Question Dual GPS support? - Samsung Galaxy S21 FE

As per title, please use the GPSTest from Google Store and check for L5 or/and E5a CF values. If present it means Samsung S21 FE have Dual GPS support. If you want to know more about Dual GPS support there is a nice read here.

I only got L1, E1, B1 values.

Thx @Randi03
Unfortunately dual or even triple dual gps is unsupported on this model.
Xiaomi even offers triple band GPS on their latest 12 series smartphones.

it would be interesting to know if the feature is just software disabled (reversible) or the device misses a proper antenna to enhance the L5 signal

Dual 4G VoLTE

Like Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 & Redmi Note 5 Pro the real dual 4G VoLTE devices, does the beast of 2017 #OnePlus5T support dual 4G VoLTE it has much n much stronger SoC
Unfortunately no snapdragon 835 doesn't have dual volte. SOC 845 has
Honor View10 also supports dual LTE
So what happens if I have VoLTE enabled for the 1st SIM and I want the second SIM activated too? Settings crash down when I try to activate the 2nd SIM (I'm on OB22 - Pie)

[Q]Dual Band Wi-Fi in stock MIUI Global Rom

The snapdragon 632 chip supports dual band, yet redmi 7’s spec does cite it. On the other hand, the official Q/A for redmi 7 on c.mi.com quotes it supports WiFi a/c - dual band.
I’d like to know from an owner, it does or doesn’t support it (on stock rom, I have no intention of unlocking BL so far)

Sorry, not dual band WiFi on stock ROM, only 2.4GHz.

Mediatek devices don't support Non-Continguous carrier aggregation

Did anyone notice that all mediatek devices/chipsets even the recent G90T, G95, G85, or P-Series etc do not have
Intra-band Non-Contiguous CA (Carrier Aggregation) and
Inter-band Carrier Aggregation in them ?? except for the latest and recently launched Dimensity mediatek series. Most of their devices only have 1 type of Carrier Aggregation, even the latest phones launched with G80, G90T, G95; they only have simple intra-band Contiguous CA type implemented in them. I checked several phones and tested with different operators as well and only one type of Carrier Aggregation implementation is done by mediatek devices while snapdragon has better even on 600-series SOCs, etc.
Isn't this sort of silently being cheated by the mediatek ??. let us just take one SOC... as per mediatek G90T specs on its site it says 3xCA, 4x4 MIMO, 256QAM and speeds upto 1Gbps if you look up the pdf for same G90T series on their product page.
I searched a lot but still couldn't find any info or if anyone is getting other 2 Carrier Aggregation types working for them. But they have started offering all 3 types of CA after Dimensity 5G SOC series. I do understand that not all is offered as per the specs which involves other licensing stuff etc but still this is not right when compared to snapdragon devices. Its sort of like info related to which types of Carrier Aggregation is supported on devices is hid to users and user experiences speed issues related to 4G+ and its related and looking for means to unlock bands or CA types on Software levels which are sort of None for mediatek devices compared to Snapdragon when hardware itself is not support on mediatek.
Can you guys check if your mediatek devices older than dimensity supports Intraband Non-Continuous or inter-band CA ?. using any service mode/code or apps like Netmonster, etc. Do post screenshot if possible.
For those who are not aware or complaining Netmoster doesn't show proper CA info, Netmonster app just shows "LTE-A 2300" for Intraband Contiguous CA (Type 1 CA) along with 4G+ symbol on status bar for 40C;
"LTE-A 2300+2300" will be shown if a Intraband Non-Contiguous (Type 2 CA) is working on device. However this 2nd will not be shown monstly on mediatek devices on non-dimensity devices.
I maintain large database of supported Carrier Aggregation combinations cacombos.com. There you can check different devices combinations support.
Netmonster app is not accurate because it only show connected state and it doesn't always show right. Best way is collect modem log and read it to find supported Carrier Aggregation combinations.
There is also Helio -series modem support non-contiguous CA example: https://cacombos.com/device/CPH1951

While my 3 years old redmi note 8 pro showing 4g+ in exact same place exact same network sim card etc. I have tried messing with Apns and engineering mode settings but everything seems fine. i also checked in net monster app and poco is not combining bands while redmi note 8 is doing it so. i have tried installing other region roms as well but issue is still same.. Any idea what's going on?

Could someone please let me know if Samsung Galaxy M33 5G supports dual 4G VOLTE? For example, can I use two Jio sims simultaneously? Or can I use Jio sim while using 4G on another sim?

there's no name compass sensor, the name sensor for compass is magnetometer. and this phone have that. compass aplication is working perfectly in this phone and this phone also have video stabilization too.

Thanks for info, I asked this question because according to gsmareana, the phone does not have Compass or geo magnetic sensor or magnetometer by which ever name you want to call it.
While according gsmareana F23 has this sensor. So I am weighing in which phone to buy.

Question Is S22 GPS dual band capable?

Hi!
Samsung Galaxy S22 (exynos) has dual band gps support?
GpsTest doesn't show me L5 signal.
I have poor signal, worst than my last OnePlus 8T.
Thank you!
The S22U (exy) has dual band support, the S22 has the same SOC, therefore I would expect it to receive L5. Btw. the Note 10 and S20 exy versions also have dual band support, so it would be strange if Samsung had removed it only on the S22.
Capture with S22 exynos and my Oneplus 8T… Maybe S22 has not able the feature and it’s enabled on S22 ultra?
Have you figured out anything?
Really no dual band?

What kind of problem do you mean? A standard user would not recognize if dual band works or not.

on s22 regular snapdragon, do not see L5 as well
Hm, if Exy and SD are affected, then maybe a hardware antenna for the 2nd frequency is missing?
My S22 Plus (EU version SM-S906B/DS) has L1/L5 as far as I can tell. I noticed in the GPS status app before as it counts the dual band double per satellite (so 2x visibile satellites). I installed the latest Android 13.0/5.0 update before running GPSTest, but I think it already was working like this before.
Sincerely,
Wim

It looks like only the S22 has no dual band. The Plus and Ultra have.
And carrier phase is only supported by the Exynos models and not by the Snapdragon ones.
