A couple of questions...

Hello.
Having some questions:
1) Can't manage .lnk files in \Windows\Start Menu\Programs - Access denied. How to fix this?
2) Is there any option to make the middle column in start menu on the same horizontal line with the first and last?
3) Is there any option to rearrange the items in the start menu by the finger?
4) Is there any option to show transferring Internet traffic while gprs/edge connection is active?
5) Is there any option to select which connection to use while the phone needs access to the Internet?
6) Is there any option to make thumb items (after the clock (manila)) to show as a list?
7) Is there any option to make pushing the right soft key (with home icon) to minimize the running program, not to close it?
8) Referring to (7), any task bar to manage minimized programs with minimum clicks?
9) None of mobile registry editors can edit values - Access denied. What should I do?
Thanks in advance for answers.
1) Have you tried using ReStart?
2) I could only find this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=502051
3) You can click and hold to move to the top/bottom. Once again, try ReStart.
4) Not sure
5) Start > Settings > Connections > Connections all settings located there.
6) I'm not sure what you are talking about, but Max Manila and Cookies Home Tab give you plenty of customization.
7) Start > Settings > System > Task Manager > "Buttons" tab.
8) You can link the long hold of the endkey, send key, etc to open up task manager. Start > settings > personal > buttons.
9) What software have you tried? PHM reg edit is a popular one.
1) This one showthread.php?t=481379 ?
2) Yes, thanks!
3) ReStart haven't tried yet
4) -
5) Yes, I know about this menu, but I need something like in symbian phones - each time any app wants connect to the Internet, pops up new window with available connections - wi-fi spots, dial up profiles, etc...
6)
7) No "Task Manager" in System (P.S. Still don't know why two different links to settings have the same name.).
8) Start > settings > personal > buttons - no such option in personal present...
9) This program runs directly on PPC, any programs which works via activesync reports Access Denied..
Max Manila 2.5 - v3.0 (beta).cab - installed on phone. May be I've missed something?
1 & 3) Yes that one
4) http://spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/wirelessmonitor/
5) I haven't seen anything like this.
7) Start > System is not the same as Start > settings > System. Either way, you can get to your task manager by clicking the wrench button on the drop down task manager. then click the buttons tab on the bottom and define your settings.
8) I think advanced config 3.3 can do this as well (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=418151). HERE is different style keyboard remapper to remap all keys (including home and back).
9) Never tried to run a Reg Edit through active sync connection. I just use PHM RegEdit or SKTools Registry Editor (SK Tools only shows 6 options unless you pay though). Both can edit and add values, keys, dwords, etc.
Still can't find any wrench button in taskmanager. Are you talking about original taskman, which ships with the WM 6.5?
---------------------------
Installed Touch X Taskmanager.cab -adds the missing taskmanager(top right corner) - now it is showing.
Back to connection monitoring...
I can't believe, that there is no such tool:
For example, I use Opera.
There are two Internet gates available for use - 3G and Wi-fi.
Opera starts....and I don't know which gate is being used...
How is on standard cell phones or symbian based smart phones:
when an application wants access Internet, a small window with available gates appears.. and you choose which one to use.
I've checked spb's tool, but it doesn't provide the feature described above...
P.S. Is there any program to prevent unlocking the phone if qwerty keyboard slides?

[Q] How to switch from "A" google account to "B" google account in market

[Q] How to switch from "A" google account to "B" google account in market
hi guys
i want to switch google account for market, because a got chceckout in the second account and i want to buy some things,
is there any way without factory reset?
i dont know maybe some special app?
thanks
I had the exact same problem and couldn't find any way other than factor resetting the phone
Have you tried clearing all Google account data, and clearing the Market data? Might that help?
yes i tried, it erased all my installed apps list from market but no query about login ... always i was logged in with my "old" account
You could try this :
1.Go to "Settings" - > "Applications" - > "Manage applications" -> "Downloaded" - > try to find out "Market" app and open it - > press "Force stop" , "Clear data" , "Clear cache" , "Uninstall updates"
2.Go to "settings" - > "Accounts & Sync" - >press "Add Account" - > click on "Google" - > press "Next" - > press either "Create Account" or "Sign in" (If you have already made your new google account) - > Log with your new account
3.Open Market app , it would automatically install the latest update and I guess it would ask you to log with your google account , then you might be able to log in with your desired one .
If that doesn't work , you could try this :
1. Go to application list - > start an app called "setup" - > On the botton of your screen would appear 7 empty dots , by each pressing of the button "Next" one of the points would become green in color -> Go to the 6th section , which is called "Set up account" -> Press "Other mail accounts " - > Fill in your new google acount -> Then you might be able to log in with it in Android Market

What personal tweaks or settings do you apply after a fresh install?

