Allview X2 Soul Mini - MTK Droid tools no

Hi !
I have a Allivew X2 Soul Mini (Gionee Elife S5.1) and want to have a full backup to root and modify it after.
The problem is that i stuck on mtk droid tools 2.5.3 . It isnt recognizing my phone.
I have reinstalled the vcom drivers several times and the vcom appears like it should for a few seconds. Phone is turned off and usb debugging is activated.
Is it because of built in battery ? Has anyone managed it with this phone or either the x2 soul ???

Scatter File Sony M5 Dual E5663

Hi,
Can anyone share the scatter file of Sony M5 Dual E5663. The only way to revive my bricked phone is scatter file. I can use these file in SP Flash tool.
If anyone can extract it from there phone it will be very helpful.
Here is the guide to extract the scatter file from Sony M5
http://www.droidgyan.com/scatter-file/
Is this still a possibility? Will it work? I hope someone can still do this for us.
try to figure out first if you can manage that sp flash tool recognizes your bricked device via connected usb com port. you have to install mediatek vcom drivers (google for it). this is essential before you can go further...
btw. you can download full firmware for your device via androxyde's flash tool. you can extract any .ftf rom with winrar but you will see that it does not contain any scatter file for your device. i've tried a random scatter file only to see if my bricked E5603 getting recognized as preloader vcom usb device in sp flash tool and it does not. it seems that this option is not working and my conclusion is that, after all that i've found so far, only a mainboard replacement is the solution as mentioned already by our experts.
Requesting Scatter File for Xperia M5 dual E5663
Hi!
I have a bricked M5 dual E5663 featuring an MTK-Chipset, and I hope to be able to revive it with SP Flashtool. However, I need a scatter file as a starting point, too...
THANKS if anyone can extract the scatter-file from the phone. In the downloadable firmware-images, there is unfortunately no scatter file included, so it would have to be copied from a "living" device...
THANKS, cheers!

Hi there! Thank you very much for trying! I am not an expert either, so I can't tell, why the option was greyed out.
Hopefully someone will be able to help!

Thanks! I tried. Anyway, it looks like SP Flashtool does not connect to the M5. IMO the MediaTek VCOM Driver does not associate to the M5 for some reason.
The M5 is identified as "USB Serial Device" using a native Windows Driver. However, it should appear as "mediatek Preloader Usb Vcom", according to http://www.yomitech.com/2015/04/how-to-install-mediatek-usb-preloader.html
I have not found any way to disable or uninstall that Windows naitive driver or any other way to make Windows connect the M5 through the VCOM Driver...

Help me unbrick my Kindle Fire Gen 5

Hello! First post here so please be gentle.
I am trying to resurrect a bricked Kindle Fire 5th Gen (Model: SV98LN) after a failed attempt at rooting using a Root Junkie tool. I was trying to get vanilla Android on it. Anyway.. it's apparently dead, showing a black screen and no attempts to turn it on have succeeded. It's probably hard bricked.
I've done quite a bit of reading and tried various things:
- making up a factory cable for fastboot mode
- installed Mediatek SP drivers so as to reflash the MMC (on Win10)
- tried to access the Mediatek 65xx Preloader on a Linux machine using aftv2-tools
..so far nothing is working, but I do see the Mediatek device appear on the Windows device manager momentarily (it disconnects with "failed to read device descritor" or some such) and also I can occasionally see it on the Linux box with lsusb. But that's all.
Could someone offer a bit of advice, please? I know there's a lot of information out there about this but I've spent a solid day ploughing through threads, dead ends and other unuseful information and I can't find any solutions myself.
Many thanks
Jon

If you have a 5th gen Fire codename Ford/KFFOWI.
Do not use a factory cable(fastboot cable).
There is a unbrick and bootloader unlock method.
See the 5th gen forum

Following https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ick-downgrade-fire-7-ford-and-austin.3899860/ I have got it into (hacked) FastBoot mode. It's displaying an Amazon logo and says "=> HACKED FASTBOOT: (0) - xyz, k4y0z"
The next step in the procedure is to call the fastboot_step.sh script, but each tiome I do it errors out with 2symbol lookup error: fastboot: undefined symbol: _Z15ErrorCodeStringi"
I'm going to also look at the link you posted, thanks.
Seems to be a problem with my fastboot in /usr/bin... not sure how to correct it. apt-get reports it is fastboot 1:8.1.0+r23-5~18.04 and says it's the latest. Is that right?
