why so late for the oneplus 7T?
for god's sake!

I'm on 10.0.16HD65AA with Magisk 21.4. Is it save to upgrade to Android 11 and install Magisk 22 to the inactive slot prior to rebooting, as always?

i've read comments on onplus forum and i'll wait...

There are some posts on the 1+ Community that the camera issues are only in the 7T.
7T Pro users are reporting no camera issues.

I don't recommend this but I unpacked and flash-all'd OB4's payload.bin then downloaded stable EU 11 from Oxygen Updater, unpacked it, and flashed system alone. Running fine but I'll def redo when Stable US comes out

so far its smooth but some apps are crashing for me like amazon, although i dont use it that much too. battery drain is also noticeable but its the first cycle with this rom so i will take a look again i a few days.
*edit: apparently the crashing was caused by android system webview update, so the only downside for me is the batttery drain

I don't have any of these problems:
No battery overheating
No system UI lags
Camera portrait mode is working
Camera doesn't crash
Battery life seems to have improved. But it's too early to really judge this
I'm coming from the last OOS 10 stable release.

Few apps using Android webview do crash though, needs Bromite webview

Adreno 540 gpu update boost gaming significant

ALL CREDIT GOES TO THEM I JUST SHARING WHAT I FOUND.
I don't know is this the place I share is correct if not please move this to the correct thread.
I have tested it on my lg v30 I believe is compatible with all model. I even tested in all aosp ROM and los ROM and even stock base ROM it works fine.
Please give the credit to them.

Follow their instruction on how to check and download the correct folder which is Oreo 8.0 latest update which is 3.1.3 rev15.
Well, that's something :good:
I wonder how the throttling behavior or consistent performance is over time with that driver and if it changes anything
So we use 540? Also, noticed it says Oreo but has support for treble...hmm...now I'm curious if it will work with Pie.
Edit: Scratch that, their is a Pie treble section !!
Flashed this on H930DS, working great so far
Nice ty. Totally forgot build.prop tweaks existed. Added those from that thread and a whole bunch of others. Smooooothhhh

Dear zac maybe u can try to implement into your kernel.
Because for now only stock kernel be able to boot. I can't boot using your kernel.
I read that with msm adreno boost it improve everything.
Mayben u can trynto take a look.
And also u can use any kernel for your future development.
Here the link
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2670512
I read it make a lot easier
Edit : able to boot using lunar kernel
It does work... I use this, project sky (don't know if it can be found on xda) and ATK op5 1.1 and it works wonders!!! Super fast and smooth.

I have updated the driver but after that i have faced 5 random reboots mostly when i use youtube vanced version and one time while opening pubg.

That happened on the first day itself and after that day no more random reboots. But i didnt see any improvement while playing PUBG, though there is significant increase in the Antutu benchmark score.
I think the improvement part while gaming is more of a placebo effect.

Can you explain what these things mean if you share them with us? Not everyone knows. Thx.
How well does video recording work? Face unlock? How does it affect battery life?
Which zip did you flash? Treble, non-treble? vendor-vendor? Help people out.
I'm not a fan of kernel tweaks. I used to believe in them, but after doing a lot of research, LG developers have really optimized the hell out of the OS and one optimization depends on the other. With Oreo update and the tweaks that used to work well for me in the past just make things slow down or glitch now so I'm skeptical. I will continue reading through that thread to see if there are actual benefits in the real world.
Update: Flashed it. The 540 version non-treble
-In TWRP there is no feedback if it has been flashed. It just says finished. There is no way to double check.
-Wiped Cache and Dalvik
-Camera and video recording 60fps works
-Gaming works, but I get strange microstutter, no difference in fps
-UI works same microstutter
I think it's placebo.

which rom are you using now? TQ
US998 Oreo. Already super smooth.
Update: After more testing and real gaming benchmarks here is my current conclusion:
-This is safe to flash on LG V30. I see no bugs
-Microstutter goes away after another reboot
-Performance for most things is the same BUT there are some games where the performance gains are significant (10-20 fps)
LG will most likely have the updated GPU drivers in the Pie update anyway so either download this or wait until you get Pie.
Newest version is ridic smooth.

