Question AR/VR - Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3

What is the best AR or VR headset for this phone?

I don't think we really have any options. Phones were a great vehicle to introduce VR to the masses, but the tech is much more affordable now, and standalone headsets aren't too expensive. I don't think there's much interest or incentive for hardware manufacturers to focus attention and resources on picking up where Gear VR left off.

MetaWatch Strata

For those who haven't seen it yet, MetaWatch is releasing a commercial version in the very near future. You can buy into the project on KickStarter, similar to the Pebble:

MetaWatch has been shipping a really nice watch for a while now. In fact they have three models (Original Digital, Analog, Updated digital (available in white and black) but they are technically developer models, not really intended for prime time, normal consumer use. The Strata WILL be a consumer model. It's designed as a sports watch, so the colors are a little "splashy" in my opinion, but still a nice looking watch.
I've been using one of the updated digital models for a couple of months now and I really love it. They have some very creative people who are developing for it and putting out some interesting updates to it. That's reason one that I bought mine.
Reason two is that the MetaWatch people came from Fossil. They aren't computer guys who decided to build a watch. Rather they are watch and computer guys building a smart watch. They history with watches makes me more confident they'll get the watch part right.
Finally, I think MetaWatch gets it right in terms of their philosophy. Many of the recent offerings I've seen seemed to be designed as a stand alone units that happen to also happen to connect with a phone. Some of them have Wifi, GPS, even MP3 playback and headphone jacks. Some even run a version of Android on them. For me, personally, I don't want another device that I have to update software on, or that duplicates many of the functions I already have on my phone. I want a smart watch that works as an auxiliary display. Giving me relevant information, at a glance, without needing to mess around with menus. The MetaWatch does this really, really well.
Anyway, long story short... check out the watch. I think you'll like it.
That looks really good. I'll stick with the Pebble I only had to kick in $99 for, though, because of price.
Well, they were late in getting things shipped out, but the Strata is now finally shipping out to backers. You can also buy it now and should have it in time for Christmas...

All you need to know about a good headset

Deepoon All-in-One VR Headset Review: Probably the best VR headset as of now.
Choices are so many, expensive and cheap, high quality and low quality, how to make a right choice is really difficult. Our this writing can only help to some extent with this. Hereby we will show you what a VR product Deepoon All-in-One VR Headset is, and if it is worth a try.
This is a revolutionary product and as I see the solid build quality at first sight of Deepoon All-in-One VR Headset, and when I touch my hands on it, it tells me it is really solid and sturdy. The first sight on Deepoon All-in-One VR Headset, it looks a little bigger than those other VR headsets I experienced.
Deepoon All-in-One VR Headset powers Samsung Exynos 7420 Octa Core CPU clocked and [email protected] GPU. It equips a 2K Samsung AMOLED display of 2560*1440 pixel, and houses a battery of 3000 mAh. Such a battery should make long battery life.
When I first get in the virtual world created by Deepoon VR Headet, it takes me into a big shiny glass room with chairs, tables and tea set. As VR headset is something worn on head. And something worn on head is also different from something worn around hand wrist, such as smartwatch.
When testing Mummy Hunters, Deepoon locks me in the virtual world. The image and scenarios are quite real, I feels like I was moved into the mummy room, and then the mummy runs after me, I have to shoot them by tapping the touchpad on the right side.
Wow!!!gaming, entertainment, handling experience an amazing combo of all the features.for more info you can always go to deepoon AL in one vr headset.

Deepoon VR Headsets are one of the most comfortable
First of all, the Deepoon VR looks little bigger than other VR headsets. The best quality is their design. They made the body sturdy and solid. All in all, the outer design of Deepoon All-in-One VR Headset is still very good. The scroll button provided at the top gives the device a wonderful user experience and can adjust the focus according to user's wish. Such a battery should make long battery life. As VR headset is something worn on head. And something worn on head is also different from something worn around hand wrist, such as smartwatch. Head is an organism that hosts brain, eyes, nose, ears, mouth, it is super sensitive to those things worn on it. So I think it is a must to take the wearing experiences out as a standalone section.

