[N10 SM-N970U/U1/W_Snapdragon]-[Upgrade Easily Firmware Using Odin]-[Automatically Root Remove Forceencrypt Patch Bluetooth And Fix Safetynet] - Samsung Galaxy Note 10 ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries,

Must Have An Unlocked Bootloader To Do This!
This An odin tar file I have created to flash along with stock odin firmware to automatically install TWRP recovery along with Disable VBMETA image. The tar file will also automatically install magisk root along with remove force encryption and patch bluetooth library file. It will also patch safetynet. No flashing of zips is required
Info For Bootloader Unlocks Can Be Found In Post 2
I Do Not Recommend Mixing Bit 5 With Higher Firmware!!!!
Unless Using Bit Safe Firmware That Is Patched
Downloads
SM-N970U/U1/W- Model
USERDATA_AIO_N970_FORCE_WIPE_10_10_21.tar.md5 --Use on android 10 or 11
This will force a wipe of data no mater what.
Full Odin 3.1.1 Bit1 Safe Firmware
N970USQS7FUH3_BIT5_SAFE.7z
This are odin files and will safely update all image files too bit 7 and keep bit 5 bootloaders. Unfortunately this will wipe data this is beyond my control as it seems to be a side affect of mixing firmware it causes data not to mount and therefore my AIO will format it. This is full firmware with USERDATA_AIO. This will put you on U firmware. Before flashing I recommend removing your google account and make sure in download mode you are not frp locked
If above USERDATA_AIO_N970_FORCE_WIPE_08_30_21.tar.md5 is newer than the one in this zip use the newer one from above
Odin3_v3.14.1_3B_PatcheD.zip

[Question] How to apply security patch to rooted device.

Hey, I previously rooted my phone and would like to apply new the January Security update. I am wondering if someone can outline the steps to apply this new update without wiping any of the data off my phone.
From what I understand I need to do the following.
Download OTA image from google
Download newest Magisk image
Download TWRP
Extract OTA (Radio, Update and Bootloader)
Extract TWRP
Copy Magisk to Phone
Copy TWRP Installer (Optional)
Then the work on the phone
1.
Code:
fastboot-devices
fastboot flash bootloader new-bootloader-image (then reboot into bootloader)
fastboot flash radio new-radio-image (then reboot into bootloader)
fastboot flash update new-update-image (then reboot into twrp)
fastboot boot twrp-image
2.
In TWRP Decrypt data and install Magisk newest release
3.
Profit now it works?!
I just wanted some confirmations before I go and do this before I make a mess. Also has anyone had issues with TWRP being able to decrypt data with this security update

TWRP had the ability to flash the OTA update on P2XL. It might be something that works again P3XL in the future.

[RECOVERY][UNOFFICIAL] TWRP 3.3.1-7 Magisk Prepatched ONLY FOR (ROOTED S10+EXYNOS)

After flashing this there is no need to press that key combo (VOL up key + Power + Bixby) to boot into Magisk mode. Just after flashing this image your S10+ will automatically boot up in the Magisk mode. And that key combo (VOL up key + Power + Bixby) will be used to boot your phone directly into recovery mode.

S10+ Exynos or Snapdragon ? or work for both ?
for s10 + exynos version
Just 3 things i wanna ask.
1. But you didnt mention twrp version?
2. Even if we already are on twrp' latest version we need to wipe because its prepatched?
3. We shouldnt ever factory reset or just after first installation? But we can factory reset from settings?
1. Latest Twrp 3.3.1-7
2. if you have a twrp installed then kindly do not flash it.
3. Kindly make a backup from twrp recovery before making a factory reset in case any thing goes wrong
Sorry for such a rudimentary question but are the adb commands done individually after "su" or is that one command line too long to fit in the box? Sorry, I've just been fighting with getting twrp on my phone since last night. Root works fine but after flashing patched img file I can never get it to go into twrp. Always goes to stock recovery even though flash is successful. I originally thought I was messing up the key combo but I have my suspicions. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

UPDATE××Got TWRP to boot the first time. First time system booted fine but I lost root. Did a fresh root per magisk install guide and reflashed twrp.img in root shell. Got twrp to boot again but it continues to boot loop. I only wiped internal with no factory reset. I know it's probably something I'm doing. Any suggestions?