Benchmarks show an increase in performance but I have also run into random hiccup freezes. But they are rare. rev23 is by far the most stable. rev22 is unstable!
Update: Yeah, forget it. None of the revisions are stable from my testing. Scrolling and messing around with the camera causes the device to force reboot. I went back to the original drivers and no issues. I also don't notice any performance improvements over the original drivers.

Best Android 10 ROM ?

Looking for the best Android 10 Rom in terms of stablity, performance, features and battery?
I' currently on Android 9 based Msm xtended so features like scrolling screenshot and internal audio (for screen recording) woud be huge plus as well.

The only bug the current version have for me is the dark theme resets back to normal on reboot, but that's nothing major and probably will be fixed on the next update
It does have scrolling screen shots
I didn't test the internal audio recording so i can't say
The default kernel is good, but i use mad kernel with it , and its great, and the dev has no issue with people using that kernel specifically
The one thing i have to mention that it comes with gapps already installed , but its minimal, for me its good this way...and magisk latest works fine with it and playstore certified, and it supports encryption
I do recommend a complete clean flash for the 1st install to avoid any issues

Question [Solved] Facing so much UI lags on Stock MIUI!

Have you guys ever experienced any lags in the UI?
Especially when I'm unlocking my phone, opening notifications shade or going to the recent apps screen (with gestures), it's like I'm using a very old device with a 1 GB RAM and It's driving me crazy!
I used to set up work profile using Shelter, turned off MIUI Optimisation (to have the REAL always-on display) and was using super wallpapers somehow and I thought it makes my phone slow.
Today I did a factory reset, and guess what, nothing was changed!
Even at the very first step which I didn't even install any applications, lags are clearly visible.
I'm using the stock ROM and never tried to unlock the bootloader or flashing custom recovery.
Please help me. I've tried any possible solutions including factory reset.
I even compared this device with a Mi Note 8 in the same condition and the Note 8 had a better performance. Or maybe these lags are normal on this device!
Do you have any idea?
Thanks.

On latest build(global rom) right. But it only happen when the battery level is below 60%. I noticed it and moved to custom rom because of it. Install cpu frequency monitoring app like devcheck, the big cores are turned off(hotplugged), that's the cause of lags. Above 60% battery, everything is normal(no hotplug). I have no idea how to fix it, assuming that it's a bug.
Yeah, the UI after 12.5.5 update definitely lags, which is disappointing.

And also, do you know any app that can messure my device's performance and compare it with other's?

I use devcheck to see the cpu, not sure if there's any reliable benchmark app for ui. Currently using xperience project. Not much choices for our phone yet, so can't really suggest. The rom is stable enough for daily use, but camera is not perfect, need to use ported gcam for basic features (ultrawide cam etc).

I'm using PE for couple of weeks. It's very smooth and fast, good battery life. There is unexplained occasional freezes, which I suspect is somehow related to YoutubeVanced (because that's mostly what I'm using when phone freezes). Other than that, it was best decision to move to PE.

I'm not using camera that much, but both stock camera (which has very little functionality) and Gcam for Mi11 lite works.
Honestly, flashing PE android 12 has fixed most of the issues I had with this phone (framedrops, weird miui power saving that limits some apps to 60hz for some reason, overall smoothness and speed, weird auto brightness...). Its just a better experience for this phone in my opinion. MIUI is only decent on phones with high end chips and even then its kinda bad.
I realised that using Super Wallpapers on xiaomi.eu ROM causes lags and bugs.
Lags are gone after I set another wallpaper.
So ...
That's it.

Never used Super Wallpapers myself, I doubt that was it.
In my opinion this version of miui 13 is still not working perfectly. I mainly noticed several problems with the smoothness of the system that don't exist in Miui version 12.5. Yesterday I installed the PE12 version and I have no complaints, great battery and performance.

OxygenOS 12 [OB1] [Oneplus 8 Pro] - First Open Beta of Global OOS12

*Will update thread as rn im at work*
The first Open Beta for Global OOS has been release really quietly (no announcemment so far) but here is the link from where i download it:
https://oxygenos.oneplus.net/IN2025_11_C_OTA_1100_all_2fd4dc_10100001.zip
Been running the update since now about 6-7 hours, update from OOS11, same method as COS (download, put file on root and update from within 1+ update app). All apps and info stays the same. Its been running suuper stable, have tryied almost everything i can think. A little review:
-Notification are now working properly, everytime, even on AOD
-FP speed is insane (equal if not faster than OOS11)
-Lots of customizations but maintaining the OOS standards
-Battery drain equal or better than OOS11
-Banking apps working properly, even the FP auth ones
-Animations clearly faster and more smooth than OOS11
-Widevine L1
-No chinese bloatware (yeyy)
-True Amoled darkmode (Pitch Black)
-Vanced stuff working properly
Will keep the update and daily drive the thing, if someone need any info regarding how to update, or to "can you please check this...", im available to help

