I picked up an unlocked US991 LG G4 for using on TMo, didn't realize it won't be same as TMOBILE version.
Is there a way to use TMOBILE WiFi calling on this phone? Can I root this and put a TMOBILE ROM instead?

I don't think so, because you cannot unlock the bootloader or install custom roms. And voLTE only works on t mobile roms. You can still use band 12 on t mobile, and use google hangouts to call.
You need a T-Mobile ROM (software) to use T-Mobile's WiFi calling and Voice over LTE. Don't flash a T-Mobile ROM on your US991 because you risk bricking the phone.
Thanks guys! My earlier US Cellular Moto E was able to get TMo ROM applied and was looking at that option.
Have explained to wife how to switch to Hangouts incase of low tmobile signal.

VoLTE is not supported by Marshmallow customized by LG though it is supported on the hardware (SoC).
For VoLTE to work in Jio SIM use JioJoin app from play store. This apps servers this calling purpose for the phones that do not support VoLTE.

Generally those are network/sim provisioned by your carrier. You do not do anything, the carrier has to enable those features for your handset on their side. Often these features are IMEI locked so if you had them on an old phone you'll need tech support to update your IMEI as well.

It really is strange. So I received my black unlocked Sprint LG G8 and on this one I have the Sprint boot screen, but I have the Volte enable option. Doesn't make any sense to me.
Hello, could anyone please give a method to enable VoLTE on the G7TM? Mine has stopped working on my AT&T MVNO carrier and I want to keep using it! It seems to be hidden in the menus. I tried going into the universal enabler in the service menu but it didn't give the VoLTE option in the settings, the youtube video I was following was showing a standard OS G7 I believe and not a T-Mobile variant. Thanks for any help,
