Weird thing with contacts dialer and every app that uses them - Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite Questions & Answers

Hi, since i updated to last stock version (android 11) im having a weird behavior, when i power on or reboot my phone all works perfect, but after some time (i have never measured it) if someone calls me, it gives off or out of coverage, and if i open the dialer, my contacts are not showing, and using any app (like bank app) that uses my contacts (bizum) it stucks loading, even freezes my phone.
Is this a known issue? do any know how to fix it?
I must reboot or poweroff to "fix" it
regards!

[Q] Sudden Lag. Jellykat v6.7.

Hi guys.
So I was on Jellykat ROM for few months and everything was working fine. Thanks to the developer for this awesome ROM.
Few weeks ago, my Note 2 got sudden lag after 7-8 hours of uptime.
1-When I'm on Whatsapp, I cant bring the keyboard up.
2-When I pressed the home key, its seem like the Touchwiz was reboot, take time to load the widget, shortcuts and folders. (2-3 seconds)
3-I cant go to dialer screen, when I pressed phone icon, its goes back to the home screen.
All of this problems can be solved by rebooting the phone but I want to know what causing them? Before this it was OK. Anything I need to clear/wipe?
Additional problem (non-lag issue)
1-When I'm on mobile data, the messsages I received from whatsapp are always delayed. Data roaming is enabled.
2-When apps asking for reboot and I pressed Yes, nothing happen, I need to reboot manually. (SuperSU update asking for reboot)
Thanks. Sorry for my English.
Bring up my post.
Still looking for solution.
Also I cant get my Walkman apps work anymore..
BUMP.

contacts, call logs disappear randomly

Hello,
I've had the zenfone 2 for about a month now and there is an ongoing problem with my contacts:
- When I go to my text messages (also sometimes whatsapp logs) the contact names are gone and only the numbers show.
- When I go to the phone dialer, it just keeps loading and nothing comes up, or sometimes the dialer loads but my recent calls log is gone.
- When I go to my contacts page it is empty.
(I have screenshots of the above issues for clarification)
I can solve this problem temporarily by emptying the cache of the "contacts" app and the "asus calling screen" app, but the phone keeps glitching at least once a day.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Does anybody have a solution for this issue?
Thanks,
Ariel
Same issues as your Zenfone 2

1 - I have seen this as well
2 - Same here
3 - Same here
What I have noticed is the following:
4 - When I go to dialer, it takes literally over 15-20 seconds to pull up the call log history. It almost seems like its searching for this data and then there is a delay in posting it.
5 - SMS app (regardless of which one it is, have used stock, GoSMS, ChompSMS, others) hangs up, starts doing weird things, as if the processor is trying to play catch-up with the buttons pressed. If I let it be, it comes back to the last commands pressed. Reminds me of the old Microsoft windows days...
6 - Battery is draining very very fast. I see a full charge around 6:30AM, then the phone reaches 40% by noon. This started happening a few weeks ago, so I am thinking a software update caused this issue.
7 - Bluetooth communications with the car console is very slow. It sometimes takes 15-20 seconds for the phone to drop the call if I press the hangup button on the steering wheel of my car.
8 - Really close to giving up on Android. Can anyone help?
Is there an ASUS live customer support that I can call for help? Does anyone have this number handy?

Same here
Yep - can confirm. I have the same issue.
One thing that worked for me was selecting the 'Contacts to display' tab and removing some of the sources.
I thought that since it was polling information from so many different sources at real time, it might be slowing down.
This temporarily worked, but the issue came back.
Extremely frustrating problem - you don't expect these kinds of bugs to make their way through QC.
This is what fixed most of my issues

I flushed application cache for contacts and a few other apps, and restarted the phone. Contacts were fine afterwards.
was the issue solved or there is a suggestion how to solve it?
I have the same issue..Any solution??
Clear data option for all Asus apps which will clear cache itself. Or you can hard reset your phone.

Lost sound during calls, process isn't responding...

