Question Is the S21 Fe worth to buy? - Samsung Galaxy S21 FE

I'm planning to buy this S21 Fe which looks cool but are the phone specs worth it!!!

Well it depends. If you are interested in photography and video quality and you live in a region where it comes with the Snapdragon, then yes it may be a good deal. I'm in Europe and we finally have the Snapdragon on it. Plus, the preorder comes with a free set of Buds2 and a Youtube 4 month subscription. If however, you can get the S21 with the Snapdragon and you don't care about having a Hybrid 3x zoom instead of a proper optical zoom then that may be a better deal for you. It's clearly not a bad phone but you need to see if it's a good deal according to your particular interests. I've seen reviewers already bashing it, but again, for Europe it makes sense because we always had Exynos on the S21's, till now.

Damn! I love photography and videography so this could be a good phone for me. They give free buds 2 and a Youtube subscription in Europe if you pre-order this phone, that's why the price is high on the website. Yeah, I have the S20 Fe snapdragon edition so I will be getting the same snapdragon when I buy the S21 Fe but I saw on the Samsung website the rate is so high for me. Also, when I click the buy now option to check the version the page is not loaded as an error, I think the page is not ready yet.

I found that both the S20 FE and S21 FE have the same camera sensors for all cameras, so I'm not sure if it's worth upgrading in your particular case.

The only difference is S21 Fe has Gorilla glass Victus and Snapdragon 888 processor so I think I'll get this phone for the processor!

S21 FE is smaller and more compact than it's predecessor, thinner and packing almost everything. Big plus for me but will wait a bit for price to settle since I will go for 256GB version.
Remember, no SD card support.

I don't need an sd card slot because I backup only particular photos and videos always so the 128GB is enough for me!

I had a hard time chosing between the S22 and S22+, but then I found the S21FE. Which is just in between. Perfect size!

I switched from exynos Note20 Ultra 5G to S21 FE and will never look back . Battery lasts longer despite identic capacity due to SG, performance is better, 4k was useless without 120hz. Love the dimensions, size, cameras.

Buy it. It's a great phone. I moved from a pixel 6. The pixel cannot keep sustained performance. Using it for Uber and lyft and the phone was super hot and the camera and fingerprint stops working. Do not get the Pixel which is what people tend to consider when they want the s21 FE. Buy the S21 FE and be happy bro.

oh, i am so sorry to hear that, it is said it will not need to invite in some stores. you can inquire others.
Right now i have read the news about Oneplus 3 possible specs from the Oneplus fans. According to the meeting with Oneplus fans in India, Pete Lau expressed that they will let the fans say what’s the ideal hardware it will be about Oneplus 3.
During the talk Pete offered the phone with either RAM 4GB and 128GB rom or 6GB RAM, 64GB rom,
Possible OP3 specifications;
Full HD AMOLED screen
Thinner phone size
HDMI connectivity
128 GB internal memory
A 16-megapixel camera
24-hour battery life on full charge
Curved screen like in Samsung Galaxy S6
Stereo speakers in front
Near field communication (NFC)
It’s said Oneplus 3 will be released in July. I hope most of specs are right, especially ROM 128GB. So what do you think of these specs? Will it come with these kind of specs?
they will be happy their fans?
i don't know... i think the specs will be change
seen the same specs appear here:

The invitation system is past.
After some test OnePlus 3 is a big surprise. Finally a high-end phone with a snapdragon and 6GB of RAM. No worries screen calibration.
Some site speaks yellow problem, but its failure would be a qualibrage. I greatly recommend this smartphone
A camera very powerful, despite the limited functionality available currently.
The fingerprint sensor is very responsive compared to competitor phone.
I've had word from oneplus that you need to have the dash charge charger for that feature to work, but they never said whether you need the dash charge cable or not (is it just a standard type-c cable?)
Anyone got any info yet?