It seems magisk not installed properly. Download latest firmware from Carotix folder Here it have prepatched recovery prepatched ap you need not to do anything you need to reflash recovery n system ...use odin flash patched ap cp bl and use HOME_CSC (you will not use any data apps or anything) Just flash using odin everything will work fine.
also download multidisabler from ian's multidisabler thread HERE put it in phone as need to flash after boot into Twrp!
instructions copied from Carotix thread
Download 4 files from OTA/ODIN FILES then follow this guide:
and put the last Multidisabler in your phone
1- Turn off the device and put it in download mode with the bixby / vol down button and inserting the cable to the PC at this point open Odin remove the check mark from autoreboot
2- Load the AP .tar file downloaded from OTA together with the BL the CP and the HOME_CSC .... if you put the CSC you lose all the data
3- Start the flash and wait
4- At the end you disconnect the phone from the cable and with the power / vol down keys force the switch off as soon as the screen goes black press vol + / bixby / power to go in recovery and don't leave the keys until you see the twrp screen, continue to keep the 3 keys pressed and wait for the recovery to start again
5- Flash the multidisabler then from the main screen choose recovery reboot to boot rooted/magisk system.

Thanks for your help. I had to do it a little unconventional to get it working. None of the prepatched recoveries that are included in all these firmware downloads would work for me using Odin. Only flashing this twrp.img in a root shell would work. I finally just flashed Beyond rom zip after getting into twrp along with the disabler zip. Boots into rooted system with no problems and I can boot into twrp with no problems as well. Oh yea, I flashed Beyond over ASG8 also. Not sure why I could never get ASH6 to work.

Hello kkrraazzyy,
can you please explain how to install your twrp.
I already habe twrp installed. an this rom. --> https://forum.xda-developers.com/s10-plus/development/rom-carhdrom-1-t3938987
But a want to install your twrp to boot always with Magisk without to press any key.
I need your help please.
Any proper YouTube guide video for these things, as flashing/rooting became so complicated with so many steps.... Thank you!
So from my understanding this is the first and only way to have the phno boot into the patched recovery automatically without needing top physically press the button combo? Or have I missed something Was just expecting there to have been a lot more attention that's all.
This has actually what has been one of the main reasons holding me back from rooting as it reminds me back in the day of tethered and untethered jailbreaks for iPhones.
Except that this is just a inconvenience while tethered would make the phone practically unusable.
Is there an app i can use to backup and restore my kik chats? I got a new phone, a Samsung Galaxy 10+ and want to tramsfer my kik chats and save data for Digimon Heroes! to my new galaxy 10+ i dont have root on either phones is there a app (apk) or one i can downlod on my laptop to make the backup of them so i can bring them over. Use Smart Switch by Samsung, it includes the possibility of transferring all your data and settings using a USB cable. I transferred everything from my old phone to this one (S10+ SM-G975F). I don't know if it will work on non-Samsung devices, but it's worth a try.
I have android 10 on my s10+, will this twrp work with android q?
possible to boot without root permissions too?
:good:
Hi @kkrraazzyy , could you show us how you did it?

