Any Razr 5G skins? - Motorola Razr 5G Accessories

I've been looking a good skin for the razr 5g. any luck out there?

Is there a way to add wireless charging to this device?
Whether it be an internal wireless receiver or external usb c receiver. Most external usb c receivers are at the minimum 3.9" tall which seems to be the issue.

What Are Your Preferred Accessories for Your Phone?

The second most important thing, (after the phone of course) when buying a phone, to me is accessories! I love 'em and they definitely influence my decision on which phone I'm gonna purchase. I made this thread for people who share a similar interest like me to their accessories. So, share your personal favorite accessory brands/items for your phones! This could also help out some unfortunate people having a hard time deciding between accessories.
Mine Are....
• Screen Protector
Brand- Steinheil: Their screen protectors are the best out their, although pricey ($13.99 for clear & olephobic, $16 for fine), they offer 3 options (oleophobic, ultra clear & ultra fine). My favorite is the ultra clear
• Cases
Brands- Case-Mate, Otterbox, Speck, Incipio
Of the 4, case-mate is probably the cheapest if you don't posses an iPhone. Their cases, to me, kinda imitate the others cases in a way but with their own twist. They have a lot of creative designs as well. I love all their silicone cases. Vroom series being my favorite. Otterbox is my favorite of the 4. They have the best protective cases out on the market (Their also is Trident. I hear Trident cases are good but they look bulky/ugly & i've never owned one). The defender is the most protective which is a hard polycarbonate outer shell which a silicone case wraps around. Then, you have Speck. I love their pixel skins which are really thick silicone cases with a checkerboard pattern engraved throughout the case. I also love their Candy shell's which are hard colorful glossy cases with a soft silicone layer on the inner part. Then there is Incipio, with their wild and thick, gaudy Dermashot cases which are all silicone. I prefer their extremely thin low profile Feather cases to case-mates Barely Their. I think their much higher quality and fit better.
Well, there you have it. Anyone else care to share?
I think Clarivue makes the best screen protectors

I have tried theirs, and they are really good. But, I think the Steinheil ones have a better texture and are a little more "not there" feeling.
All I got is a bodyglove case and a car charger. Thats all my local AT&T store has for now.

I'm using the Incipio Feather case (RadioShack) which I don't mind, but I would like to get an Otterbox Commuter. I only use anti-glare screen protectors which AT&T carries for the Atrix. I also use a Motorola external battery pack that I picked up at a Verizon store. Also, Verizon carries a Droid X Extended Battery (Motorola BH6X) which just happens to be the same one that the Atrix uses, so I have a spare battery as well.

Really? The extended Droid X battery works on the Atrix? I've been looking for a spare battery all over but couldn't find one.

Yeah, just google "Droid X Extended Battery" or "Motorola BH6X" and you should find it cheaper online. Just make sure it is the BH6X model number.
If you do get it from Verizon, it will be the one that comes with an extra back plate for the Droid X.

It's the same, exact battery. Same model number and size (1880/1930mAh)
I just bought the Otterbox Impact for my Atrix.
It's the first case I've ever bought for a phone. I wanted something that would protect it in case the phone slipped out of my hand. It came with a screen protector and I'm not too critical about the quality of those since I haven't used it for that long, so it's fine for now.

Spigen Neo Hybrid - Warning!

The Neo Hybrid does not allow use of most micro USB cables. The height of the rubber grip is too great to fit in the opening. Of 5 existing cables and car cords, none are useable. The only cable I have that works is the one that game with the phone. I think I will return the case. Never had an issue with Seido and I think I will wait for the Seido Dilex (Active) with holster that they told me today will be out at months end.

Any pic of it?
the others say that the USB cable works well
My USB cable fits just fine with my previous chargers. My previous chargers being older phone chargers including Galaxy Nexus, N4 charger.
Stop using non-genuine chargers :/
This is an issue with most cases, when buying usb cables I always look for ones that have a similar sized micro usb end.
The height of the usb hole is about 7mm so if your usb plug is smaller than that, you should be good.
Do not have any trouble with any chargers I have
I also do not have any issues with any of my usb cables.
Mine is also going back for exact same reasons.
Same issue. Returning mine to Amazon.ca
all my chargers work just fine. all major brands no cheap ones.
my gripe with this case is that it makes the phone feel bulky, wide, and taller then it is supposed to be. holding it feels like a galaxy note or something. i need to find a thinner case that still provides a bit of protection. the search continues

What other cases are you looking at? I really like this case but yeah it can be pretty difficult to hold with one hand. I can do it but can't reach all places of the screen.
I was thinking about the Spigen Ultra Hybrid, maybe.

Guess Motorola and HTC OEM's are cheap ones... my bad.
Maybe try TPU cases from Diztronic or Caseology? They're not fingerprint magnets, and they seem to hold up really well in drop tests (one I saw showed no damage to the phone with a pretty extensive number of drops)

I've never seen any of those chargers so I wouldn't know but I've tried 2 Samsung OEM and 2 LG OEM chargers and they work fine. The Nexus 4 USB cable was pretty thick too on the port and fit fine.
Mine all work, they are just a tight squeeze except for the one that came with the phone. Neo Hybrid here.