Best vr headset?

What vr headset have you tried? Which one is the most comfortable? And which one fits the phone best?
Two things, #1 The OnePlus 3 isn't the best VR experience. The Full HD screen is sharp enough for your naked eye that you probably couldn't perceive the benefit of QHD. But in a VR headset its a different story, as they use magnifying lenses. The broad pixel zoom doesn't make for a great experience.
#2 Don't bother with the novelty, because the novelty is a broken experience, and doesn't represent what true VR experience is like. True VR gear costs hundreds of dollars for good reason. But on Android, its not full VR, its a gimmick. If you want to test a gimmick, you can pickup some chinese ones for $15-$20, because I guarantee you, even at $20, you're going to feel cheated, but you'd feel even worse if you bought a much more expensive set. Unless you're willing to commit to the $300-400+ VR gear, you're not going to get a very good experience anywhere.
Depends on what you are using it for. I use mine for media saved on my NAS. I'm using the VR Gear 2 release and it is definitely fine, not as good as my S7E with it but it works using BubbleUPNP and VAR'S VR great.
Tried a Leelbox as well and that is being returned. I expect they will add Daydream support down the line as that should be achievable by code.
I've got the OnePlus ANT VR headset that OP have always during promotion of OP3, and one DOMO Version 5(I think).
Both are good but both don't have any magnetic or touch control built in.Most apps usually have the "gaze to select" option so it doesn't bother me.
The experience is fluid but not that sharp, but it is very much viewable nonetheless.
I use it occasionally for some VR apps on store like Titans of space etc, and for some VR video content (¬‿¬) you know and it serves the purpose well.
Ordered MI VR Play today at flash sale....will give feedback once i recieve it
I might go for the Google daydream once we have 7 and there is a mod going about to enable daydream. I like how comfortable it looks and the little air controller is neat. Be a gimmick but fun little toy.
I put my vote on the cheap and nice Bobo Z4 vr headset, plus for having earphones built in and a button and volume wheel directly on the vr headset which allows you to control the vr experience without any external controller. Also it cost only about 20 bucks, so it's practically a steal, and available in two color styles.

bobobobo
+1 for bobo vr but gear vr 2017 controller is a big plus , but its five times more expensive
The new Google Daydream compatible motion controller bundled with Bobovr Z5 actually works quite well.

Google Daydream V2 would be your best bet.

[DISCUSSION] Physical watch versus Smart watch...

What do you think of the physical watch over a smart watch idea?
I think it would be fine if the physical part would be transparent, for example when watching emails it would be completly transparent but normally there would be a led lighting it up
I like the idea of an analog watch with some smart watch features, the reliability of analog would go great with some basic use-cases of digital. Like, a watch that sends text messages? A watch that makes calls? What's the point when you have a phone in your pocket.
For privacy, I prefer analog versions of as much things as I can. Too many companies tracking everything you do on digital stuff.

To me, this sounds like strapping your car behind some horses. I personally think it's not such a catchy idea, .... but to each his own!