[guide] OTA update when rooted ( revert to non-rooted , update—>root again)

Since you are rooted, you probably found out the OTA update won’t install.
after 3 % it crashes, and no update is installed.
So this is what I did to get the latest update:
step 1: remove root access;
- reboot and hold volume down to get into fastboot mode
- connect to pc, and load original boot.img , I checked if that was the proper one by using “fastboot boot
boot.img” ( I checked if magisk was no longer installed, this was merely to find out if I used the proper boot.img, I knew
chances the update would install were slim, I tried… but no luck as expected…. )
- I connected to LMSA, to make a backup, and download the new rom.
- I went to fastboot mode again and flashed the boot by using the command “fastboot flash boot boot.img ( the “old/current” one, not the one from the downloaded new image”
“fastboot reboot”
Step 2:
so the phone booted, and I ran the update again. This time I had no issues installing it.
Step 3:
i extracted the new Boot.img from the rom downloaded by LMSA
I re patched the new boot.img with magisk, rebooted again, and and the update was complete.
this was done on the eu g8 power , for update qpe30.79.124 , but i guess this will work on all versions since the process is the same ...
for people reading this, and don’t have root / want root, just read this thread:
Confirming success with this. I downloaded the whole ZIP, extracted boot.img and used Magisk App's built-in feature to mod the boot img. Afterward, I reflashed boot partition via fastboot. Thanks, all!
Success on Sophia RETUS 80-51-5. Flashed 80-51-3 stock boot with fastboot, took update, extracted BOOT from 80-51-5, modified with Magisk and flashed the mod with fastboot. Back up and running.
I have twrp installed. Will this work?
No, I don't believe so.

As far as I know you will also have to flash the stock recovery before updating... not sure if the recovery has to match the stock rom build, like the boot.img does. You could also flash the entire latest stock rom using LMSA to update.

I'm guessing that a fail is expected since original boot.img is no longer installed (ie, rather the patched version is installed). Hopefully someone can elaborate
Also in the case of the Magisk systemless root method, will OTA announcements occur even though they can't be installed without first unrooting?
I wonder if there is not a few steps that could be cut off and streamlined this method, for example why isnt uninstalling magisk enough, since magisk restores the boot.img, also it backs up the original boot.img so instead of going through the whole LMSA thing it can be just copied to storage and flashed in fastboot, right?

I just did that with a sofia retus phone on Android 11 for the new security update.
RPM31.Q1-54-13 to RPMS31.Q1-54-13-2.
1. Uninstall all Magisk modules and reboot
2. Uninstall Magisk and hit restore image
3. Uninstall Magisk completely and phone reboots
4. Accept OTA update (nervously)
5. Patch boot image with Magisk
6. Flash patched image with minimal adb and fastboot
7. Success!
this process does replace vanced youtube with factory youtube and youtube music, but it's easy to just replace them again in vanced manager.

