Redmi Note 5 Global vs Redmi note 5 pro - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Questions & Answers

What's the basic difference between these two apart from band support.

The indian version uses Sony sensors (the sames from the Mi A2 and Redmi note 6 Pro)
The rear may actually be worse as the Sony sensor is smaller, but the front 20 MP (5, it's pixel binned) is better than the omnivision one
And even that doesn't matter much cuz you can buy the sensor replacements on AliExpress
That's it, hope i helped

I'm interested in switching to a better sensor for my Redmi Note 8T. Not happy with samsung sg1 sensor. Other version of the same phone have Sony sensors on board and some newer board versions a baetter samsung sensor, sg2.
Thanks.

I'm sorry, but there are no variations of the redmi note 8(or t), they all use the same sgm1 and the 13MP omnivision as the front sensor
Hardware mod on the redmi note 5 is only possible because all the variations use the same board, only with different sensors so they all use the same connectors and software
TLDR, this is not how it works :/

I disagree with you as I discussed with a user which have a Sony sensor and his board version is higher than mine, meaning it is newer. He sent me screenshots.

Redmi Note 4 will be the next flagship Xiaomi samples, metal frame and dual cameras

Dual cameras are becoming the trend design manufacturers smart phones and of course also no exception Xiaomi. More information for advanced phones that redmi upcoming Note 4 will have a metal frame and dual camera.
New images have been revealed also partly confirmed the authenticity of the information on, redmi Note 4 can be arranged 2 cameras with larger sensors in the longitudinal direction and LED flash in the middle, instead of horizontally like most camera phones now double.
Part designed as images, frames will be made of curved metal claws on each side at the back, volume up key phrases placed on the right side.
Of course can not be confirmed by leaked images have exactly the redmi Note 4 or not, but the probability is very high. Because if compared with previous redmi Note 3 both have similarities, only behind fingerprint sensor has been replaced by cameras. If accurate information, redmi Note 4 will have the home button integrated fingerprint sensor?

Which camera sensor part?

To my knowledge, this phone uses a Samsung ISOCELL sensor with 1.34um pixels, at 13MP, but I haven't been able to find the specific part number. Anyone with this phone can help me find this? Thanks!
Try using AIDA64, which is the easiest way.
Though I also heard it was made by Samsung, there is a teardown here. You can clearly see O-FILM is printed on the flex cable. That's one of the noname brands inside Chinese phones, which do not have Sony or Samsung. Last time I encountered O-FILM was when I replaced an out-of-focus camera in Redmi 2.

In a review I've seen it was noted as Samsung s5k2m8
I check my ZUK Z2 with DevCheck, sensor size 5.19x3.67mm, Pixel sieze 1.18μm.
I guess that mean ZUK Z2 come with a different sensor to ZUK Z2 Pro
My Z2 Plus has a Samsung S5K2M8 rear and OmniVision's OV8865 front sensor.
S5K2M8 4208 x 3120
13MP 6.828mm
(1/2.6")
1.34 μm ISOCELL ZUK Z2 (Lenovo Z2 Plus)
I checked now with devcheck and i see 13 mpx camera with 1.18 qm pixel size which is different than advertised... Hmmm, chinese....
Ok i checked now with device info hw app
ov8865 front
s5k2m8sx back camera
So it is Samsung after all

Redmi 5 Plus (Note 5) vs Redmi Note 5 Pro - What to buy?

Apart from the dual cameras and the new 636 SoC, what else is there to upgrade to this from a RN5?
Lacks all the Mid-Range premium features like NFC, USB-Type C etc.
Obviously the Note 5 Pro!

Well I think I am gonna wait for Moto G6 Plus. It will surely have NFC and probably USB-C too. I am using Android Pay (G5 Plus) and although I don't need it, it would be annoying to go back.
If you're going for the Redmi Note 5, then go for the 3GB/32GB variant. And if you're going for the Redmi Note 5 Pro, then go for the 4GB/64GB. Both are worth are that price
Note 5 Pro
Redmi Note 5 Pro has many features that engaged you to buy it. It has a stunning 5.99-inches full-HD+ (1080x2160) display with stunning image quality. It's dual rear camera makes it more beautiful.
Pros:
Gorgeous Display
Great Camera Quality under daylight conditions
Excellent Battery Backup
No lag while multi-tasking and gaming
Fast and Accurate Face unlock
Cons:
No fast charging
Hybrid Sim Slot

What's the camera sensor used in Mi Max 3?

Is the camera sensor same as the one found in Redmi Note 5 Pro?
No... Its the one used in Note 5 AI
According to

it seems to be Samsung Sensors all around

Main Camera Specs - Looking for Real Information

Hello everyone,
I found in wiki (Wiki: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exmor) that both of Redmi Note 5 Pro and Mi 6x/A2 used sony IMX486 as rear main camera sensor. but both camera aperture looks different:
Redmi Note 5 Pro: 12 mp, aperture 2.2,
Mi 6x/A2: 12 mp, aperture 1.75
Can some body explain how this possible? or is there wrong information about camera sensor?
Thanks
