Yeah need some solid colours other then green lol

This wallpaper gives me a red primary accent colour
https://imgur.com/a/UI650nC
These are the colours tasker gets for me with this wp using the "Get material colours"
https://imgur.com/a/zJYV0kr
it's very washed out on systemui and gboard though, in the range of accent 1 80% lightness
As an alternative, this might be useful

I think the light theme has solid colors but the dark theme doesn't

The theming imo sucks. I can see theming the accent color but changing the hue of the grays on the screen is ridiculous.

I agree 100%. The weird thing is on my Poco F3's running any Android 12 custom rom I can use Substratum and it will theme everything properly including the toggles but on the P6 Pro the apps theme but the UI doesn't.

Samsung Focus Spotted Running Mango?

Hey guys I just got a great tip from an anonymous email. Picture of a Samsung Focus possibly running Mango.

Happy April Fools Day!
April Fails
that pic is out of focus.
my question is...what theme are they using? I have a focus and theres no blue that looks that dark on my screen (and there was a before pic too)
did they do the hack to set custom colors?
speaking of which, a full color wheel for custom accent colors is something I hope MS adds

After having custom colours, you start to realise why MS hasn't added this.
Only certain colours work well with the tiles with the white text, anything too light and the text can't be read, anything too dark and the theme text can't be viewed on the dark background like on the volume display.
Sure you could change tile fonts to black but that looks unprofessional with the black background and white text everywhere else.

true...I didn't think about that. But at the very least, I hope they add more options. There are several options but only a handful that I find I like...there are certainly more colors that would work

Trigger dark theme without dark wallpaper

I was wondering if there is any way to trigger the dark theme in the launcher and notification shade without having a dark wallpaper. I would like it to stay on the dark theme all the time without needing a wallpaper that is dark enough to trigger it.
Wow WTF?!
I didn't event know the quicktoggles and stuff would turn dark when using a dark wallpaper.
Now also searchign for a way to trigger that...

Can I use the factory dark theme with substratum, or do I have to use a theme that someone else created?

Adaptive theme change Android 8.1 [TA1043]

So just recently got the 6.1, been great so far. Just have a question regarding the auto theme change when changing wallpaper.
When changing to a dark wallpaper changes to dark theme overall, however it's showing the sea-green color in brightness slider and volume sliders while showing the blue in app drawer in dark theme. It does show blue overall when it's in light theme state.
Just want to confirm if anyone else has it the same way. If you could post the screenshot with the version number, would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Same here, screenshot with version number of what?

I just meant screenshot showing blue in app drawer and sea green in notification drawer.
By version I meant model number of your 6.1.

Oh, I use Nova Launcher, so the difference is only visible on the brightness slider when the "theme" is dark or white. I like blue color more. For the volume bar I use "Volume slider" app and it change it to Android P style.
My device number is TA-1043

So on your end, when a dark theme's applied, it never shows blue in the brightness slider, right?

Thanks seems like a bug as it does show only blue in light mode. Post a screenshot as well if you can for both light and dark drawer themes.
Also in chrome, it shows white status bar instead of showing he color of the website on status bar.

About the white status bar, I think it was changed by Google in latest Chrome.

Not for chrome but I believe it happened after the 8.1 update, even though it looks good generally but not when a website changes top bar to a color and it still shows white.
Also aware of any way to get blue accent in status bar in dark theme as well, certainly seems like a bug, right?

Probably it is after 8.1, I searched a bit, but I didn't find any information about it.
According this (or any other screenshot for this feature):
https://www.androidpolice.com/2017/...ight-dark-themes-no-longer-exclusive-pixel-2/
it should be blue, so it is probably bug, but if Nokia did it or it is in Android One code...
I don't think it is possible to change it in "normal easy" way, but you can use Substratum + Andromeda + nice dark theme, e.g. I have "aospUI Dark theme", but is not activated.

True, I know it's supposed to be blue as I searched before as well, that's why I posted on here to know if I'm facing some sorta glitch or it's a general thing everyone has on their 6.1.

Aura Glow - Screen Off Memo Ink Color?

Blue Note 9 with yellow pen had a yellow ink color for the screen off memo that was impossible to read (of course, you could turn that off in settings), but what is the screen off memo ink color for Aura Glow? I didn't get to check it when I played with it on demo mode at the store. Thanks in advance! :good:
it's a blueish color, similar to the color of the spen

Thanks, I was hoping that wouldn't be the case considering blue ink on a black screen is just as bad as the yellow was on a white screen after you open Samsung Notes to view them later....

While the stock color is blue, you can change it to other colors like white, red, etc.

Cool, before you just had the option of making it black inside Samsung Notes through the link I posted above, but this will be helpful in direct sunlight!
You have 5 colour options atm:
Yellow, blue, red, white and green.
After you open a note in Samsung Notes app you can convert the text to a typed format with these colours respectively applied.
