[Q] galaxy note II dual sim mtk6577 bricked

hi to all, recently i buyed a chinesse GN2 with dual sim everything was fine, i insert my sim card and i don't have network, ok no problem say to me, maybe i can turn on the wi-fi, well the phone freeze when i turn on the wi-fi, i had to remove the battery no response for any button, i try to backup my rom but something go bad and i lose my chinesse Galaxy, i can't enter into a factory default or recovery mode, the phone only show samsung screen then boot again...so it's a boot loop.
any help?
This forum is for the International Note 2 version (N7100) only. Other than that, these chinese phones have very less or no guarantee of either software or hardware. You'd be better off if u sell it and buy an international version of the note 2. Possible solutions are to keep looking and find a solution on a chinese websites (my friend looked for roms on many of them for his chinese note 1), or contact the seller for the faulty device...

S20 Ultra Issues - Especially Network Issue

Hi Friends,
Below are some problems I am facing with my S20 Ultra which is exynos variant using in Saudi Arabia
Connectivity:
Is there anyone facing an issue with incoming calls ? I am always receiving messages from my friends that tried calling you and your phone is not reachable in spite of having full signal strength. The biggest joke was i called on my number and instead of giving line busy i head number is not reachable. I changed my network provider to the best in Kingdom but this problem exist. I will appreciate if someone can help me on this or else i need to drop this phone because receiving calls is very basic thing which i am not getting at the moment,
Camera:
Even after having so many updates the focus is very bad. Especially if you zoom on a subject you need to wait too long for camera to focus the subject. Such an expensive phone and this issue looks ridiculous.
Hi, i live in KSA too, notched this issue when I was using 2 SIM cards, but now I'm using 1 and it is normal, however I have another problem with WIFI which keep lagging every half hour, so I need to turn it off and on again to work properly.
Phone: S20+ 5G exynos

But what is it to do with 2 Sim Cards ? Also my second Sim is turned off although it is inserted in the phone.
I may well remove it out of the device to see if something works.

So here it is Samsung has admitted to issue of Camera and there is no software update can solve this.
It is shame on Samsung for releasing an unbaked item in the market for such hefty price tag.

i have the same problem with you... about the wifi. it keeps me lagging everytime.... in another device my wifi connection works properly .. only in my Phone...
using S20+ 5G Snapdragon [ SM-G988U1 ]
Snaps
I did professional photography/videography for a number of years. When it comes to relying on a smartphone for great snaps, it can happen but for the most part it's an unrealistic expectation. Yes, some devices are better than others when it comes to camera utilities and functions but device manufactures continue to expand camera arrays to one up the competition and boost sales as most users will never engage all 5 or 6 cameras available on the S20 Series. IMHO they've gone overboard and as a result are asking Smartphones to achieve great results in all aspects of photo or video creation. Smartphones take OK photos and anyone can improve their results by focusing on the fundamentals of photography. Lighting first and foremost then Composition, Subject Framing and Depth of Field. When I want to text my friends I don't grab my Nikon, when I want to get a great snap I don't grab my Smartphone.

I have the same issue with not receiving incoming calls. There is a whole thread on Samsung forums of people with the same problem.
Regarding not receiving incoming calls:
I had this issue and figured out what was causing it. You need to disable VoLTE if you are not registered to use this service on your carrier's network.

General [Info] T-Mobile REVVL V+ 5G

See:
T-Mobile's new 5G phone has a huge display and is really cheap
The T-Mobile REVVL V+ 5G has launched, and it has a huge display, a Dimensity 700 chip, and 5G support, and it only costs $200.

I currently just bought this phone. It's a little glitchy but for the price you can't beat it.
Device is made by Wingtech http://www.wingtech.com/en/wtyw_main/4120 . Can't wait to see twrp/root. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be so glad to help move things along.

Do you think if unlock this phone can work for ATT network or Verizon network?
There is an out of box OTA. If you buy this device please follow https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...our-android-device-using-logcat-file.3773083/ on how to capture the OTA address, this might be our best bet at getting the firmware.
Edit: here's a link on the out of box update. I had no idea what it was doing at the store. https://www.t-mobile.com/support/de...-5g/software-updates-t-mobile-revvl-v-plus-5g
I have the non+ version, where could I find info on it?
link to out-of-box OTA update for this phone.. hopefully someone can work magic
https://android.googleapis.com/packages/ota-api/package/72d80093722599cd459bca02504f22cbf3421dd2.zip
if anyone needs me to send the file, I can...
Anyone know the steps to load this to replace the OTA update dated October 5, 2021 which makes the phone reboot whenever a caller ID blocked number calls, also corrupting the installed microSD? Thanks!
October 5, 2021 update made the phone unstable, but December 5, 2021 update made available three days ago is working fine. Symptom was any private/blocked caller ID incoming would cause the phone to reboot.
Hello friends! Does anyone know the ways to unlock this phone from T-mobile carrier? Maybe somebody works at T-mobile who can help?

