I upgraded to the latest stable 8.1 and rooted tbe devkcd again however I have lost my ambient lock screen notifications... I can get the ambient clock but I would like to have my notifications flash up. Has anyone else lost this?
Any advice or help?
This started when I updated to the official Android 10, been on the beta since the start. Haven't had any problem with notifications while on the beta. When the screen is on, I'll hear notifications like normal, but as soon as the screen goes off, no sound will play. It's only for notifications too, the phone will ring if I get a call and music will continue playing. I've checked DND settings and don't see anything that would indicate it's being turned on automatically.
Discovered what was causing it. Fit Notifications by Smart Dinosaurs Entertainment broke once Android 10 1.0 released. App hasn't been updated since last year, but it was working perfectly on the beta.
Do you have notifications / messages on the AOD on the Nubia Redmagic 5G?
I have no notifications / Messages only sound.

Same story with mine. Coming from Samsung S9+, AOD of NRM5G is the biggest let down for me. No notification, no auto brightness, no auto turn-off when phone is in pocket and it is limited to few minutes.
Sorry for bringing this thread back but has anyone ever found a solution to this issue? I just switched to RM5S and this is one of the issues I noticed, the issue doesnt exist if you only have it on lockscreen and not on AOD. I tried this by turning off AOD but if you have it on then you wont see any notification icon while it's AOD.
My build is NX659J_ENcommon_v8.07

Hello, I have the impression that the notification functions on the side of the screen stopped working after the update. The screen frequency can no longer be changed and now no notifications

Hello guys, after the last update I have a problem. At the slightest move of the phone the display turns on and it is very irritating, also as soon as I lock it with the power button and the display turns on immediately.

You have active the option "Move/Raise phone to wake up screen" in Gestures ?
Or AOD?
I have 1+9P A12 and have disabled "Raise to wake" in Gestures. Everytime phone moves or "table bumps", the phone wakes. I cannot find how to disabled that - I wonder that it is not possible yet!?
You have to disable Always-On Display in settings>Personalizations