Has anyone maintained magisk like we've done on stock rooted Android 11 updates? Usually I roll back magisk images. Install the update, let it do it's thing, not reboot. Then reinstall magisk and reboot. Will this process still work?
I have a problem with Line app crash.
(Color OS 12 beta , H2OS 12 Beta and also OOS 12 Beta.)
Now only run Custom 12. Line is my main chat app.
Ive tried out the firmware. Its working amazingly. Also, my phone that never once had a 5G bar suddenly says 5G (I am on Verizon). I feel like the battery life might be a little bit worse, but I have been using it the whole time with max brightness over the last 4 hrs. I went from 90 to 59%.
The photochrom app for infrared that works on android 11 doesn't seem to work, I have yet to try it with adb. It seems that engineering mode (factory mode) is blocked.
All of my apps seem to be running very stable. Calls, plex, games, etc. No issues
My OnePlus Bud z2 sound way better.
Ill add to this if there are any changes.
Edit 1: I forgot to say that after the update it ran sluggish for about the first 2 minutes then resumed back to blazing fast. I also updated from OOS (android 11) Beta 12.
It was also incredibly easy to retain root. Just use the system update to install the update manually then install magisk on the other slot. Restart, retain root.
Forced 120hz stopped working.
"hacked" call recording is not working.
New folders displays its content in the middle of the screen=poor reachability.
Cannot change folders icons into circles
Apps names visibility on home screen is connected to visibility inside the app drawer.
Widevine ok, banking apps ok
But for those who have the EU version phone, will there be a specific beta for EU or just the Global?

I instalalled this update yesterday night , for now everything seems stable , i can't tell if battery is better or not because I rooted my oos 11 , and metod to root oos 11 didn't work for me on oos 12 , anyone know how to root oos 12?
The thing i can tell , buttons to navigate system changed , i could set custom gestures on oos 11 like if i hold home button my screen turns off, now i can't and their position is worse than oos 11 . And I agree with others that fingerprint seems working even faster

You're talking about magisk 24?

General [MIUI13][EEA][Android 12] Anything fixed/broken in the POCO F3 Official EEA Update SKHEUXM 13.0.4.0

Hi, just posting this in order to have more information on this update, the changelog states only an update of the security patch up to February 2022 security patches, nothing else is said.
I've seen a few bugs on 13.0.3.0 such as bubbles of chat cannot be closed when in landscape, you must go in portrait orientation to close the bubble of chat.
But I don't know if anything has changed about Battery Life, I haven't had issues with the 120hz/60hz refresh rate of the screen so far.
I hope this post will help people in better knowing what the upgrade fixes and what it doesn't and also if it introduces new issues or not.
For me it fixes the incredibly laggy notification shade (on 13.0.3 it was like a slideshow, now after the 13.0.4 update is is buttery smooth). I also noticed that apps that support material you / monet now use the wallpaper color. My battery life is the same, no issues on that front.
i have a strange issue, sometime the first 4 cpu cores get stuck at 1800mhz
verified with aida64
happens randomly after long standby or long charging and increase idle power usage significantly. I have to enable and disable ultra battery saver to get them unstuck
I've also had an issue, had to reboot my POCO F3, and the update disappeared... I can't even force it manually, the update is no longer here no matter how much I check, seems like a very useful bug....
Furthermore, I'm probably going to move on to LOS 19 or DivestOS (a more secure focused fork of LOS) when we have an official support out for the POCO F3, then I'll update the firmware inside the recovery I guess

I can confirm that. Clearing Updater cache brought the update immediately.
I also did the update, but my cache must have cleaned itself alone somehow, I noticed now that some chat bubbles are even more buggy in landscape for instance.
Material You has been added, support in most apps, like for instance in a browser, your navigation bar has now an orange tint, before it did not, many apps that do support Material You, I guess are affected by this new feature.
I have no idea however where you can configure such.
