You should be able to use the same technique as OxygenOS as long as Color OS uses a payload.bin file.
Extract the rom zip and check if there's a payload.bin file within, if there is then follow my guide here.

Link on that page redirects to mmx a110 page. I don't think both devices are same
I think all mediatek based devices can use it.

i have flash a custom rom and try back to miui v 9.5.6 i flashed it and flashed magisk v 16.0 at same time and made reboot system but the device not open yet
what can i do?

i have flashed many custom roms aosp,lineage,liquid and arrow os

Kernel 4.14 is stable and the camera is better than on kernel 4.9
It needs more battery at the moment, but depends on the usecase

I've looked into this twrp and being the op8pro is the a/b partition like the OnePlus 6 and up there has to be a twrp installer as well . Say we had a rom to try there is a certain flashing process