My LG nexus chargers works fine, from Gnex, Nexus4 and Nexus5. Plus my girlfriends Samsungs works fine too. oh and even my HTC incredible one works too.
I have not problem with the case or the USB except the 3.5 audio jack the cut out is ridiculously small not all of your headphones will fit just keep that in mind. otherwise, it feels really premium.

What would you buy for your Nexus?

If you already had a qi Charger (or 2) a Spigen case, tempered glass protector, what else would you buy for your beloved N5?

how are those earphones? I just ordered mine, I've heard some really good reviews about them.
I'm very satisfied. They look great, sound even better and work flawlessly with my Nexus 5 with all buttons and mic working just like they should. I've bought a lot of stuff for my phone but for me Pistons are one of the best buys ever.
The only downside is that while buying you have to beware of fakes, since the market is flooded with them.

Agreed and agreed. Love mine. Work perfect with the n5.
Buy from ibuygou or penonaudio. Both sell 100% real ones.
I have gotten for my N5: A S-Line case, retractable earphones, a dedicated MicroUSB (and USB-A) 2amp car charger (it shows as "Fast Charge" on the lock screen and Ampere reports 1300mA to about 1580 or so mA), SlimPort adapter (not for Maru OS, i'm not even rooted!) and some other things.
I would get a : a dock, a Qi charger (FoneSalesman' QiStone+ is being eyed by me), A SECOND BLACK 32GB NEXUS 5 (Daniel 5 the red N5 and Daniel 5-2, the black N5, maybe?), BlueTooth headphone adapter, etc.
I got mad catz cntlr for gaming..now planning for it controller !!

In my experience, a Diztronic case to replace the Spigen.
Diztronic? Really? The last one I bought, didn't impress me.
My answer. A DODOcase Durables case. They put the HTC One (M7) case on sale this week, and the M7 almost perfectly matches the Nexus 5's dimensions. I can wait to start carrying it in it. (I have Durables for my Nexus 4, and just got one for my iPod Touch 5gen. they're gorgeous, particularly when you get them for < US$50. Alas, the HTC One cases sold out in a day.)
I also ordered an LG QuickCover folio from Expansys. I always like having a full, book-style case for my phones. And this case is high speed. Light, thin, fits like a glove (better actually), and has a thin plate with magnets to ensure positioning on a Nexus 2013 wireless charger. Superb.

cases for OnePlus 8

Has anyone tried any of the cases for the OnePlus 8?
LewLater Case on pre-order. It's not the cheapest case especially factoring in the shipping cost but I prefer to have a barely-there, slim case.
Wow that's quite expensive
I bought one from LaterCase which is yet to arrive
I have the Cyan sandstone protective case and the nylon bumper with the pop-up box.
I love the nylon bumper
I've ordered a couple of cases from Amazon, one is a matte transparent case w/black TPU side bumper:
OnePlus 8 Case [Frosting Transparent Back] Ultra-Thin Soft TPU [Shock Absorption] Slim Fit Lightweight Shockproof Armor Cover Hybrid Protective Case Compatible with Oneplus 8 (Black, 1+8) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087CW225G/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_6WjUEbE6JCY8G
This is the one I'm actually after, a matte transparent Frameless Case (arrival estimate 2+ months from now, so, I ordered the one above in the meantime) :
OnePlus 8 Frameless Case, EabHulie Slim Translucent Hard Back Matte Skin Soft TPU Bumper Corners Shockproof Case Cover for OnePlus 8 Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0881W9VBG/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_1ZjUEbZX8D19V
I used the same Frameless Case on the OnePlus 7T Pro (fits the OnePlus 7 Pro as well) & it performed well for what I was wanting, minimal coverage & preventing accidental edge touches. It actually did that a bit too well on the sides, but, I adjusted to it, better than the alternative of a bulky case or, going sans case.
As the edge contours seem to be less dramatic vs the OP7 Pro / OP7T Pro, hoping they nailed it on the side coverage/touch sensitivity sweet spot.
I've done a review of 3 flip cases - see the other post in this forum
I highly recommend the Tudia Merge. It's a dual layer case - TPU and Plastic. Fits really well, buttons still feel good. I've used the Merge cases for my past several OnePlus phones, and all have been great.

