Mi 10t 5g - lack of updates since 2020 - Xiaomi Mi 10T / 10T Pro Questions & Answers

I recently got this phone, I like it, but I'm astonished that it seems that I'm unable to update it. I tried the standard OTA update, i tried updating by downloading the most recent official ROMs and nothing, i get always the same message: "Can't verify update - Sorry flash to this stable version is not allowed."
I was only able to update (by package) from the rom 12.0.18 to the rom 12.0.19, which has the security patch from 12.2020.
I tried to switch regions too and nothing.
Do i really have to unlock the bootloader on a new phone or am i doing something really wrong? How come most people are already on 12.5 and android 11 while I'm stuck on 10?

I had this same problem as you. I solved it by sending my phone for guarantee. I think they did as you wrote - so probably unlock bootloader and flash (and blocking during flashing). There is no other solution for this problem.
Maybe with MIUI 13 everything will be working fine (for MIUI 12 and 12.5)? I hope so.

Hi,
from my opinion, you can flash the latest version, without problem.
Just try the followings:
Settings\About the phone\MIUI version\
click on the MIUI logo 3-4 times, than you will get "extended" menu...
on the right upper corner, the "dots" = menu\select the update package...
look aroung the follong site:
Xiaomi Firmware Updater
The ultimate script that provides firmware packages for Xiaomi devices.
xiaomifirmwareupdater.com
BE SURE, select the correct version and download the full image for you phone... copy your phone, and select it with the update manager......

Updates form A10 to A11 are suspended by Xiaomi. You'll need to unlock bootloader and flash latest version and you can lock it while flashing.

Same problem here..did you solved?

Instead of waiting for the phone to get the staged update can we just flash the update.zip and other related update zips with TWRP?

No "Repartitioning/etc" needed. If the L24 is just like the L34 (which I believe it is), it's already partitioned. Do a google search for how to view android partition table and you can verify it.

I got it to finish the update. Not sure which one of the two changes I made that made it work, but I will summarize.
I used the twrp install method I have been working on. It uses the same manual method that has been used to flash beta oreo.
But I was shortening the file names (both in the script and the file names in the folder) . This might have been the issue. So I changed the update script(not released yet) to use original file names. And Installed a second time from inside the partial oreo update . Based on previous post about successful updating from oreo beta worked, this might be the key.
This time update finished fully.
No error during flash, Full model name in about phone, face unlock works.

When will ColorOS 7 aka Realme UI be started to rolling out?

I just heard somewhere that because of Covid (CoronaVirus), Realme UI update is being delayed on Realme X. :crying:
Can anyone confirm about the same.
I think april
I am also eagerly waiting for the Realme UI, but I am afraid it won't be coming on FEB month.
However, I've news from my resources that Realme X will be getting one update with security patches and VoWiFi calling function.
End of February
The Realme UI update for the X is to commence rolling out tomorrow (25th), starting with China. The 5 Pro is to begin receiving it later in the week, apparently.
Please don't update to Realme UI (RMX1901_11_C.06) if you had removed the com.oppo.launcher
I had updated without com.oppo.launcher, and now I can't open the recent task list
Anyone can upload the com.oppo.launcher apk? or any solution?
Thank you so much

I got the solution now. Run this command to get back the coloros launcher.
After a reboot, the recnet task list are come back
Code:
>adb shell cmd package install-existing com.oppo.launcher
Updated yesterday to the Realme UI. Happy that I can finally change the stock launcher.
But I hate the fact I can't still use the voice recognition on any assistant, like Alexa or Google Assistant.
Also the phone feels a bit slower, but only time will tell.
In any case there's a way to go back to the previous version without losing all the data?
It has been rolled out but not for all the users.

Question How to upgrade to Oxygen OS 12 Open Beta 3(C36)

Hello everyone, I am using an op9p with unlocked bootloader, and it is running oos 12 open beta2 now. Few days ago, Oneplus published a new update called C36, and I am trying to upgrade to it. However, each time I try to upgrade, I only got an "installation problem. Then I turned to the OxygenOS Updater, but even the update showed a "damaged file". Finally I download a file from the link, and I got a zip called "3a08e6de926493aedc3e04ee8b23476077c5b553.zip", which checksum is just like the pic

The expected md5 checksum in updater is "b121be03d8175bee2da76184a3719211", as you can see, it's different. But its SHA-1 checksum is just exactly equal the file name, so I am not sure about that if I have downloaded the right file now. Also, the local upgrade app can't see this zip.
Is there anyone already upgraded to the OB3? Or somebody can share his upgrade file? Thanks!

