M51 Downgrade - Samsung Galaxy M51 Questions & Answers

Please I want to downgrade M51 Android 11 binary 3 to Android 10 binary 1 or 2
I tried too many ways but nothing worked
Is that Possible ?

any solutions !!!

... not possible !
U cant DOWNGRADE from 11 to 10 !

if your phone had android 10 when you bought it and you upgraded it later to android 11 then you can downgrade it. If it were android 11 at the time of purchase then you cannot do anything.
You will need to download correct android 10 image and then flash it via Odin. Of course you will loose all the data ( you can back it up partly by using Migrate apk) bla bla bla.

How to downgrade to kitkat or lollipop from any higher android operating system

Hi Guys,
I am back with another thread for people who want to downgrade their Android ROM for different reasons from any higher android version, like some of you getting problem with new O.S, some of you might not like the new O.S and as in my case my new o.s marshmallow got crashed/currupted.
As in my case when my new updated O.S 6.0 Marshmallow got crashed, then no way was left to me but to reinstall 6.0 M on my phone, but as stock ROM of marshmalow for HTC Desire 816 dual sim A5_dwg indian version was not available on any portal online, so i need to rollback to any lower version android like kitkat or lollipop.
As you guys must know that if your phone is running on higher android O.S then it doesn't matter whether its corrupted or showing errors, you can't rollback/downgrade to any lower version android.
For finding way to get out of this problem, i am sharing some steps which i followed to rollback my phone to lower android version.
Step 1: First of all please make ready your computer by installing ADB drivers, fastboot utility and drivers for your phone.
Step 2: As i have already made clear that you can't roll back to lower android version from higher one so for doing that you need to unlock your phone's bootloader , ROOT your phone by following this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2775801 and install any custom recovery available like CWM or TWRP, i personally prefer TWRP.
IMPORTANT Note: For users who have rooted and un-rooted their phones in past, updated stock ROM to any new stock version and already having Unlock_code.bin file on their e-mail, don't try to use that file now again for unlocking your phones bootloader as it will not work, you need regenerate that unlock_code.bin file from HTC website because with updated stock ROM, code for unlocking bootloader also changes.
Step 3: Once you are done with Rooting and installing custom recovery and Super user app. now it's time to install any custom ROM like cynogenmod or any other custom rom available for you phone. For downloading and installing CM 13 follow links given https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=a5dwg
https://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_a5dwg
Step 4: Once you are done with installing custom ROM CM 13 on your phone now you can start procedure to Un-Root your phone, install stock recovery and flash any lower android version stock ROM on your phone.
for unrooting and rolling back to stock rom you can follow my thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-816/help/how-to-unroot-roll-to-stock-htc-desire-t3487894
and
http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-816/help/guide-how-to-flash-stock-recovery-ruu-t3308502
Wollah....... you are now ready with lower android version ROM on your phone and now you can update your phone O.S with OTA updates released by your phones manufacturer.

OTA update problem in Redmi note 8 pro

My phone is Chinese variant running miui 11 Android 9 and i installed the anti brick from the mega thread. Now i have an Android 10 update and i downloaded the update for 3 times but Everytime it says update.zip is corrupted during update process. I also tried with choose update package to update manually but same results. How can i overcome this problem?
This thread?
Not sure, since it's pretty long ago that i used to flash custom recovery's and roms, but if you have TWRP as your recovery i don think you're able to flash official firmware. Also read something in that thread about Android 10 and Anti Brick not going along very well. My best guess is; get rid of TWRP and Anti Brick by flashing the correct official firmware for your device via Fastboot.
Try and find a very very VERY clear howto. Lots of reading and caution = not bricking your device.

Question Revert to android 10 from Android 11

My Galaxy A22 4G(Indian version) is on official android 11 stock rom. I observed that there is no quick view option to cast phone screen to TV via WiFi or usbc2hdmi cable which I remember was available earlier (probably in Android 10). So I want to revert back to official Android 10 without causing the Knox to change since my company apps like mail etc will not work. Or if there is a way to add the quick view option(or similar app to cast phone screen to TV via usbc2hdmi cable and wifi) in android 11 without rooting or custom rom then that is also fine. Kindly help. Thanks
wi fi
Thanks. But unfortunately one of my TV doesnt have WiFi. So need to use usbc2hdmi cable for that. Any suggestions?
So just reiterating the original question
If I revert back my Galaxy A22 4G(Indian version) to official Android 10 from android 11 will it cause the Knox to change? Since my company apps like mail etc will not work if it finds out that the phone has been modded.
Well, it depends on the modifications you can make to your phone. Let's say that if you unlock the Bootloader to want to do some modification of the phone, then the Knox state would change and you would lose the warranty of the phone. Return to Android 10 version it is considered a modification of the phone system, but not as serious or experienced as wanting to root the phone. It also depends if the version is official and original from Samsung since it his official firmware.
I mean if you only unlock the Bootloader, it changes the state of Knox. And to return to the Android 10 version does not require the unlocked bootloader, But confirm that this version exists to flash it with Odin

Question Downgrade to Android 11 on SM-F926U1?

I currently have an Unlocked Z Fold3 purchased directly through the Samsung US site.
Model: SM-F926U1
Baseband version: F926U1UEU1CVC5
I would like to downgrade to Android 11 to see if it resolves the no service issues with T Mobile the update caused. Does anyone know if this is possible?

I thought I needed an unlocked bootloader for this? If its that easy is there a way to prevent getting the update to 12?
No, Odin flashes the Android firmware.
Unlocking the bootloader gives the ability to install TWRP, custom ROMs, and delve into the system folder easily. Odin flashes firmware. However, once you update a bootloader, you cannot roll that back...if I remember correctly.
was the bootloader updated in the Android 12 update? if it was that means flashing Android 12 really wouldn't change anything or may not even be possible?

Downgrading firmware on SM-A720S

Hey, guys! This is my first time posting, so I apologize if my post is missing some key details or isn't of quality in some other way.
I am currently looking into installing LineageOS onto my Samsung Galaxy A7 (SM-A720S); on the LineageOS installation documentation, it said to make sure that my device was running Android Oreo (Android 8.0). Since my device had Android Pie (Android 9.0) installed, I downloaded the Android 8.0 stock ROM for my device and region from SamMobile, and I also downloaded Odin v3.14.1 (un-patched as I am using a ROM for the same region) from the XDA forums.
Furthermore, I turned on developer settings on my phone and enabled OEM unlocking and USB debugging. Attempting to flash Android 8.0 onto my device resulted in the following error message:
SW Rev. Check Fail (Bootloader) Device: 5 Binary: 3
Click to collapse
From poking around in the forums, I learnt that this means there is a mismatch between the bootloader version and the binary I am trying to flash. Is there any way to either downgrade the bootloader in order to be able to flash Android 8.0 or is there some way to trick the device/odin into thinking that the Android 8.0 has a binary of 5?
I really want to try LineageOS. so I would appreciate any advice on how to work around this issue.
That was a slight oversight on my end, because there aren't many A720S users. Your pie bootloader is fine, you can flash lineage.
