Samsung Gallery on OP5T - OnePlus 5T Questions & Answers

Hey Kindly Devs,
I'm looking to install a Samsung Gallery apk on my 5T. What process, if any, is there to get Samsung's apk (found on ApkPure) running successfully on this device? Do I need to edit my build.prop to fool the app into believing I'm an S8? (closest samsung device to OP5T, I think)
I'm Rooted/Magisk/Zygist to run RRemix 8.6.7/V4A, but my google account thinks this phone is a Pixel 5 for some reason. If I'm fooling google without trying, can't I fool a lowly little gallery app?
Is this a thing I can do? Or not actually a thing at all? If it IS a thing, there's an LG app from the V30 I could try...

It's available for 4.4.2 but when one tries to download from playstore on our note II it doesn't show up,in the desktop play store it says incompatible so many of us grabbed the apk and it installs fine.Now where the problem begins is not all users are lucky depending on which 4.4.2 ROM or to be honest not really sure why get FC,but the most common reported problem is the wrench icon for settings when clicked it gives FC (not for me) ,and some of us tried various techniques to get it work i uploaded my /data/data/com.androidGoogleCamera folder on this Thread ,but didn't really help anyone when they copied pasted mine on theirs,so to sum it up i played around with google camera but at least for now it doesn't offer anything more than what our stock samsung camera app offers ,i use stock samsung and lenovo camera the most.

[Help] Lolipop 5.1 Camera change

Hi guys. Ok, I will try to make this as easy as I can.
I just got this phone and I finally got it with a fresh ROM. Now, the camera sucks. I dont like it at all.
I got used to the one on my S3 Mini with custom ROM (PAC-MAN Rom), but now I cannot find it anywhere, or at least, one that will work on my phone.
If Im not mistaken, on the market, its this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=photo.android.hd.camera
Its great, quick pics, auto focus, pics while in video recording... etc etc.
But it has TONS of ads. It sucks balls, because you are taking pics and you get a big ass ad in the middle of the screen, and "recomended apps" on the corner. So, I searched my files and found the ROM I used to have on my S3 Mini, searched for the camera APK and put it on my S3 to install it. It didnt. It wouldnt want to install. Not from the phone, ADB, etc.
So, I installed the one on the market, replaced the apk file with my wanted camera, and opened, for about 2 mins until started to freeze, not take pics and then not opening at all.
So, my question is, is there anyone who has it already installed? Can the market one can be modded to get rid of the ads? Maybe adapt my apk to make it install? Something?
BTW, here is a copy of the camera app I want to make work.

Daydream Compatibility

Ok so I got this phone expecting to be able to install and run daydream apps and games. Looking on the play store aside from the official daydream app none of the other apps appear to be compatible. I could understand if some developers put device/screen restrictions on their apps but I don't see every app being that way. Is there something I'm missing or some change I need to make for the daydream compatibility?
** side note I just double checked and the official daydream app by google says incompatible device as well.

Ok so looking a little closer at the matter it appears as if Google is "automatically" giving daydream certification to most phones without LCD screens. As far as I can tell, however, the IPS screen in the G7 meets all of google's requirements. I wonder if they haven't gotten around to certifying the G7 or if they are hands down declining cert for any phone with an LCD screen. On that note does anyone know of a way without root to get daydream working on "incompatible" phones without root. I have to admit I enjoy root, but with all the manufacturers working to lock down their devices I'm trying to move away from root for the features I'm looking for. Unfortunately that means upgrading my phone more often, but alas that is the goal of the manufacturers.
I've been looking as well. Powerful phone but no good vr app?
I'm stumped on what to do. I tried to return my lg g7 thinq for the Galaxy because I am finding the Galaxy is being excepted with compatible software and yhe lg is getting passed by.

Any way to install Samsung's phone apk to Pixel 3 XL?

I like the Samsung's phone apk, and want it to use on pixel 3 xl.
I downloaded few apk's from apkmirror etc but they didn't work.
Is there any way to make it work?
Most likely not, you would need Samsung's framework installed to be able to use there apps. And installing Samsung framework on a non Samsung phone is something I've never heard of.
Any advice?
Buy a Samsung phone!
As said allready not possible without the Samsung framework. Live with it or buy a Samsung phone.

Installing LG Apps to the Motorola One 5G?

I am transferring from an LG Stylo 5 to a Motorola One 5G and I am very much a fan of the LG Stylo 5's pre-built apps, especially their Gallery and Music apps. The thing is, my Motorola One phone either relies on Google equivalents (Calendar, Gallery (dubbed Photos)) or, heaven forbid, completely lacks an innate app for it (Music). I came to rely on these apps, and these apps and/or non-Google equivalents simply do not exist on the Motorola One.
I did a standard "grab the APK and install it on the new phone" at the request of someone on Reddit, and was told it may not work--it didn't, there is either some incompatibility or some sort of protection to only have the app run on an LG. They then told me to "try XDA to see if LG apps have been ported to other androids.", but didn't specify where on the XDA site that'd even be. Indeed, I don't even know if I searched correctly, as my best search result involves ROMs and makes zero mention of Motorola phones, so I figured a new thread on the phone I'm porting to would make the most sense.
So uh... What do I do? Are those ROMs my best bet? Do I just need to tweak the .APKs in settings? Are there equivalent apps in the Motorola One 5G that are just not showing up in the "All Apps" menu for some reason?
If anyone who's adept at modifying .APK files can somehow mod the apps I want into working on a Motorola One 5G, I can provide my .APKs--they seem to be more up-to-date than whatever most .APK sites offer.
While it may entirely be the case they won't work without rewriting (or worse), are you sure that you got the entirety of the applications?
Split APKs are not your friend... but not hard to catch:
Code:
adb shell pm path com.linkedin.android
package:/data/app/com.linkedin.android-09eLyCiLAFgPJHMwI-AyqA==/base.apk
package:/data/app/com.linkedin.android-09eLyCiLAFgPJHMwI-AyqA==/split_config.arm64_v8a.apk
package:/data/app/com.linkedin.android-09eLyCiLAFgPJHMwI-AyqA==/split_config.en.apk
package:/data/app/com.linkedin.android-09eLyCiLAFgPJHMwI-AyqA==/split_config.xxhdpi.apk
Grab all four. The "arm64_v8a" is processor specific.. older processors may be armeabi-v7a or similar.
If that doesn't work, try adb logcat while/after launching, see if you can figure out WHAT it is crashing on, and maybe someone could help from there
Most LG apps won't work on other phones because they require LG framework to work. These apps don't even work on aosp custom roms on LG phones.
