Question Pixel 6 Pro: Build Fingerprint - Google Pixel 6 Pro

Can someone give me the build fingerprint of the SD1A.210817.036 build?
Thanks.

What is this "build fingerprint" of the SD1A.210817.036 build you're looking for? A hash? What? I know what the build is, but I'm guessing that no one has answered you in the 3+ threads you asked because we don't know what you're looking for when you're talking about a fingerprint of it. If it's something I can provide and feel comfortable doing so, I'll help you.
I look forward to helping you, honest. And if I'm just ignorant and everyone else knows what you're talking about but just not answering, my apologies for that part in advance.
Cheers!
PSA: Most of the time, you shouldn't ask the same question repeatedly in multiple threads. Keeping it in this thread - posting the question again in your own thread, is the right way to start it and would be the right way to *bump* the unanswered question. If no one answers, then there's likely a problem with your question, such as no one knowing what you're looking for. Maybe someone else knows - I don't know, but I don't know what I don't know in regards to this, that's for sure.

A build fingeprint should look like this: google/redfin/redfin:12/SPB5.210812.002/7671067:user/release-keys
You can probably find it by downloading the SetEdit app and going to the Android Properties tab and find the ro.build.fingerprint property and copying the value.
Also, i'll keep what you said in mind. Thanks

I recently upgraded to WM6.1 and I can't seem to add the sounds I want for Text Messages.
Either they changed something, or I forgot a step.

If he did a search he wouldn't needed to make a pointless thread , I wouldn't made a post without an answer, and you wouldn't have made a smartass comment like you know it all. How long did it take you to search for that thread link you posted? I'm sure it would've taken krucifix the same amount of time it took you.

I didn't make a smartass comment until you told me that if I was posting that I should give an answer. The difference between you and I is that I contribute to the forum and I don't make comments about people posting without giving the answers and even after all my time here I still search for answers rather that making threads. The point I'm trying to say is we need people to do some research on the forum for their problems and try to solve them themselves instead of expecting to be given the answers to everything. There is a high percentage that an issue has been covered and resolved on the past and if people would search they could get an answer without the need of a new thread of a topic that is on another thread. Peace..

Spoon-feeding people does nothing to help. If there too lazy to search first before asking, what good do they add to the community? And if he upgraded to 6.1, shouldn't that question have been addressed in the rom thread he's using? Why does it deserve its on special thread when it related to a rom he's using that has its own thread? It was stupid to start a new thread, regardless of whether or not someone gave him the answer. BTW, did you just pull that link out of your head, or did you have to search for it/him?
Imagine yourself lost and ask someone for help but only to get a reply like: "Why don't you learn to read a map dumbass." Tell them what they need and then teach them how to find things themselves.

No No No, people need to use the search then ask for help if the knowledge they are looking for is not available to which considering how much info is on XDA then the answer is generally there..... If not then make a post in the correct thread!!!
We are here to help not spoon-feed.......

Backup Application for Touch Pro 2?

Hi, guys
I was just wondereing if there is a possible software out there to backup my Touch Pro 2, like the iphone where you could restore and it would be the same at the same period of time.
Thanks guys for reading, and helping. Kenichi*
No. There is absolutely no backup program ever made for the TP2.
OR
You could do a simple search and find a ton of info about what is available. Read the forum rules before posting. See this very important information, http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?f=488.
Locking for a lock thread!
Mods-
Please lock this.

Questions like that are best searched for over in the Themes and Apps section.
The 2 most widely-used solutions for doing a full-system backup for your TP2 are SPB Backup and Sprite Backup.
Windows Mobile Backup
Windows MyPhone works perfect for backing up and restoring all data, including texts

Yes you can lock my thread. Its fine. I found my solution, seems like you guys are very annoyed when a simple question asked. Good luck to you all. There is no need for this thread anymore.
those that just say SEARCH, why not give the info and then suggest to search..or do you just feel a over whelming need to jump on newbies cause they cannot find what they are looking for ? come on just post the info , this will help in the search results..
For ease of search...
and just a simple answer for those that come across this thread in a search result.