Anyone know where to buy the original sandstone case from other than 1+ direct with silly postage fees
Just picked up this case from T-Mobile US, from their budget conscious brand GoTo:
https://www.t-mobile.com/accessory/goto-define-case-for-oneplus-8-5g
My 2¢/ Pros & Cons.
Pro:
1) Availability, shouldn't be too difficult to find a T-Mobile store that has it in stock, especially with the phone still being relatively new.
2) Fit is excellent, cutouts are precise. The camera cutout extends well below the flash, not a deal breaker, but, I think they should have opted for a more precise cutout for the lenses & a separate hole for the flash. Perhaps this was a cost-cutting measure.....
3) Feel in hand is acceptable, neither the slimmest or bulkiest case I've used.
For feel in hand perspective, if you've used a RhinoShield Crash Guard bumper, this case is slimmer in the grip,a lot more comfortable vs the Crash Guard bumper.
Cons:
1) Price isn't insane, but, I do feel it's a bit much @ $19.99. Sure, it's about 1/2 the price of other cases sold by T-Mobile, but, as everyone here is painfully aware, carrier accessories are grossly overpriced,
So yeah, this case is overpriced vs Amazon/AliExpress/eBay & in a lot of instances, buying direct from the mfg w/a discount code.
2) The volume/notification slider cut-out, while precise,is a bit cramped for one-handed use. Not a biggie for me, I rarely use it, but, for those where this is a priority, perhaps this case is not for you.
Fortunately, the box for the case (at least mine) was not sealed, so, if buying from a brick & mortar store, you should be able to try it out before buying
Misc:
The design of the backside is a bit weird in the looks department, reminiscent of poor 'ol HTC's earlier efforts in the "big chin" look on the front of their phones.
To me, it's not a big deal, but, if I were choosing in-store w/a comparably priced/designed case w/o the "chin'", I'd opt for the other case.
Ditto on the branding of the "GoTo" logo. It's actually not that noticeable, but, again, same scenario just mentioned, I'd opt for the competition.
FWIW, I loathe cases w/branding, as most go overboard w/it, I prefer minimal/unbranded cases, typically one color/material when possible, less is more for my usage.
Would I recommend it?
Sure, it strikes a good balance of form/function (less the slider cutout). If you need a case ASAP for the unlocked or T-Mobile version, it's a worthwhile case.
However, if you don't mind waiting for mail order from wherever you shop online, you could probably find a case that fits your needs at a better price.
I ordered the transparent TPU & carbon fiber cases from OnePlus when I ordered my OP8. Both are way too slippery. Ordered a Rinke Fusion X on Amazon, and I like it much better.
Pros:
- Very grippy!
- Good side & corner protection
- Transparent back shows off phone color nicely
Cons:
- Raised plastic "button guards" make finding buttons by feel a touch difficult
- Minimal front protection
Overall rating: 4.5 Stars

verizon cases
Any generic cases that'll fit the verizon version, or are verizon users stuck with the ones on their website? I'd read somewhere that "some" generic cases "might" fit the verizon phone, but can't find any more info. Thanks.
Unfortunately I can't answer the question about the case, but I do have a related question.. What is different about the Verizon version of the OnePlus 8, vs like the T-mobile, or unlocked version.
I'm looking for cases myself, but I have the one from T-mobile. And when searching amazon, I've seen some listed as "Verizon Only" ..

Don't know how you did that...all the ones I find say "Not for Verizon". The difference, as I understand it, is verizon's 5g hardware is bigger / located in a different location, which caused some buttons to be moved. So for most case designs, verizon phones won't work, but all other 8's (not pro) will...the exception would be a few that have cutouts that can accomodate either configuration...but info on which those are is sparse.

I bought this case super finish and affordable. Its the nylon version from Nilkin.
Super slim and grippy case suggestions?
I am looking for a slim/minimalistic case.
Is Official Sandstone case grippier than the Nylon case?
I have the nylon and I like it but with the added size of the case it's harder to grip. I'm thinking about getting the Sandstone case but not sure if it would help any with phone slipping out of my hand.
Ideally I would like a slimmer case with better grip and lip to protect screen and ideally camera.
Thanks all!

Question Wireless charging cases

Is there a comprehensive list of cases which actually support wireless charging?
I get similar issues with the Fold3. Most cases have that lip to help protect the camera, which just barely messes with the charging pad and causes no charging.
Any recommendations for a case for the fold4 that doesn't have a flip cover, which also fully supports the wireless charging?
Not a deal breaker, but I have previously invested in the OhSnap system (similar to magsafe) and works beautifully with my Note20) would love to continue using that.
I bought this case and while it does work great with wireless charging I'm very unhappy with it. Cost a lot of money and it doesn't seem very good at protecting the phone and has nothing over the hinge.
https://www.amazon.com/TORRAS-Shockproof-Military-Translucent-Protective/dp/B0B5CZYR4F/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1DRKVKSI0B81U&keywords=TORRAS+Shockproof+Galaxy+Z+Fold+4&qid=1674073023&sprefix=torras+shockproof+galaxy+z+fold+4%2Caps%2C215&sr=8-3&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.006c50ae-5d4c-4777-9bc0-4513d670b6bc
..I just ordered this one (which is what I had for my Fold 3) that is even more expensive and it should arrive tomorrow evening. I had one for my fold 3 and it didn't really work well with the wireless charging, but I am willing to deal with that to protect the phone. Once I get it I will report back and let you know how well it works wireless charging.