Before you move further, make clear that rooting device -
- Your warranty will be void
- Some of functions may not work on rooted device, some function may get back with unrooting, some functions may never.
- All your data on device will be lost (Factory Reset is in the Instructions below)
- Flashing custom binaries may brick (Usually it's a soft but can be hard brick too), so follow it on your own risk!
Now that you accept the risks, let's have some fun -
Important: Although this is a simple guide you must follow all directions clearly
Simple guide to root your device and install TWRP after unlock: (Thanks to @Krog18 )
1. Download vbmeta_disabled.tar, TWRP for your device, magisk and multidisabler-samsung-2.6-afaneh92
2. Reboot to download mode and flash vbmeta_disabled.tar in ap slot and reboot. Device will reboot to recovery mode prompting you to wipe data so wipe data and reboot to download mode again.
3. Uncheck auto reboot in Odin and flash TWRP in ap slot.
4. Hold volume down and power until the screen goes black then immediately switch to holding volume up, Bixby button (10 series only) and power to reboot into TWRP
5. Flash multidisabler and reboot recovery
6. Go to wipe, format and type yes to format data
7. Flash magisk
8. Make a backup of efs and store it somewhere safe
9. Reboot
*First boot may take 10-15 minutes. If it doesn't boot in 15 minutes, force reboot by holding power and volume down for at least 10 seconds
Additional Method For Rooting If Above method did not work for you:
Step 1 : (Root Base Firmware with Magisk By patching files yourself, Then Flash TWRP in Odin)
Prepare Firmware files for root
You need to Patch AP File to flash using Odin to root device.
1. Download stock firmware for your device ie (SM-N975U/U1, SM-G973U/U1, SM-G975U/U1)
You need to download file according your region and model.
2. Once you finish download, extract files and keep all files on in a folder on the desktop of PC. From extracted files find the file with name AP_[device_model_sw_ver].tar.md5 copy to your Phone.
3.Download Latest Magisk Manager and Install to your device (Make sure to check for updates) (Optionally go into settings and switch the update channel to BETA)
4.Open Magisk Manager - Find Magisk Install (Top One) - Click Install - select to "Select and Patch file" - Click the AP file you have copied to your device (AP_[device_model_sw_ver].tar.md5)
5.Magisk Manager will patch the entire firmware file and output the newly Patched AP file to [Internal Storage]/Download/magisk_patched.tar
6.Now Copy patched AP file magisk_patched.tar back to Your PC
7.Download latest Odin and extract to Desktop on your PC
Step 2. Installing custom firmware files with Odin
1. Reboot to download mode and select volume up to continue:
2. Open Odin (as administrator) {Right-Mouse click--Open As Administrator}
Select AP in Odin and use the magisk_patched.tar file you have patched {The file you just patched with Magisk} for AP tab of Odin
Select BL,CP and CSC files (Use the files from the firmware you downloaded earlier) (This is VERY important, DON'T just flash only the magisk_patched.tar)
(Use All of the respective files BL, CP, CSC)
3.From Odin option - uncheck Auto Reboot option (I do this because I like rebooting when I'm ready)
4. Make sure all files are in the right place, Now Hit Start and wait till it's completely finish. When It shows PASS in Odin, disconnect device.
Okay Now the hard part is over, you can let the phone boot to system and Skip all Setup Steps because Next is TWRP.
Step 3. Odin: Flash Twrp and Boot with Magisk
Very Simple yet very Important:
1. Download the respective TWRP (Twrp<version_number>.TAR for you phone model (This is going to Odin flashed so you need .TAR file)
2. Reboot your phone into Download Mode, Hold Vol- and Power Button until it gets to DL Screen and press up for "Yes"
3. Put the Twrp<version_number>.TAR in the AP slot
4. Make sure the file is selected, (Unselect Auto-reboot in options tab in Odin) and in place and hit Start
5. Wait until it's finished, Now Hold Vol- and Power until you see black screen, release and then hold Vol+ and Power until you see TWRP recovery
Now Flash Multidisabler and Magisk
1. Flash multidisabler (Mega) (Google Drive) and reboot back to TWRP
2. Wipe data and storage
3. Flash Latest Magisk
*Enjoy
*** Remember: Make a backup of EFS through TWRP and save it to your desktop or Cloud service ie. MEGA, GDrive, Dropbox ****

Okay.... let me do that. Thanks.
Maybe should include that US Snapdragon will have to get their bootloader unlocked first and how they do..include Telegram. Or your probably going to constantly get the "I can't find OEM unlock" question.

Msgd re: oem unlock! Btw, if we got any awesome Sam sec experts out there who wouldn’t mind entertaining some qs from me regarding a lot of WEIRD stuff happening w my phone, be eternally grateful. Could even work out a monetary deal for your time, and (perhaps) help!
Thanks much in adv, msg on telegram as @nemotheDreamer.

Yes, it's been going on now for a few months. I've done it myself. It's completely legit

Thanks man, wanted to have a central "fool-proof" way for people to enjoy the freedom of root
Just to be clear - I need to pay to get my bootloader unlocked? That's still the case, right?

