Hi all
Just wondering would you be able lead me to solve the problem. Have above router, starts communication with phone over wifi, can log into webui but unfortunately cant login with pass: admin:admin, tried reset it by holding button in pinhole for about 20sec without luck looks like it. Seems like password is set and cannot be reset with reset button. Tried upgrade software but unsure that was successful either as looks nothing has heen changed. Any idea how to pass this authorization problem?

I changed my password after upgrading to an alpha numeric.
the last digit in my password is 1
however, the keyboard wont let be type the number 1 in the password field.
It let me type it when I set the password, but now it won't, and I am completely locked out of my phone. can't sync, battery removal fails....
does anybody have any ideas? I really need my phone...
no numbers will work at all in the unlock field. now it says "several incorrect pw's have been used, enter a1b2c3 to continue... would a hard reset work?

for those of you that run into the same issue... DO NOT reset your phone.
on the unlock screen, you have to press alt then the number, rather than holding the key down and waiting for the number to appear.

Dang. That would SUCK if your alt button didn't work! I hate to hard reset unless absitively posolutely necessary...
I ran into a similar problem. I entered a numeric password but unfortunately I forgot the password! I've tried several different number but cannot seem to figure it out! Is there any way I can reset my phone so that I could bypass the password?
Ive got a genuine 3 UK (unbranded) desire and been using it for over a year.
Recently they released a small software update (2.29.405.5). I couldn't install this as not enough space so i thought id do a factory reset to get space, clean up and go from scratch.
Not a problem except after that reset my WiFi has stopped working completely.
It turns on, it shows as on, it scans and it shows WLANs around. However no matter what lan you select the second you enter a key without even trying to connect it says "Unable to connect to the network".
If i try to manually add a network i get "Unable to save the network".
It doesnt even seem to attempt to connect, just errors immediately. It's not a key issue as entering any key either correct or incorrect immediately produces the above error.
After a factory reset failed to get it working i rooted the phone to delete/edit the wpa_supplicant.conf file. This didn't solve the problem.
As a last resort i downloaded the latest RUU, flashed but again this hasn't fixed the problem.
So, does anyone know whats broken or how i can fix this or is it a return on the phone?
Everything else would appear to work perfectly but it just refuses to save any details of wlans or connect to them. It all worked fine before a factory reset!
So our Moto Z2 play, app search bar crashed, and the phone was rebooted. The fingerprint scans, and asks for a password, we know the password, but after touching the entry field, no keyboard is displayed. I'm at a loss, because the phone is only 5 days old, and this all happened 30 minutes ago...Any suggestions or help is appreciated.
edit: I've tried rebooting into safe mode, and the same problem exists (i.e. no keyboard displayed when attempting to enter the password to unlock the device)
Solution: Factory reset from recovery.

After a factory reset I now get the Google "This device was reset" screen prompting me to enter credentials of a user that was previously logged on. This phone has been in use by both myself and my wife for 2 years now. I've tried using both her email to log on and mine but after a few seconds it just goes back to the same screen. I know my password is correct because I get the 2 factor authentication prompt on my main phone and an email saying I logged in from a new device. But still, nothing happens on the GX8.
I tried some of the tricks I found to bypass FRP but they all use the same trick of downloading an apk from chrome and then clicking on "open" at the bottom. mine downloads the file just fine but there is never a prompt at the bottom to open it so I can't run any APK.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is probably a very stupid question.
My Gemini PDA is Czech keyboard layout and 4G+WiFi type.
Unfortunately, due to my prolonged absence due to illness, I can't remember the password that will get me into the system.
I tried different variants, but without success. And now the message appeared on the display that in another 9 attempts the device
will be blocked. I really don't know how to get it up and running.
I would like to ask you for help on how to proceed in this case? How to perform a hardware reset to boot device without any password (=factory reset but not from the menu)?
Pressing the Esc-on key for about 18 to 20 seconds does not help. The device still requires a password.
I did not find a solution anywhere.