Pretty much yes. Unless some one can figures out some solution. I tried flashig stock vbmeta and boot. Still didnt work. This incremental bs is crap. This is probably my last op device...
Download the update.
Download the "Local Update.apk. Run it.
I had a similar problem. From OB1 (rooted) I couldn't get OB2 installed using system update or the local update app. I tried flashing stock boot.img and vbmeta to unroot, but it didn't make any difference. Finally after OB3 came out (I was still on OB1), I reinstalled OB1 full zip using local upgrade app, took the OTA for OB2, then took the OTA for OB3 before rooting again. But now I'm probably stuck like you until the next full update is released (or we have to roll back for stable).

Question Problem with update to version 13.0.3.0

The current version installed on the phone is 13.0.2.0 (RLDEUXM - only SLDEUXM is available on the network). I have had the phone for a week. System application updates work without problems. Unfortunately, ROM updates are not performed. From what I read on the network, the phone should update to 13.0.3.0. I downloaded the file 13.0.3.0.SLDEUXM, but when I try to update manually, I get the message: Sorry, flash to this stable version is not allowed.
I have tried to switch region to Switchland, but it didn't solve the problem.
What procedure should I choose to update the rom?

Change your region in settings/additional settings/region to f.e. Belgium, Germany, Netherlands for update to latest ROM, change back afterwards . .
Additionally, check 'additional updates early' in settings/about phone/MIUI version

Thanks for information. Unfortunately, it didn't solve the problem. Automatic update doesn't find any new updates. I was able to download 13.0.50 pack with Downmi app, but I am not able to install the pack. I get a message: Can't verify update. Can't flash this stable ROM.
Unfortuntaley, region change didn't solve the problem. I have downloaded pack 13.0.5.0 with downmi, but I am not able to install it. I get the mesage: Cant'verify update. Can't flash this stable ROM
Factory reset your phone (no SIM-card), choose 'Belgium' as your region and English United Kingdom as your language at first start, go to settings/about phone/MIUI version, click a few times on the MIUI 13 logo, go to the 3-dot menu/update settings and check 'additional updates early', REBOOT your phone, then connect to wifi en search for the new update (may take a wile at these settings, let it rest). Also go to settings/security status/google play sytem update and update to 1 july 2022.
If that doesn't work, unlock your phone with xiaomi unlock tool and flash latest EEA ROM V13.0.5.0.SLDEUXM with xiaomi flash tool (fastboot ROM is not out yet)

SAM, thank you for your support. When I install incremental package, I get message: Can't verify update. ROM package error. I think that the problem is with my current ROM. It is 13.0.2.RLDEUXM (Android 11). If I had 13.0.2.SLDEUXM (Android 12 I would probably be able to install all next roms.
So, I will have to wait for OTA update. If none arrives in couple of weeks than I will use MiFlash. I supose, I have to unlock bootloader first?
Strange, as there is no EEA V13.0.2.0.RLDEUXM to be found on the XiaomiUpdater Archives. Latest Android R is the (EEA) V13.0.1.0.RLDEUXM an then is goes straight to Android S (EEA) V13.0.2.0.SLDEUXM (did you also tried to update with this one and perhaps start from there?)
To use MiFlash you first have to unlock your phone, then you can flash any EEA Fastboot ROM you want ...

It is preferable to follow the logical sequence, in this case the dates of updates. But you can try the latest directly without risk.
Note that this does not always work 100%.
And why have posted the global version that you will not be able to install.
V13.0.8.0.SKHEUXM or V13.0.6.0.SKHMIXM
You seem to be using a custom ROM. Maybe that's why you aren't receiving updates.
I would suggest you to read about Anti Rollback Protection before you do anything.

Did you read?
no root,bootloader locked.
"miui 12.5.8 designed by pramod phuyal"
it's a theme, that's all.
tap on big "12" (upper left side box) to enter update options.
then tap multiple times on the big "12" to enable more options.
now tap on 3 dots and chose "download last firmware"
this should download latest firmware for your phone (V13.0.8.0.SKHEUXM)

yes i did.
what if it is simply because there is no magisk app and device verified in google play store "about".
hey, what a "theme" even that place changed.
if it's like that.
then download 13.0.8.0 or
download 13.0.7.0 if any, after that 13.0.8.0 if want to update manually in updater by "choose update package" with logical sequence since 13.0.6.0 and below from miui 13 will result "can't verify update"
if want to do it with very "sequence" from the very first miui 13 for poco f3 you can use mi phone assistant reboot to recovery after that you can read here about mi phone assistant work even bootloader locked.
Just flash v13.0.8 ZIP through MIUI Updater
Hi
I utilize an outside screen by means of the USB C port (usb C/HDMI link), it functions as promoted (Samsung Dev X,...)
I would like a USB C port replicator that permits outside screen + Power tablet power supply (I viewed as one, yet it no longer works for the outer screen)
Do you have a model to prescribe to me?
Sucess . I have MIUI 13 but the problem was... MIUI Updater app version. After uninstalling updates it did work fine (OTA).