Hi there! I don't have the Revvl (I have a Pixel 6 Pro I got from TMo directly) but what I did was I messaged TMo on Twitter saying I might be going overseas soon and needed the phone unlocked for international carriers. The rep sent me a link to sign into my TMo account, then she immediately unlocked it from her end, and I got a notification on my phone saying it was carrier unlocked. She then instructed me to download an app to check if it was actually unlocked, and it confirmed it. The app is for Pixels only so that will vary with this. After I did this, the phone was carrier unlocked and I was able to unlock the bootloader.
Best of luck!
Can someone help me for some reason my selfie camera is no longer available apparently when i try to flip to the selfie camera it just zooms out but still on the back camera and it also does that when using a 3rd party app

esim???...Can I flash a different firmware with it

I have been looking for months but never have been able to do it...missing sim card manager option. I am now hoping someone has been able to do it.
I have an S20 5G (SM-G981W) - Snapdragon
Baseband G981WVLS3FVI2
Service provider software SAOMC_SM-G981W_OYV_RWC_12_0006 RWC/RWC/XAC/RWC
Is there a way to flash a different firmware to get the sim card manager? I would love to switch to esim so that I can add a data nano sim as well. I got to imagine that it can be done easily with ODIN but because I do not have an additional phone to use while trying different flashes, I can't just flash until I find the one that works
If anyone has an idea, please let me know...thanks in advance.
Hi,
I have the same issue and i was wondering if have figured it out as I would love to get an esim. I am on telus right now and I want to walk away from the roaming charges by using esim.

From what I can tell is that all the Snapdragon s20 do not have ability even though the processor supports it. I ended up getting an S21 with the Exynos processor which has it. I didn't have the patience to wait for a way to do it.
Good luck
Thanks for the reply and the great info. Did you buy a Canadian S21 or a USA S21 model? May I ask where you go it from ?
In Canada...It was on Kijiji...I just asked if the phone had sim card manager. That was the important thing for me so I could esim and sim at same time. Currently have my Rogers as esim and my us data plan on sim
Thanks again. Who are you using for US data plan. ?
Mint mobile...it was buy 3 months and get 3months back on black Friday.
You can flash u1 firmware onto the w (Canadian) phone for esim support. Note that android 12 is the hight version avail

Here's a comparison between the W and U1. There's not much difference between the two, except the U1 has more 4G bands. Supposedly, A13 is already available for the U1. I've flashed many times on Nexus 5/7 devices, and even when I screwed up, there was no brick. Are the Galaxy S phones just as robust for flashing?
I've had no issues flashing a rogers w to u1 via odin. I suppose always risks because you are flashing bootroms etc.
I don't believe there is an a13 yet for u1, I assume it is coming very soon. Some people thing Samsung just forgot to push the update
Does a13 for w not support esim? What I found with the u carrier versions is was the esim options were not available. I think you need to insert the carrier Sim before the option shows. U1 is there by default
Holy [email protected]%...I wish this was answered before...sim card manager is there on u1...
Now I have 2 phones...
Thanks...if though a little late as I bought a different phone

Question Galaxy Z Fold3 5G SM-F926B with disabled SIM!

Hello,
I have purchased a "display" Galaxy Z Fold3 5G SM-F926B/DS but the SIM slots are disabled for some reason (the phone won't detect any SIM cards). All other features are functioning properly. The seller told me it can be enabled by installing some kind of software. Unfortunately, I haven't find any information, so far.
I have attached a screenshot where the Model & IMEI numbers can be seen.
Please note that it is not locked to a certain carrier.
My question is: Is there any software which can enable the SIM card slots?
Regards,
Sambi
Unfortunately the general consensus of XDA is that we don't condone or help anyone with display models of devices because they're technically stolen property from the manufacturer and/or retailer. Also most display models are intentionally disabled in some way, especially after they are reported stolen.
You were scammed, plain and simple. I would try returning it to get your money back but I doubt you'll be able to. And as for knowing what it was before purchasing it, in my opinion, is an expensive life lesson to research these things thoroughly before purchasing.

Thank you Spar0n,
The guy who sold me the device is working for SAMSUNG. I'll try my best to return the phone and get my money back. If he resisted, then, I may report this to SAMSUNG, directly.
Lesson very well learnt. Thank you, again!

Honestly, I would just try contacting Samsung and give them all the info you have about the seller and offer to give the device back (to get in good graces that you're willing to help them) and see if they offer you any kind of response. I personally don't have any experience with this but who knows maybe somebody nice in customer service or fraud or whoever at Samsung might take pity on you and offer a discount or something on a real phone.
{Mod edit: Quoted post has been deleted}
A reset isn't going to assign the hardware IMEIs. They were left blank during production on purpose OR after it was reported stolen Samsung removed it. Either way that's not going to fix this.

That is not a display unit (SM-F926B/DS)
The problem with that phone seems to be a lost or corrupt EFS partition
Flash the latest stock rom via ODIN , it would probably solve your problem