Exynos 9825 very disappointing compared to SD855

When you buy the top notch phone that retails more than $1000 you expect to get the best performance. Not only Samsung didn't equipt the Note 10+ with the new SD885+, the new Global version of the phone comes with the Exynos 9825 that lacks in performance against the old SD855. That's not acceptable. What do you think?
The Exynos wins in single core performance and app launch time, they have comparable battery life and the SD wins in multi threaded workloads and GPU. But if you look at the 9820 vs sd855 anandtech review, the gpu is actually almost on par with the SD version and while the 9825 is very slightly overclocked it shouldnt lose this hard. Looks like an optimization issue to me rather than a raw power one. At the end of the day they perform similar in everyday use, but since more people use sd devices than exynos once they will be more optimized for games and such. Dont worry about it too much imo, yes it sucks that we got a worse version globally but its not a huge deal and definitely not a dealbreaker.
I would of thought more people used the Exynos version considering it's pretty much the entire world, while SD is mainly just north america or are samsung's sales outside America really that bad?
Pretty much to be expected as always.
I guess that optimization will improve the 9825 but not sure if it will make it to the SD855 performance. AFAIK Samsung can't use the Exynos chip in the USA because of patent protections so they using SD's. At least they should sell the Exynos version cheaper...
I Think that it's about time I stop buying an exynos note. It performs way worse than the snapdragon variant 3rd year in a row.
For me it is a deal breaker.
A phone asking 1000+ $ and flagged as flagship must have the latest soc, fact.
But....they wouldn't dare putting 855+ in comparison with the exynos9825 that maybe can compete with the almost 2 years old 845 soc. Really a shame.
No upgrading for me, sticking to my note9 and waiting for a proper flagship with flagship specs, means 855+ soc.
I already bought the Note 10+ Exynos before I knew it was inferior to the SD version. But if the next samsung flagship will not fix this, it will be the last Exynos device I'm buying maybe the last Samsung device altogether.

Well, aside from performance, if you are into rooting your device, the SD is pretty much not a choice unless you get the Hong Kong version. AFAIK, the only fully rootable version is the Exynos. I personally, would never consider the locked down version of the SD just based on principle. If I own the device and pay over $1000, I want to be the judge of what I can and can't do to it. It's like buying a Ferrari and being told the insurance company has disabled parts of it and it won't drive more than 60 mph. Weather you actually root or not becomes irrelevant. It's the principle.

I have no issues with the Exynos, it runs smoothly, performance is perfectly acceptable, yes the 855 might be slightly better in certain areas, but I think its marginal.....

In my last 3 phones from Samsung I didn't feel the need to root so that not a deal breaker for me. If you pay for Ferrari you don't want to end up with Maserati

I saw this test, but I didn't see the SD version tested. Also I have no problem to sacrifice some battery time for more performance (within reason).
I backup my opinion with my eperience. 1 day with note 10+ exynos version. Litle bit waze, 1h talk, 7 h youtube, 1/2 4g 1/2 wifi, some 3d attemp, heavy usage. Phenomenal battery. Exynos from s10+ and note 10+ is a win.

New Phone ? S20 Plus Snapdragon version

Hello
First i wanted to get the One Plus 8 Pro, but i read numerous threads of people reporting heat, display, and a lot of other problems so i got that out of my list.
Hows the S20 plus the Snapdragon version ? Any know real issues ?

Have you checked on wondamobile? Its on promotion at the moment
If you need a phone asap the regular s20 Snapdragon can be found for a really good price come cyber monday.. I've had zero issues with it .
I personally prefer the smaller size and the price is great for a really snappy phone. I'm getting around 6.5hrs screen on time as well.
No Root but that hasn't bothered me one bit
Currently updated s20 with exynos is pretty much the same as snapdragon and on daily basis you wont notice any difference, in fact my s20+ exynos version never gave me any reason to complain and at least you have warranty which may not be as easy and straight forward with imported snapdragon
So there are no know problems with the S20/plus