Doesn't Sound like a bad idea to me!
Smart Watch is better
The thing we wear on our wrists is getting a new life, and that is tech. With touchscreen and sensors, watches are becoming "smartwatches."
We're seeing an era in which everything wants to be improvised with technology. But how do these relatively new gadgets stand against the giants which has built their fame for ages?
We humans see tech a solution to a problem. When we have no way to communicate, we create telephones.
When we need communication mobile, we create smaller devices. When we need portable computing machines, we develop smaller computers we can hold on our palms. Technologies were known to create something based on our needs; it fixes things and eases the way we interact with our world.
But tech isn't stopping there. It's also moving into an industry we know thrives and survives well even without them. Techs are getting into your wardrobe; they're coming as part of your daily clothing. In short, they want to be inseparable from humans.
Apple Watch
With tech getting on our wrists, Apple has it with the Apple Watch, Samsung has it and Pebble also.
More contenders are up and against each other for the market that is once dominated with the likes of Swiss watchmakers. But how do these gadgets affect the industry? They certainly caught a lot of headlines, and they're all up against those old-fashioned watchmakers that made the value of a "watch" at stake.
Apple and others have taken a long time before having the proper time for the proper technology, and the vision to being their products to the market.
What we have on our wrists, previously, were worn by millions; they show bits of time, date and some others. Tech makers are fond on putting more things than necessary, but this time, they made another successful debut.
In the age of information, tech companies are putting more and more information. Smartwatches put a lot more things on your wrist. And the possibility is that there will be more things than you ever need on a device strapped tightly on your wrists.
Will these smartwatches be a replacement to the old-fashioned handmade state-of-the-art pile of cogs and gears? No. The traditional market will always have its own fans because they never want to purely put information on the wrist.
They all move in a different market.
Mohit Bansal Chandigarh says Smart Watches are Better Than Physical Watches
Mohit Bansal Chandigarh says Smart Watches are better as they offer loads of features which are helpful in our daily routine. Some of the features are activity and fitness tracking, heart rate monitoring, GPS, calorie tracking, Barometer, Sedentary Reminder, and Sleep Monitoring.

Very true. Absolutely agree.
Omega Seamaster / Longines Conquest / TAG / Rolex are statements in their own right - not just for blind technology. Hey, maybe we are so engrossed with tech that we fail to see that some may NOT want a beeper on their wrist for every notification that comes in/even if customized.
There's something called too much of it.
Hii every one,
Today's time where everyone, keep moving to the modern world here to stay fit is every one 1st priority. But due to unorganized schedule create a lot of health issues. So here is a new smartwatch which helps everyone to keep count everything. As I am working one, and not have enough time to measure my working hours and heart rate. Once I was just browsing in net, and I found bestviewreviews site, there I find lots of option and multiple varieties. And then order smart watch from there. And you will not believe, from the last 5 years, I am using the same smartwatch. It is nice, perfect in counts my pedometers and helps me to control my heart rates too.
Does not look good Sound I think it's a bad Idea.... !!! You have to again focus on it.

i think its a good idea but i think smart watch is better and it provides a lot of features.

Question OnePlus Buds Pro - worth the price

Hi guys,
I am going to buy wireless earphones. I am OnePlus 9 pro user with A12. In that case is it worth buying OnePlus Buds Pro? It supports high quality audio codec on A12, so in theory it should perform great. Do you guys have some experience in that matter? Can you compare buds pro to other manufacturers in similar (or lower) price?
I am asking here, cause I am interested in best performance for my 9 pro.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Buslova said:
I bought the new pro's. They ARE overpriced and the touch controls are finicky however the audio sounds better than the Samsung buds+ and some Anker ones I had. The call quality is much better on the buds pro than others I've tried as well. The ANC works pretty well but I feel that the "transparency" mode isn't as strong as Samsung's "ambient" mode which I use at work a lot. It's nice that the software for them are built into OOS' BT area also. 1+ recently had them on sale for $119 ($30 off) already.
Hopefully they push out a new firmware soon to address some of the issues. Mainly the touch controls on the stems are "touch and go" (pun intended) and there are occasional issues with the buds not thinking they're fully inserted in your (or maybe just mine) ears so they turn ANC off. I'm also hoping Comply will make tips for them soon. I have some of their all purpose tips and then don't get the "insert your earbuds" for ANC error however the all purpose Comply tips don't fully fit in the case and eventually the lid tears them since they're a tad too big.
My left Samsung ear bud's volume had been decreasing to the point that it was almost dead so I needed a pair and decided to give 1+ a shot. They're good but not $150 good IMO. At that price point they have too much competition.