Dear XDA community,
Recently my LG G4 H818 (dual sim) started causing troubles after 8 monthes of use. Everything started a week ago, when during the call I couldn't hear the other person. The other person could hear me well. It didn't matter if I was calling or I was receiving a call. It didn't depend of which sim I was using, call sounds from both sims were silent. After reboot this issue was resolved. Temporarily... After couple days everything started again and again reboot helped.
Yesterday, after regular reboot due to this issue, my phone showed an error - "Process isn't responding. Do you want to close it?". This is where nightmare started. Everything froze or started lagging badly, I couldn't unlock the phone, I couldn't launch any app, even notification drawer was not coming down, the phone was useless. I could receive calls, but I couldn't pickup (phone freezes instantly). When I tried to launch an app, it would say "This app isn't responding. Do you want to close it?" before freezing for couple minutes. It was happening to every single app (Phone, Contacts, Shazam, Whatsapp, etc.). I barely managed to save my data to pc using usb cable and decided to hard reset (erase all, format data, etc.).
After hard reset, during the first launch everything seemed ok, no lags, no errors... BUT this morning I received a call, picked it up and sound was missing again. I did the reboot and now I'm back again to freezing, huge lagging, errors, and phone is useless.
Everything is stock, latest Androd 6.0 is installed. Not rooted, bootloader is locked - I have not done any changes to the firmware at all. I did drop it once on the hard floor (only once) after a month of purchase, but until last week everything was working ok. I must mention that battery wasn't lasting long enough, but it might be due to my heavy use (9GAG, Chrome, Corporate email app, gaming sometimes) - charging 3-4 times in 2 days.
Has anybody faced same issue? Can anybody help me? Couldn't find any results on google and on forum here. Please help.
P.S. rooting and installing a different ROM is not an option, since dual sim LG's have limited available custom ROMs. Also, I use a corporate email app that cannot be installed on rooted phones (it is really annoying).
Thanks in advance!
Some update. It turns out speakers and microphone works if on speakerphone. If I switch back to headset, sound dissappears. Seems like more of a software problem, than hardware.
anyone?

Have you been able to fix it? Since I updated my H815 firmware's, I have been having same issue.

Google Now Can't use microphone sometimes - no other mic issues

On my N910V running VRU2CPF3 CM13.0-20160724, I have noticed a very strange behavior with the Google Now app (recently re-branded as simply, the "Google" app). Immediately after a phone call (and during other circumstances I haven't identified precisely yet), the Google app will lost the ability to "hear" me, even if I press the microphone button and start talking. The "ok Google" function doesn't work during the issue either, nor can I retrain the ok google voice model because it plain doesn't register any mic input. I can make calls and people hear me fine, and I can record audio on my camera, so my microphone is working.
The issue always goes away if I reboot, but eventually comes back, even if I haven't made any calls. On one occasion, I got the mic function for the Google App back after opening my phone app, then lost it after closing my phone app. On another occasion, I got the mic function back for the Google app after uninstalling Google Chrome and Chrome Beta (per this post). I was also able to get functionality back once by plugging in an external headset and then unplugging it, and another time by force killing all open apps. All of these "fixes" failed to fix the issue this time around - strange, right? Again, reboot always gives a temporary fix, and a phone call usually (not always) causes the issue to occur. I have found at least one individual with the same issue (khalil) here
I have tried a fresh install of the system, and the issue seems to go away for hours or even days at a time, but always comes back. I froze every user installed app on my phone using Titanium backup to see if an app was the issue, but the issue persisted. However, the issue does not seem to occur when booted into safe mode (which screams of software problem). I am currently in the process of reflashing a blank system to see if the issue persists without any user apps.
This behavior is not specific to this operating system; I had a similar issue when I was on stock unrooted 5.1.1. I did not notice the issue on Jasmine rom running 6.0.1, but I also didn't run it for very long. I seem to recall having a similar issue with my Galaxy S3 on CM11 (though it was a while ago so I can't confirm the truth of this!), so I suspect that something about my setup is to blame, rather than the hardware.
One more juicy tidbit: force uninstalling the google app fixed the issue for a day, then the app started force closing on launch, and no amount of finagling would stop the force closing. For the record, I've flashed google apps mini from opengapps.
I don't know what tools to use for proper logging of hardware - ie, when an application has control of the mic or not. I suspect that the issue is coming from improper ending of microphone use state in a certain program.

Things get wonky after restarting my Pixel (SIM, time zone, wifi calling, voicemail)

Sometimes, not always, when I restart my phone, things get a little crazy and somehow they must be all related. It happens as often as approx once a week. What happens is the following things:
1- I get an email from Where's My Droid that my SIM card or phone number has changed
2- Network-provided time zone changes to Central European Summertime
3- Wifi calling is turned off (however this doesn't normally stay on for some reason)
4- Visual voicemail in the phone app is missing despite still being turned on
5 - APN is not selected (the circle next to Verizon is empty aka does not have the blue dot in it)
I am on 7.1.2 and rooted. Does this happen to anyone else and is there any fix? What could be the cause?
Edit: I doubt this is related, but since I am looking for general feedback for strange bugs with my phone...
Another thing that happens is sometimes while using my phone, apps randomly reload (lack of a better word)
By reload, what happens is the app does not fully close and reopen. What happens is the app remains open ("heading" bar at the top remains) but the rest of the page I am on goes completely blank and then returns with any previous changes undone.
So say I was writing an email in gmail, the red bar at the top with the back arrow and trash can, etc. stays while the rest goes blank and any text I wrote will be gone and I have to start from the beginning. Usually when this is happening, it continues to happen repetitively for a little while. Eventually it just stops on its own. It does not seem to be related to any specific app (since it happens with a bunch of apps) unless maybe it is related to something like Swype keyboard that is always on.
Does that happen to anyone else too? What is causing this??
If your phone is 128g your nand is bad and you need a replacement. Google is aware of the issue and should swap no problem.