I wouldn't necessarily label these problems but there are issues which you might consider before purchasing the S20 Plus.
The rear cameras aren't flush with the back panel, they protrude. It doesn't look like much in promotional photos but it clashes with the symmetry of the device and won't lay flat. Also at 6.37" x 2.90" it's not what most consider a "pocket phone"' it's a big device which is the trend these days.
There's no 3.5 mm jack, the wired earpiece connection is routed through the charging port which requires an adapter. If you're fine with Bluetooth for audio no big deal but as an audio buff a wired connection is superior.
Only Asian Snapdragon variants offer unlocked bootloaders, if you won't root the device that shouldn't matter. The UI is refined to the point you may not want to bother with root. Plus there are numerous models even within the S20 Plus. If full Call Feature functionality is a top priority then aquire your service provider's device, which in your case would mean a Exynos SoC.
It's an expensive smartphone, there are other options available for hundreds of dollars less that may be suitable for your needs. Overall it's a great device, maybe the best smartphone on the market but not necessarily the best value.
If I was considering a purchase at this time I'd hold off until the S21 is released in January or February. If you do and still prefer the, S20 Plus it will available at an even lower price than today.
Hello, who knows what this acronym means?

Question The screen on S21 FE has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio

More or less all android phones during the past year have used 20:9. For me, who do not like super tall phones it is nice that Samsung chose a slightly wider aspect ratio on this phone (same as iphone). Most tech sites (including gsm-arena list the wrong aspect ratio 20:9, 2400x1080).
Am I the only one who note the 19.5:9 aspect ratio?
Almost all tech sites claim 20:9 and 1080x2400. I have asked several people who own S21 FE to check and they all confirm 1080x2340.
GSM-arena still show 20:9;

Yesterday I was at the local store and grabbed all phones to have a feel about this. I also like wide phones. My current phone, the Mate 10, is 78mm wide! Fantastic! (16:9 screen, like the LG G4 I had before).
Have long waited for something to suit me. But now this S21 FE is not bad at all. In fact, considering the weight and spec I think it looked so good so I ordered one
Did a table here with body ratios in case someone are interested. I think the Iphones have good ratio but they have one big problem, they are Iphones.

Pixel 6 Pro
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra — these photos show how far Samsung is behind Google
The Galaxy S22 Ultra is allergic to the sun
www.tomsguide.com
Shadow detail & color contrast much better on the P6P
On first glance the P6P looks best, but after a while too processed and too heavy on the HDR. The natural photographic nature has been replaced with a video game like processing look more and more as time goes by on Pixel.
Looking back at my pixel 2 photos, they are more natural looking than the p6 ones now.
All you need to do is check out edited RAW files and what the p6 camera is capable of is drowned in a over processing.
My kid has both, he agrees that the Pixel camera is better.

Still people just care about a "good" looking photo. Problem with samsung is that it still take lots of blurry photos
Depends on the review TBH. Both phones are in the top 3. The S22 Ultra is more expensive but has better specs, storage capacity and build quality. It's not made in China which is important to some of us.
I have both and for most things the Pixel camera is just better.
Problem is for everything else on the phone the S22U is better.

And now we have an honest unbiased response.
Both of these flagship phones are seriously flawed. Not a day goes by that I'm not sorry for selling my S20+ in anticipation of the Pro 6 that never came and the S22U that is 2 weeks delayed and counting.
The Samsung shot is way more natural but there is no way you can make a judgment on just one photo. For the majority of the time the Pixel doesn't turn in to an HDR mentalist like it has here and the results are very pleasing.
Then thing is this type of photo is one where I would expect Samsung to be competitive with the Pixel and in this instance I think I do prefer the S22U image, the slightly blown sign and building in the distance do not ruin the photo for me.
It is photos of people and pets where I think the Pixel excels which is probabnly 90%+ of the photos I take on a phone. If I was heading out to take some cityscapes I would not worry which one I took with me TBH. I'd probably take the S22U though as the Pixel on cellular would likely have a dead battery by lunchtime

^^ 100%.
One photo? come on. Both phones are great. can we just be content that phones are this good.
And there's so much more to it, than just one photo captured in one moment of time. It''s not black and white. This is much more complex to just have a blatant statement like that and these types of features have to perform well for billions of people in billions of different environments. all flag ships from 2020-22 do very, very well.
Not anymore sir... After may update camera on pixel isn't so good on sharp