I've been on Nexus and Pixel devices so long now I cannot remember much about modification on Samsung devices. Last one I had rooted was the Note 2. Anyway, bootloader unlocked and successfully rooted my SM-N975U (Note 10+). Now there are updates available so I am sorry if this isn't the place or if a dumb question, but is there any special way I need to do updates on the snapdragon so I don't relock the bootloader or lose root? With Pixel, ADB sideload was easy, not sure with this one.
Is there a multi disabler package that is compatible with the SM-N976V ? I have tried multiple iterations of multidisabler-samsung-2.6c-afaneh92 but am have trouble.

I was in the same boat, went to the telegram channel and the guy who made that file added support for 976V. Not sure where else it's available, but you should be able to get it there from Mohammad.
TWRP for S20/N20/TabS7/ZFold2 (Snapdragon)

Hey, just wanted to thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I've had my Sm-976V BL unlocked and rooted for a bit now, but have been busy hence the late reply.
I have an issue. I boot into TWRP just fine but all my files in sdcard are nothing but random numbers and letters
I think this happens when you don't wipe your data. You also need to flash a decryption file. It happened to me at first because I didn't wipe all data.[/QUOTE]

Good on you, but now you want to figure out how to Root properly and enjoy the spoils of said Unlock. Well You've come to right place.
DO NOT QUOTE THE OP PLEASE, (If you would like to place this guide in your respective Device Threads ie. Galaxy s10, s20, s20 Note 20 Ultra 5g etc. thats perfectly fine)

2. Open Odin (as administrator) {Right-Mouse click--Open As Administrator}
MEGA, GDrive, Dropbox ****

which TWRP version to flash and which odin? hope i can get answer i had N975U1 unlocked bootloader
Anyone else getting that pesky "Android 11 Update" since they have rooted? I keep postponing it. I'm guessing it will fail if I try to install. Not sure what I should do.
Sammobile don't seem to have the firmware available yet. I was thinking installing it with odin then patching AP with Magisk

Question A32 4G root and twrp

Hi forum readers,
I think about buying an A32 4G (SM-A325FZKGEUB). In two threads here it was mentioned that rooting was successful. But how about twrp? I found an article on unofficialtwrp.com with description and download of an unofficial twrp and vbmeta.img with another tool for also unencrypting the data partition.
1) With all previous phones I only used xda stuff. What do you think, is it safe to use unofficial twrp?
2) If that twrp fails, I think it is possible to get the original recovery back using Odin. Correct?
3) Is it safe to use the vbmeta.inf and tool to unencrypt the data? I don't need Knox and also not Safety Net. Would it be possible to revert to factory status using Odin?
4) Ist necessary to unlock the bootloader for only flashing the Magisk-patched boot image? How about encrypted data?
Many Greetings
Florian
To root you need bootloader unlocked, if it isn't your phone will fail to flash and it will boot on EDM. If twrp fails you can always flash a .tar as AP containing only recovery.img
@ZModder, thank you for your hint. I was already successfully unlocking and installing Magisk 23. Because of your hint I dared to flash TWRP from the above mentioned web site. It didn't boot. But I could successfully return to original recovery. So waiting for a real device specific TWRP.

1st: Download appropriate firmware for your region and version of Samsung.
2nd: Unlock your bootloader. This will wipe your data.
3rd. Download magisk manager from github.
4th. Open Magisk and check what Ramdisk says.
4th: Extract your downloader firmware. There should be AP.... File. Open it via 7zip. Inside there you should have boot.img.lz4. Extract that file. If Ramdisk Says NO. Do the same with recovery file.
5th: Zip your boot file to tar format and place it on your phone.
6th: Open Magisk. and Press first Install Button.
7th: Press Select and Patch File. Magisk should create a new file inside Downloads folder. Called magisk..patched...etc Insert that file inside your pc. Do the same with recovery file if needed.
8th. Get into Download mode. You can do this by first turning off your phone and pressing both volume keys as you insert your usb cable.
9th: Open Odin File. If you have recovery file uncheck autoreboot. Place your patched file inside AP section.
10th: Reboot your phone and wipe your data.
11th: Volia!