I was hoping some members can chime in and list the things they do after a fresh install, such as settings, apps, fav mods, hacks or speed tweaks.
Here's some of the things I typically do after a fresh install...
In Settings > Buttons, change around the way the menu and home buttons work. This option is available on a CyanogenMod ROM.
In Settings > Developer Options, select the Advanced Reboot option so options appear in the power menu for rebooting into recovery or bootloader. This option is available on a CyanogenMod ROM.
In Settings > Developer Options, make sure USB debugging option is checked.
In Settings > Security, make sure Unknown sources is checked, so I can install apps other than PlayStore apps.
In Settings > Storage > USB computer connection, enable MTP option
Install F-Droid for Free and Open Source Software available to Android
Install Adaway, which is available on F-Droid
Install Nova Launcher

[Workaround] Galaxy tab 3 t217s: Enabling diag/modem mode WITHOUT dialer or shortcuts

I posted this as a reply on another thread, but as hard as it was for me a figure out a workaround for diag mode that doesn't involve the dialer codes, or trying to force the hidden menus with shortcut apps. If you don't have a dialer (Not included in the factory reset, for some odd reason...) there is seemingly NO WAY to get diag/modem mode actually working, and connecting to DFS or CDMA tool.
For some reason, I factory reset my tab, and it allowed me to add root perms during the reset, but now I have no phone or dialer app, and even if I install the official google dialer.apk it won't register the special codes for diag/modem. I tried anycut, and the quickshortcut guy, and when I hit any of the shortcuts it'll tell me "application not found." So I'm unable to activate diag/ modem mode through the gui...
BUT i found a script for an LG phone, that actually works to enable diag/modem mode on the tab 3 (t217s).
Download Smanager (script manager) from the play store.
Make sure you have root access (option when you factory reset, poot, towelroot... etc...)
PHP:
#!/system/bin/sh
stop adbd
echo 0 > /sys/class/android_usb/android0/enable
echo 1004 > /sys/class/android_usb/android0/idVendor
echo 631B > /sys/class/android_usb/android0/idProduct
echo 239 > /sys/class/android_usb/android0/bDeviceClass
echo 2 > /sys/class/android_usb/android0/bDeviceSubClass
echo 1 > /sys/class/android_usb/android0/bDeviceProtocol
echo tty > /sys/class/android_usb/android0/f_acm/acm_transports
echo diag,diag_mdm > /sys/class/android_usb/android0/f_diag/clients
echo acm,diag,mtp,adb > /sys/class/android_usb/android0/functions
echo 1 > /sys/class/android_usb/android0/enable
start adbd
Create a new script with this, and make SURE YOU CLICK "SU" when you save to run the script with root access. It will setup modem/diag mode, but it will require the LG drivers, because it is expecting that venid/devid.
You can get them here if you don't have them.
cdmatool .com, it's the "LG Electronics driver.zip" package.
(It won't let me post an actual link because I'm a new member)
After I ran the script, I didn't need to even unplug/plug the tablet in order for it to connect to diag mode.
NOTE:
You could change these two lines to pertain to drivers that are more compatible with the hardware in the galaxy tab 3, but it seems to work fine regardless.
echo 1004 > /sys/class/android_usb/android0/idVendor
echo 631B > /sys/class/android_usb/android0/idProduct
I guess let us know if you try changing the vendor/devid to a different, more applicable set of drivers. If it seems to have better functionality, I'd like to know. This script with the LG drivers works for everything I've tried in DFS/CDMA ws, so if anyone encounters problems (presumably from the different drivers) please let me know.
Now, get out there and flash some tabs!! And please let me know what other carriers you can flash to. I'm curious if it's possible to switch to another CDMA network and simply disable to RIMM/SIM card.

ok Google not available on HTC 10 stock nougat?

Google app - > ok Google => no go
+
Google app - > settings - > voice - > ok Google detection is on, but there is no way to delete or retrain
+
Google app - > settings - > voice - > from any screen turned on - > get started - > listening is on forever, no matter how many "ok Google" I try
Is this broken on HTC 10 nougat (7.0 - 2.28.617.8)?
Edit: thx for replies. Very odd - all rights are there, but I was only able to configure it, eventually, with the headset, not the built-in microphone. Once configured, the microphone started working as well.

I'm on (7.0 - 2.28.617.8) and OK Google is working just fine for me. So I know it's not broken in general.

Mine works fine.
Check to see if Google app has the right permissions including microphone access.
Try clearing the google app data.
Try reinstalling/updating your app.
Try to install Google Now Launcher and see what happens.
