My Mi 10T lite came with the "classical" and "limitless" themes pre-installed. When I try to switch to other themes, I almost alwasy get the error "this design is not compatible with your version of MIUI". The only compatible themes I found so far are
Minimal iOS
Pink Blue
Sand
What would not work if I install themes for earlier versions of MIUI? Is there a filter or other way to find only themes which are compatible with this phone?
Maybe you could also share which other themes are working and which ones do you like?

I know MiUi has theme issues, but i was just curious is anyone found any of the themes that would theme the dialer OR the sms and actually apply it.
post them here if you found ones that work. i have not found one yet that themes either one.
Afaik, its still a bug in the current build of MIUI for our S3. Im also searching and failed to find any. Though, i can be wrong.

If you want dialer and contacts from MIUI, use EX-DIALER (free) from G playstore... I use it daily - no problems 4 now. As far miui 4 SMS... can't help... Best
Well, that's the question. I'm gathering some credits trough Google Rewards and i'm pretty interested in buying the Substratum extension made for Android Oreo. But first i want to know if someone has tried the app in this phone to avoid some useless purchase. Something that i miss from my old Moto X Style is the customization. I could root this thing to do it without any plugin but so far i'm not interested in rooting and all that.

I didn't find any replacements..
I think if You dont wanna root Your phone You should buy Andromeda rootless backend - support devs, because it works.
I'm currenly using the Andromeda... It does work but with some errors n doesn't work well with all themes...

I have been using it on 0.8 Verizon edition with no probs, sais oreo theme is a pretty good dark theme.
I am using it. Everything was working until the most recent security update for oreo. Although it may have been me updating my theme, which i did after the security update.
I can't stand all the ads on this phone. Ugh.
I use it with stock Oreo 8.0.0. No issues.
Black theme (forgot the name but it is the most popular one) is nice for the notification bar and settings menu.

Its working fine, I'm experiencing no lags.
Black looks beautiful and being AMOLED saves battery also.
Notification issue
The Default Dark Theme works except for some notifications that keep having dark text on dark background (see first notification on the attached image). Is there any way to fix that? My device is not rooted.

I am currently using a pitch black theme that is called Sai's Oreo Theme: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=baka.sai.oreo&hl=en
I`ve been using Default Dark from F-Droid. Basically switches the Phones/Contacts/Settings/QSettings etc to dark.
The app has one annoyance to it cause you got to connect the phone to the pc if you want to use substratum.
The good stuff is that applied theme survives reboot, so it`s not so bad in the end.
I made this theme because I wasn't happy with the ones available.
This is my first theme so it's not really perfect. I wanted to make it all dark but there are some text colors that I can't change (at least not on the editor) so I had to mix in some grays.
Please note that not all apps are affected by themeing and some might look a bit weird.
If you want to make some suggestions please feel free to do so
Just download from the attachments and install.
Tested on a Xperia Z5 Compact with Stock Nougat 7.0. It might work equally well on other versions of Android and devices.

I recently upgraded my mi 10t to Android 11 via OTA. When I receive messages through WhatsApp, the notifications pop up with two different styles (MIUI or Android). By default, I have Android-style selected.
Also, the text in the MIUI style is not aligned properly. Please look at the pictures.
What can I do to fix?

You can either wait for xiaomi to fix its own mess they created by pushing unfinished and unpolished roms, or switch to some of the custom roms. There's plenty around to choose...

Fluid is currently one of the most stable roms and with active development, pixel experience will be there really soon, evox will be updated probably in the next couple of hours... Every rom has its things that set it out of the crowd, so it's up to you to choose one that suits you most...
Fyi, you can find way more roms on telegram. Why they don't post them on xda is beyond me...

I'm rooted and tried Flux, swift, and many other substratum themes but they don't work on this android 13 thing.

Flux has Android 13 support so not sure why it's not working for you. So do Liv Dark, Iris and Iris Monet, amongst others. Also, you should be using Substratum Lite rather than Substratum, if you aren't.

A search on XDA produced hundreds of pages, but I am unable to tell which apply to me, and the Substratum hub is all about Oreo and older.
This would be my first venture into themes and I would like to learn more.

Here is the Substratum Lite app.
There are several themes you can use on A13, as mentioned above. Search Play Store for themes such as Liv Dark, Flux, Iris, Iris Monet, etc.. For others you will have to search on Telegram.
You can use AOSP mod. This is the way !
