Question [CLOSED] Answer: USB 3.1 Gen 1. Original Q: USB-C USB 3.1 Gen 1 or Gen 2 on the Pixel 6 Pro? - Google Pixel 6 Pro

I know that the Asus ROG Phone II was the first phone to have USB 3.1 Gen 2 two years ago, but does anyone know if the Pixel 6 Pro have Gen 1 (5 Gbps) or Gen 2 (10 Gbps)? TIA if there's any authoritative evidence, and I'd appreciate a link to any.

Will Pixel C receive Android Pie unofficial ROM

The Google Pixel C is still a fast tablet that can handle many tasks you throw at it. I just heard that Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 model just received an unofficial ROM for Android 9.0 (Pie). Is anyone working on it for the Pixel C?

I hope so but I think the Pixel C is too niche and we just don't have much developer support around.

I don't know , I just got the phone and noticed that the fast charging is not consistent at all.
After digging around in XDA and Reddit I found out that the October OTA messed it up..
That's why I'm asking.

It's fairly consistent for me though not really fast. I'm using the original charger and the speed varies depending on the percentage. Take a good amount of time to charge up fully. Although with my usage i get a full day and i put it up on charge at night so issues for me.

No the OP meant that there was no update (fixes the 3 and 3 XL got like camera launching) for the Pixel 2 and 2 XL for March. It's just a security update.

Inconsistent how for you? It's always a 70-75% increase in 60 minutes when starting at 5-10%.

Not trying to be difficult here, but where did you find that it is JUST security updates?

Now maybe that refers only to the OG Pixel, in that case where are the ones for the P2 / XL and P3 / XL?
Below is a screen grab.

I actually didn't catch that. I went by the system up to date saying "security patch level: March 5, 2019".
Me saying it's "just a security patch" was just saying that's there's no functional changes like the Pixel 3 and 3 XL.

Yes, but no. I'm not sure but:
Security patch levels of 2019-03-05 or later address all issues associated with the 2019-03-05 security patch level and all previous patch levels.

Was patched in the last updates.
So I assume We got the https://source.android.com/security/bulletin/2019-03-01#2019-03-05-details patches but no Pixel specific security update was added.

Charging speed varies with the percentage of battery when you plug it in, faster charging initially and then it slows down towards the end.
Charging speed also depends on the phone temperature, if the phone is cold (less than 18 or 20 Celsius i think?) it charges quite slowly, above 22-23 Celsius (the phone that is) it charges fast.

will there be dual sim in android q in pixel 2xl in India?

Android q beta 3 brings dual sim stand by in pixel 3 , will there be same feature in pixel 2xl in android Q ?
I think it's beta 2 which brings dsds support to pixel 3. Moreover, even I want to know if anyone has updated to Q beta2 and tried if that works for pixel 2 XL as well or not?

General OnePlus 11R

Don't see XDA dedicated forum for it.
They added IR Blaster, interesting. And a smidgen more screen size? and like 1.5K resolution (no LPTO screen). Charger 100W.
Yes, it's budget. Last year's Snapdragon (so no 5G band Aggregation), and stays at UFS 3.1, LPPDR 4 (so you won't see lower temps & 30% less power used like regular 11).
Fold coming later this year.
Hhmmm...
Xda forum for 11R will be small like the one for 10R.
10R 150w for a buget phone is Great ! i use it for more than 6 months.
On Giztop 11R is 499$ Usa for 12/256 Gb. With OxygenOS is you want.

X65 supports 5G aggregation. The X65 was the first modem I would have recommended for someone looking to keep a phone for awhile.
5G Spectrum: mmWave-sub6 aggregation, sub-6 carrier aggregation (FDD-TDD, FDD-FDD, TDD-TDD), FDD-TDD support for uplink-CA, Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (DSS)

It is fully 3GPP Release 16 compatible as well which means that it can support any commercially-available 5G band (but may require a firmware update so I wouldn't bet on OnePlus adding bands beyond what their sales info states).
If you aren't gaming (there are massive advances in the 8 Gen 2 in this regard) and you are okay with the possibility of having to charge your phone each day (or more than once a day when using 5G heavily), it's definitely worth considering.
EDIT: Actually, it's using the 8 PLUS Gen 1... I have no qualms recommending a device using that chip to anyone who doesn't care about what the X70 modem adds (not much) or who doesn't want the absolute best performance and is willing to pay for it.
