system files, but I'm gonna try that volume mixer pro thing also. Ty.

Did it make it any better?
I have the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE , i love the phone, but yes the recording quality is terrible. i downloaded the Root volume control, but when im in the path files, i dont know what changes to make.....
What is the recording mic on the camera called in the files??.......what values am i looking for??......
How many changes to i need to make.......??
I don't know ir the problem is because harware or software, but this problem doesn't happen in all Xiaomi phones, because models like Mi 9T (Pro version also) or Mi 8 records the audio clearly, also, remember that an user said that the Mi 8 Lite has a good quality of audio recording (I don't know if the NORMAL Mi 9 (not SE) records well the audio). Probably the problem is from the hardware, because phones like a big part of Redmi or other Android has a low quality mic, so the sound recorded will be poor, this problem also happens with other companies like OnePlus.
But if we want to talk in a general way, all the cellphones, including those made from Apple, ASUS, HTC or Samsung are going to lose quality in the record of concerts, very few phones like some LG are good recording specifically the audio from concerts.
I fixed a bit this problem just putting a finger up the microphone. At least it didnt clip af
Try another camera app like Cinema-FV5. I heard it improves.
Had this problem with every xiaomi I owned, only Mi 8 Lite didn't have it, so strange :\
hi, i had this problem on Redmi 3, on MI 9 SE its better, but still present. I installed CameraMX and set microphone to external and i think it helps a lot !

Questions to Realme 5 Pro owner : mic quality's better on 6 Pro

Hello, if you wanna record anything else than voice (ambiant sound, etc) on the 5 pro, you can forget it : it's just HORRIBLE. Somekine of filter is applied by system and can't be removed. I want to know if 6 Pro is same. It's one thing that would make me upgrade. Ideally, record sound of your street/hangout and upload to vocaroo. Would be SO GRATEFUL. Thank you.
Hello!
I have recorded pipe organ music with human chorus on a church that sounds beautiful, using the Recording program on the phone. It also records voice and music from pianos and other instruments, with not too much distortion. I am sure if you install a port of Google Record or any other recording program that let's you modify the gain in the micro you'll be able to record anything with good quality.
Cheers!

Realme 7 Pro Disable cam recording noise reduction.

Do not forget that there is a mod that increases the sound quality when recording with video.

Update. After recording some videos, I noticed that noise reduction continues to occur, just a little less. It's like it's less sensitive, but it's still present.
I regret buying this phone.