The problem is not about helping users. It is about letting XDA become so junked up with multiple threads about the same thing because people are too (fill in the blank) to search. Can you imagine how bad it would be if everyone who had a question just started a new thread.
In addition, if you people would read the forum rules you would be informed that searching is the first thing you do before posting. That includes in a thread or starting a new thread.
As long as "helpful" people reply to the (fill in the blank) people that ask without searching, and give them the answer, we will never have control of XDA. It just gets more and more bloated and junked up. Sorry if you don't see that.

EXACTLY ! Kimtyson, you got it on the head
I'd like to add that if these people can't be bothered to spend a little time do a simple thing like search for the answer to their own question then why should anyone else put any effort in ?
At one point there seemed to be a new thread almost everyday asking "My RAM is at x%". What does that achieve apart from pushing legitimate questions off the bottom of the page so people with real problems are less likely to get help ?
I think there should be a 24hr posting ban for anyone starting a thread who blatantly hasn't spent any of their own time trying to sort it out. The forums rules do state you have to search first and maybe by enforcing this we could streamline things a bit.

[Q] Change OP of a thread?

Hi Mods (and everybody else might know an answer),
Is it possible to change the opener of a thread?
The background story is, that a developer of an app hasn't the time to keep it up to date. In agreement of the dev, I'd like to do the work.
Thanks in advance,
berkley

Sure, just get the OP to PM a mod or report the post, and say who should be the owner.
Make sure to get a link to the thread in question so we know which to change

How do I give thanks for a post?

Hello, all.
First of all, let me say that I did not make the decision to create a thread lightly. I have been a member of this forum for over a year, and this is my first post. I have looked everywhere, but cannot find this simple answer.
How do I thank a member for his/her excellent work? Specifically, I have been trying to thank twa_priv for his excellent Kindle Fire JB build, which I have been using fr the last week or so. I cannot find a thank button. I do not have permission to post in the thread; (which I do not have any intention of doing, anyway, unless I have a specific question or error to report) but, does that mean I do not have permission to thank? Do I need to spam away 9 more posts to have the right to thank someone? I read that there should be a picture of a flower (or, at least, there would be on Tapatalk, which I am not using), but don't see anything of the sort using Chrome on Ubuntu.
Thank you in advance.

That's exactly the information I was looking for. The link was helpful, too. You may have noticed that I gave a disclaimer to my post. I have been using this forum for thirteen months without ever having posted anything. I felt like a total jerk for even having had to create a thread for something so trivial. I usually search and easily find the answer to any question, but was not finding anything about this. I am certainly trying not to be obnoxious to anyone. Thanks again!

Thank you all for this post. Had I searched a day or two earlier, it probably would have been a lot harder to find this info.

[GUIDE] How to be a New User (and not a noob)
Trying to be a good new user I searched for how to give thanks and found this thread instead of spaming other threads with "Thanks for posting" Appreciate the clarification on why I couldn't see the thanks button.
Thank YOU!
I actually joined this site just to thank someone who posted an updated app, but wasn't sure how until I saw this.
Feels like a lot of hoops, but hopefully it's worth it.
It's at the bottom-left of the post . I don't have it at first but after my first post , *poof* it's there and available XD
Thanks for the thread as I also want to be able to give people their just due.
Just in addition:
On Tapatalk and XDA app, just long-press the post you want to thank for, then scroll a little bit to the right in the appearing actions menu and select "Thanks" (may be in your system's language).
Enable thanks button by having a post
This is my obligatory first post to enable the thanks button. Figured this was the best thread to do it.

i know this doesn't belong here

I'm just posting it here to get the quickest reply once i get them I'll delete the post.
I know that z2 runs on api1 and api2 is not stable but just wanted to check again is there any progress or a way to switch to API2 I mean we got VoLTE on oreo today out of nowhere so thought why not check this too

I dont know whats the point of violating the rules and manners just because you think you would get a quicker response.

Yeah because this is just simply not possible in the XDA's forum.
You need to shout out to a *Moderator* who removes or moves your thread, or you just wait until somebody reports this thread..
