Question GMail - no notifications - Xiaomi Poco F3 / Xiaomi Mi 11X / Redmi K40

Hi,
i don't get any gmail notifications in MIUI on F3.
I've already disabled powersaving on the apps "google" and "gmail".
I've also checked the notification inside the gmail app is set to "all".
Any ideas how to fix?
Thx a lot

Have you tried disabling MIUI power savings?
I notice GMail notifications are usually delayed compared to MIUI's built-in mail app or Outlook, that's because I believe GMail does not support push notifications for Gmail accounts.

@Medvosteri Locking don't fixes the problem.
@Nemix77 If you mean the app specific, i did.
Notifications are not delayed, they simply don't appear.. even after hours..
Gmail was working fine on my old Galaxy A50.. now i have a flagship killer without E-Mail notifications :/

Update: Seems a reboot after disabling power safeing on the Gmail App did the Trick...

Default Mail app not sending notifications from multiple accounts?

Hey there everyone, just wanted to see if anyone's experienced the same problems as I have.
So I have 2 email accounts with gmail, one personal and one work account. I've enabled both of these accounts in both the mail app and the gmail app, and set notifications to be true for both accounts in each app.
Whenever a new email is sent however, it doesn't seem like the default mail app sends any notifications. Another thing is that even when I go into the app and force a sync, the icon on Home will only show the unread count for only 1 of the accounts.
I am still rather confused as to whether 'Sync Automatically' has to be turned on along with either WIFI/Mobile Internet to be able to receive notifications? Do you need to have 'Sync Automatically' enabled all the time, or would an active WIFI connection suffice?
Thanks in advance!
*Update*
It seems the Gmail App works fine, but not the Mail app regardless of whether only one or both are running... any ideas?

[Q] Facebook Lockscreen Notification Not Working

I've got my Xperia S running ICS 4.0.4.Since I first got it, I haven't been able to get Facebook notifications on my lockscreen. SMS and email work just dandy, though. Calendar, too. And missed call. Everything except for Facebook. When I had my Xperia Arc running GB, the Facebook notifications were so reliable. Part of the reason why I got the S was because I was excited for having the Facebook notifications on my lockscreen again, but it doesn't work. Any idea of what I need to do to fix it, or what might be wrong?
Facebook is checked in the lockscreen notifications part of display. And Facebook notifcations are set to active in the Facebook application. I've done a settings restore, and I've cleared data in the Facebook app. Still nothing.
We only have notifications of Calendar, Email, Miss Call and the last one, Message. Let check it out by yourself in settings/display/lockscreen settings

CyanogenMod 10.2, no Gmail notifications, every sync checkbox checked

Hello,
I updated my Sprint Galaxy S III (SPH-L710) to CyanogenMod 10.2 yesterday.
I flashed the latest gapps, and I updated my gmail apps to the latest one on the play store (4.7.1).
However, when I receive emails I don't get any notifications. However I still receive emails, and if I press refresh, then I got notifications.
I read lots of posts about it, but most of them told to check synchronization. Which I did.....everywhere.
I went to Account -> Google and checked GMail.
I went to Data Usage -> Menu and checked Auto-sync data
I went to GMail apps -> Settings and checked Sync GMail
I went to GMail apps -> ... @gmail.com settings and checked label notifications and set ringtones
I checked that gmail was not checked in Privacy Guard, and that the app was allowed to push notifications.
I tried to revert to gmail apps 4.5, clear data, remove google accounts and add it again, reboot the phone, re-update the gmail apps.
I tried from WiFi and 4G.
Nothing worked.
I don't feel like it's a sync issue, as I well received email (even if it's not instant).
I did a fresh install of CM 10.2 (stable), wiped cache and everything (I had stock ROM before).
I also think I do not receive facebook notifications.
Does these applications need to run in the background to get notifications ? Because when I come back to desktop after checking mails for example and goes to Manage Apps -> Running, GMail is not in there.
Thank you.
Edit: Could it be an issue with GCM ?
Edit: At some points I received notification (30min after I sent the test email).
A question is, how does gmail app works ? Is it synchronizing and emitting notification if new messages, or the other way around, if receiving new messages, emit a notification and synchronize ?
To test GCM, I downloaded Push Notification Test, and I can trigger the notification (step 3), but the system never receive it.
However I'm not sure why. Is there a way to restart gcm ? (I already tried to reboot, but it doesn't change anything.
I tested to disable profiles, just in case one of the profile overrides notifications. No luck.
It seems I sometimes receive notifications but sometimes after a long time after I receive the email.
Did anyone already got this kind of issue ?

Your not alone. The one thing i loved about the GMAIL app was the instant email notifications.
Now it takes hours (if it all) to notify me of an email since the update of 4.7.1.
Really would like a fix too (using a Galaxy Note 3)
EDIT: Seems to be working for me now. I updated all google apps on the phone, and in chrome i was logged in under another email, and relogged into mine. Then i tested it and appears to be working for now.
Hope this helps

In the changelog of 4.7.1 they said they fixed the sync, but I'm not sure it's completely fixed.
All my apps are up-to-date on my phone, and I don't have chrome. I'm never logged on my gmail with my browser and I don't have other gmail address.
That's annoying.
But I think I don't receive FB notifications either. I think it's more an issue in the CM. Do you use Cyanogen too ?

The problem is happening to me again. Its only since the update a few days ago which is really annoying. I am using stock so shouldn't be your mod. I had no sync problems before the update, but now the inbuilt email app beats the gmail app every time, to the point the gmail app doesnt even send notifications anymore.
Im at a loss as to what to do

As for me, I'm not sure this is the app, because as I said I also don't receive FB notifications.
And I also tried with gmail 4.5 and it didn't work either. After I revert to 4.5, I sent myself a test email, and I got the notification immediately, but after that, I sent other email, and this time I got no notifications anymore.

Not getting push notifications from GMail

Strange, I am not getting GMail notifications since I have my Pixel 2XL
Messages stops working after few minutes after the screen is off
1. I have tried to reinstall GMail + clean cache/data
2. tried to use Inbox app but same results
3. Other email apps (Edisson Email) works fine with push notifications
4. All other apps using push notifications works like a charm
any sugestions?
Please check whether sync option is enabled.
users & accounts > Automatically sync data > Enable
Checked, done - other Google items like contacts calendars etc are syncing properly
I've had this issue with Gmail for at least 8 years on every phone I've owned. It works when it wants to, that's about all I've learned in that time.
Interesting thing now that I'm using Tesla Unread: Whenever Gmail is not doing it's thing, I will see a badge for unread messages even though there is no notification. Open Gmail, and it shows unread messages in the inbox menu (but not in the box itself). A minute or so after opening the app, it will download the message and give a notification.
I no longer rely on Gmail, because of this. It's been going on for years and many people have had the same issue.

Galaxy S9 notification delays

Hello,
I just got a S9 and updated it to Android 10.
Ive noticed my Gmail and Facebook Messenger notifications are usually really delayed or dont come through at all until I go into app.
Im not sure if this has been answered but Im hoping you guys might know what I should do.
I have enabled notifications for each app & enabled them to appear on lock screen.
In Gmail account I set notifications to "all". Also, under Inbox notifications "Notify for every message" is checked.
In "App Power Management": "Adaptive battery" is checked. "Put unused apps to sleep" is checked. Within "Apps that wont be put to sleep" I added Gmail. No option to add Messenger.
The Power Mode is set to "Optimized".
What else should I do to fix Gmail and Messenger notification delays?
