Oxygen os to color os swap - OnePlus Nord N100 Questions & Answers

Can i swap Oppo A53'S firmware to my Nord N100 as they both have almost exact specs???........is that possible?

probably not, the oppo a53 and the nord n100 have some differences in features so you might lose some features like gyro.

Nougat for Redmi 1s???

This there a nougat development for our device? I hope there is as the new doze implementation will benefit low end devices like our Redmi 1s.
Thanks..
Not possible.
Redmi 1S most probably won't get Android 7.0 because of CPU & GPU restrictions. It will only support the following devices as mentioned in the article by Android Authority.
""Looking over the list of devices that will receive Nougat we find the following:
1) The devices cover a range of GPUs including Adreno 306, Adreno 430 and Mali-T860.
2) The devices have a broad performance range from the Helio P10 and the Snapdragon 410 right through to the Snapdragon 820.
3) Most of the devices have 64-bit processors.""

i think redmi 1s will get 7.0 with some limitations like no individual file-encryption system as it requires a high speed storage
and OpenGL

How can it better? Snapdragon 400 doesn't support vulcan.
I think we better wait for cm 14 and armani-dev to work once it released

That's right too! But is faster installation of apps based on storage or the Vulkan API?

No, Vulkan is basically something like OpenGL, it's a premade library that helps take the load off the GPU, but only if the game creators used stuff from that library.
hope so

You have to try cm13 boot.img because the version released is cm14 for falcon not the Mokee7.0 for falcon. So try with cm13 boot.img and report if it boot's or not!

You can give that up. As far as I know treble is not on the one plus 3 and most roms are not making their roms GSI for the plain reasons.

Is it possible? Maybe, but unless you are gonna do it I wouldnt count on it. This device is just getting too old and all the main developers have moves to other devices. Not to mention most roms are not going the GSI route. So making their roms, devices compatible just isnt gonna happen unless someone gets board. You are more then welcome to try.

Will I be able to root OnePlus 7T?

Edit: Alrighty, my bad. LineageOS has a port for 7, not 7T. The question is not relevant to the 7T forums. sorry about that.
Sorry for the obvious question but seeing as things are changing all the time, I'd like to verify this before purchasing this phone.
I'm basically looking for an easy phone to root, have LineageOS on and be able to record phone calls one.
Looking around Reddit, there seems to be a consensus that OnePlus 7T is easy to root. It also has a LingeageOS port that is in active development.
I'm not buying it in the U.S., I'm not sure what the variant is (how does that work? if it's in the U.S. is it necessarily 'global'?)
The hardware specs reads:
SoC: Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus
Processor: Kyro 485
GPU: Adreno 640
RAM: 8GB
What do you think?
I did look at the rooting guides to try and find caveats and didn't see anything obvious.

Don't know about Lineage, but the 7T was easy to root.
I used method 3 on the root page (https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7t/how-to/guide-how-to-root-oneplus-7t-twrp-t3979307) because I wanted a clean image of my phone. It was a little time consuming, but that was mostly my fault for not closely reading the directions

Ah ok, for root you can use TWRP instead of patching boot.img. It's much easier and also faster.
1. Unlock Bootloader
2. Boot TWRP with "fastboot boot TWRP.img"
3. Flash magisk.zip
4. Reboot and voila you have root.
Edit: Don't flash ROMs with TWRP! Magisk works fine!

Question Is there a twrp available for poco f3 now?

I think this phone is not bad. I am going to buy one. I saw some card resources, but I didn’t see twrp.
Redmi K40 currently uses the factory Android11+HDV3 architecture, currently only GooglePixel5 and Redmi K40 are used, TWRP is officially adapting to the Android11+HDV3 architecture.

It's actually the same architecture as pixel5, that's too powerful
Does the fact they released the kernel source mean we will be getting ROMs for the F3?
Can someone enlighten me what HDV3 architecture means? Google didn't give me a hint

Hi mate,
Greetings from the Down Under.
I have been using a OnePlus 7T Pro for a while and recently just got a 9 Pro. I am actually just looking at which custom ROM to try on, got DerpFest and crDroid on my shortlist, however, the former seems to only have A12. When you say A12 on op9 is crap, did you mean the OOS or any custom ROMs? I will greatly appreciated if you can shed a light
Thanks,
DBW.
