Question Which phone call Recorder works on the OP9 Pro? - OnePlus 9 Pro

Hi,
I want to know if it's possible to record phone calls native? I assume this phone is being shipped with Google Dailer.
Is there way to still record phone calls (root or nonroot) that it doesn't notify the other caller just like in the native dailer of Google.

Magisk Module "Call Recorder - SVALEX" is running well here.

By theory if you are able to convert it to international and, also flash nolimits module, you will be able to enable native call record in the dialer settings. This is what I always did. Again, I can't confirm that this works on the 9 because I don't have it but, this has worked on the 6,7,8. Just trying to assist and, I myself refuse to run a phone without native call record.

Yap, it is 9.99 Euro, and it IS fancy. There are some things an switches to configure. Some important for me (encrypting the records), some don't (filter, who is recorded, who don't).

I use Jone plus tools with EU OTA. Always worked. Just require the Call Recorder Service option to be picked up.

I use axet's call recorder module from magisk. It is free. Only you have to remember to open call recording app once you reboot phone.
I've been using joneplus with oneplus' native call app, but it was not working good for me. If I put the phone to my ear before the call was answered, it did not work at all.
Used svalex version from magisk also and did not see any big difference compared to axet's. Had to open the app every reboot too.
To sum up, I stick to axet's as long as there is better way to record calls.

But you need to use the oneplus dialer for that and not the Google dialer that comes as the default dialer?

Install like any normal apk. Then set them as default thru Settings (default for messages, phone). Deactive the Google ones again thru Settings/Applications & notifications/Show all applications and pick up those Google to deactive them

Yes i have all installed. I just thought from your comment that you'd found a way to have the Google dialer work with the joneplus call recorder.

Do you have to wait for someone you call to pick up the phone before you put the phone to your ear to call record work? Had this set up and if I forgot about this my call hadn't been recorded.

Also how works axet call recorder? How is the sound? Could you send some screenshots of the settings of axet call recording.

[Q] In need of the best Call Recorder App

I am getting ready to flash ProBam KK and I would like to know where I can find the best call recorder.
I really like the one in the Jedix20 ROM...it allowed me to recorder only the calls I wanted and both sides of the conversation was clear. I tried Galaxy Call Recorder, but the sound quality was horrible. Any Suggestions?

You can use a call recorder module from Xposed framework. That would work like the one in Jedi.
You could also make one with tasker that you toggle on/off from your homescreen or just record every calls.
Thank you both for responding.

If I can't get the Xposed call recorder to work, I may give this a try...how's the sound quality?
Install the app called tasker.
Go on your homescreen
Add shortcut - task
Create task in media record audio.
Don't forget to add a icon in the right bottom corner.
Now repeat to make a stop record audio button.
Or
Search Google for tasker profiles. Hit the first link. Scroll the list until you find the call recorder. Download the XML and import to tasker.

Try an app called "call recorder" by Skvalex in the play store (there's a link to the trial version in the description of the paid version) it's working great on my i317m running skynote air. If you want to try it do this:
1. Go here and download the "alsa_update.zip" from the link in the comments section:
http://code.skvalex.com/callrecorder/issue/228/alsamixer-wont-install
2. Boot into recovery and make a nandroid backup, then install the zip you just downloaded.
3. Reboot and install the call recorder app.
4. Go to settings>recording>device and select your device. (Some of them are out of alphabetical order, so have a good look and try to find your exact model)
5. Go to settings>recording>recording method and select "alsa"
(The zip file you installed added the files needed to enable this recording method. Alsa gives very good volumes on both the incoming and outgoing ends of the call)
After that you should be good to go. I've used this app for years now, on a couple of different phones and love it. I get a lot of addresses and phone numbers given to me while driving, and this app saves me from having to pull over (or not) and try to write them all down.

official lineageos 14.1 has native call recording, im not sure about unofficial ones, sorry
I dont have this option too, in my device Oneplus X with official Lineage 14/2 and native dialer.
Don't have it either. It is not enabled in my region (USA), though it is perfectly legal. Please allow choice!
i came to this thread when googling for solution.for anyone wondering, native call recording do exist in the lineage os all you gotta do use some kind of apk editor open com.android.dialer in system apps and edit res/values/bools.xml search for call_recording_enabled and replace its value to 'true' then reboot phone. you will get three dot menu in call screen and record call button in there.

Messaging and Dialer

Hello there,
Just got my Mi 10T Pro some days ago and the first thing I noticed was the lack of the Dialer and Messaging apps from Xiaomi.
Apparently, the global version, at least the ones sold in the EU come with the Google versions pre-installed.
Does anyone knows how to get them back?
Cheers,
Arky

Because of the gdpr, Europe insists that all data collection (even call recording) be public, and since xiaomi is chinese and they're collecting everything you do on your phone, they decided that it's better to comply with eu regulations than to lose huge european market. And since no one in Europe is considering call recording even remotely useful (you can't use call recording in a court for example) that option was removed as unnecessary.

3a rom on which Skvalex's Call Recorder works?

So, for five or six years, I had an original Pixel, rooted, and on it, Call Recorder worked flawlessly. I expected the same thing from the 3a, which I just picked up and rooted, but no. Every other call fails to record correctly. I wondered if any of you other 3a owners have managed to get SKVALEX's recorder working and if so, how you did it. Would be happy to flash another rom if that's what it takes. The recorder is the main thing I need out of my phone.

Well, sweet. Maybe that was the issue after all. Mine defaulted to CAF for some reason. Maybe my settings got imported from my old phone initially. So far, changing it to uplink+downlink has it working. If that's all there is to it, I'll be thrilled. Appreciate your checking for me and for your help here.

Still no love from the Skvalex recorder on the 3a. I'll think I have it nailed down and then it drops a call. Always seems to know when it's an important call, too. Aggravating. None of the other recording apps work at all for me so there's that..

A final check:
You tried to install *this* as a Magisk Module? And not upgrade it in F-Droid?
https://github.com/di72nn/callrecorder-axet/releases/download/v1.0.1/callrecorder-axet-v1.0.1.zip
Reboot.
Then you need to give the app all permissions in Android; mic, phone...
App Settings: Recording Source: Auto (default), Sample rate: 16Khz. Encoding: mp3, Disable battery optimizations: Yes, System Mixer Incall Recording: No.
Turn on call recording in app.

I did it three different ways that I recall. Installed Call Recorder straight from SKvalex's page, had problems, tried something else. Installed as a Magisk module, had problems, tried something else. After that, I installed it as a straight program again, although I don't remember from where. Still having problems. Doesn't seem to matter
where I install from. And I'm careful every time to make sure it has all the permissions, exclusion from battery optimizations, etc. It's just mystifying.

This is *NOT* Skavlex's Call recorder but Axet's.
