So first of all i never really installed a custom ROM so i'm a noob when it comes to these stuff.I was wondering if anyone can tell me which custom rom would be the best for Redmi Note 9 Pro? And how better would it be installing a custom rom vs leaving the phone in stock.I tried searching but there are a couple and i'm not sure what should i do. A link yo a guide would be pretty useful for installation and tips for the best Global Rom.I'm in Europe, currently on MIUI 12.0.1 Global, Android 10.

The first question is kinda tough... Since I've been searching for the most suitable rom for me, I can't really recommend anything since I believe we have different needs and different appreciation of what a "perfect" rom is... But I guess you need to find one rom that you're most interested in, whether you're interested in the features or the stability, just start somewhere
For me personally I started with the evolution x custom rom, cause it has the features and customization I need and the focus telegram support group. And to my surprise the rom got a great battery backup, better than stock rom.
And for the second question. Having a custom rom could improve the performance of your device, better ram management, better battery backup, and in some cases faster update than what the stock rom can offer (but again, depends on the developers, etc). The trade off is stability, you could find sometimes bugs that could annoy the hell out of you in custom roms that sometimes you can't find in stock rom.

Dude no custom roms are out. I don't find it disrespectful to request but come on. Let the devs actually get a beta Los rom, or something along that line, up and running before we start requesting this rom or that rom.

Will we ever get custom roms for our a50, all available roms are either crappy non working worst gsi's, and other's are samsung one ui with some tweak. Atleast i was expecting a stock android rom.
Don't make excuses if developers wanted they would've done it even I'm shocked newly launched some mediatek powered realme phones having bunch of stable roms but not this device.

Just stay with default One UI! These days performance and battery on stock roms are good, if not better than custom roms! Especially camera quality is the main reason to say stock.

There is one on YouTube miui 12.5.4 for A50 verients it smooth fast and stable comes with apps not sure about root check it out

I came to custom roms and rooting after my RN5 PRO
started to have poor battery and full of ads with miui 10.3.1 pie update...it has been 3.5 months and all these days I have been learning about custom roms and rooting and trying harder to improve my smartphone everyday.I got a lot of support from you guys - the developers and my fellow users.Today finally, I got the battery stats that I have always wanted and I'm finally happy.Thank you all!!
I'm now running MASIK F WHYRED custom rom since I don't want any further updates and Extended kernel EAS V3 along with the firmware 10.3.2.0 stable global (?)...(btw thank you xiaomi for this wonderful firmware).For those interested...here are my battery stats as of today(they're not complete since I could get through the day till evening with 50% remaining)

Btw guys...I had to choose miui based roms over aosp because of the poor internet connectivity of aosp roms...if anyone has a workaround for that,please help once again.
And just so you know,I didn't choose to install magisk since it itself consumes battery to install modules and update them and audio effects and all were already good in this rom with cam2api enabled...so I couldn't ask for more.

I did tried flashing phhusson’s AOSP 10 Quack Phh-Treble rom... and it did boot, but the phone crashed and rebooted right after I unlock the home screen ...

That's not true. I had a Samsung J7 Prime and have a lot of working roms. And i suposed that are many exynos devices which have custom roms. So, is posible. But is work for developers, if they want.
I have a question about this idea.
Xiaomi.eu team dropped support for the Redmi Note 8 Pro due to issues with bricking that can’t be easily recovered from.
But, we now have cfw antibrick system, does anyone know or by any chance have a way to make miui roma based on chinese weekly beta.
On GitHub we have Multilang project to compile inside rom.
Maybe some one know ingbrzy from xiaomi forum, asking him for tree and other advanced stuff which he adds to roms for other types of phones.
I know we have custom roms, but i like stock miui rom.
Any help is welcome, if necessary and someone knows the necessary things for making roma, and does not want to say publicly, he can call me at pm, to make it for myself even if I make a hard brick of my cell phone. :laugh:

i have same question , but the real question is , is it worth it? i mean we all left miui for same reason basic things are bad no nav bar ram management doesn't exist on miui stock compared to samsung m31 great stock one ui , and after all custom roms try to give you the pixel feeling which is imo better than any isheep phone out there , i hope if someone is able to do something like that , unofficial miui rom wouldn't be as reliable as official miui 12 and will take effort to port and get it customized for us.

If you see forum with relased miui 12 for not so small list of phones, and very big list of "ROMs features (Whats not in Global)", i think yes. It worth it.
It was the same rom for our model with all those extras, so if it continued, we would have a weekly update, but there were a lot of hard bricks so they gave up on further release.
That's why I asked, now we have a cfw antibrick system so we're safe.
I'm new to RN8P world, and don't have time to test all roms from this forum.
Actually i'm on stock MIUI 12.5.5, unlocked bootloader, but I heard this device bricks easily, so I don't have time to fix mistakes...
I need help and tips from you guys to choose the more stable AOSP rom for RN8P, I'm counting on you

I want to squeese more RAM and I don't like MIUI too much, I feel spyed...
Then i will suggest some from my experience:
- For customize: AncientOS and Nusantara are good for me
- For camera: If your phone is India one, LineageOS GSI from Timjosten is the best, based on Q-Oss and use Miui Cam with it feature (not ANX)
- For battery/perfomance: Try some custom kernels and find out with are the best for you
- For A11 with A12 exprerience: DotOs A11 is good
- For A12: not stable, but some can use at daily rom (AncientOS), some other A12 roms has some other bugs, Bluetooth issue.... And mostly screen recorder won't work by defauft, need to install other app or do something idk.
- And some other roms with their special you need to flash to find out.
- AOSP has some random bugs. And it's good for me doesn't mean it's good for you. Maybe just flash and find out with one suitable.
- If you dont know where to find these roms and their flash guide, you can try type Redmi note 8 pro Official or Update on Telegram. Idk why they drop many updates and new roms in XDA
