Huawei Watch 3 vs 2 - Functions from 2 not available in 3 anymore? - Huawei Watch

Hi @ all,
I hope you can help me out.
I own the Huawei Watch 2 and got me the 3 now. In 2 you could synchronize the messages from your Smartphone to the Watch and for instance set WhatsApp messages on "read" or delete E-Mails directly from your E-Mail App. With that you could comfortably delete the messages directly from the Watch off the Manage Notifications Screen from your Smartphone and the corresponding Apps which was a great Feature!
Apparently this is not possible (anymore) in 3 or am I missing something? In 3 you only can "delete" the message from the Watch but not directly from the Smartphone.
Any thoughts on that?

Yes you are right. Actually you just remove the notification.
Maybe in some future updates.

email being deleted automatically

I have discovered that if I leave some emails in the inbox for more than a few days, they all of a sudden disappear. After the first time, I tried keeping some as an experiment and today the ones I had kept from early this week have now gone. And they are not in the Trash folder.
I'm using POP3 not imap so they should be stored locally on the phone.
Any ideas?
When in your inbox press Menu>More>Settings>Send & Receive and then change the Download Options to however long you wish to keep emails for.
Ah! I thought that was for how many emails you wanted to download, not how long you wanted to keep them for. Thanks!
in my phone the emails all of a sudden disappear but I don't see the menus options as described running gingerbread 2.3.6

[Q] Facebook 1.50 push notification

Hi
On Facebook for Android facebook page they announced push notification.
Some of the comments says it works on Desire, and some dont.
I cant see any push notification on my Desire. (Modaco Rom v9)
Can someone confirm that it works or not?
May be being stupid, but where should we see it, any ideas?
apart from chat, I can't see any differences.
Same here. Just chat. And can choose between notification 30 min, 1 hr ..... and never.. No option for push

And btw about chat: I personally never use it, but since this update I noticed, that it goes "online" to "offline" every couple seconds, when im on facebook on my PC. Facebook 1.5, no thanks.
Does that online without the update, FB chat is a waste of time
Running 1.5 and it's fine so may as well update
i always have my chat on web set to offline - I hope this one doesnt keep making me online...
perhaps they'll be a 1.5.1 soon to fix the missing push
Push is chat only, apparently (cause of needing to know when someone replies). Rest is still as before
i get notifications in the notification bar for comments, not sure on likes yet, this is a new feature, once clicked it sends you to the notifications tray in the Facebook app, next time i get one i'll post a screenshot

i beg to differ. Messages, pokes, etc, all are instant now. unlike before where you had to wait half a day to get a message lol.
I did say 'apparently'
I've never has a notification for a poke, only for messages/friend requests
Can't say I've noticed them coming in as soon as the email does but I'll keep an eye out. I was just going on what others have said on other forums
How is your notification settings? 30 min... 1hr??? or on Never? I don't have the "push" option. Do you?
No cause you don't get that option. Push just means that as soon as you get a message/friend request FB will push the notification to your phone. Otherwise it'll continue to sync at its selected time, e.g. Every hour
Tested it.
Still no notification at all.
Startet Facebook, and pressed the home button. But no notification. And I can see on web browser thare are people have comment on my posts.

Did also try to send my self a message to inbox. No notification.!!
Does not get any notification at all. Only when someone try to chat.

I tried it last night after the update with a few friends. All instant
Do you not have it set to notify? I get messages/friend requests but I turned off event invites as I get too many...I get an email and a notification when either arrive

Pokes definitely not working on my phone, and there's no notification option for pokes. Only Messages, friend requests and event invites so you can't get any more unless you have the option to activiate them

Body of Gmail and "Nine" emails not showing after Lollipop upgrade on Nexus 5

Body of Gmail and "Nine" emails not showing after Lollipop upgrade on Nexus 5
I upgraded my Nexus 5 from KitKat to Lollipop (stable dev version) yesterday and after resetting my Moto360, reconnecting etc the body of emails doesn't display anymore. I used to be able to tap and pull up I think but now now double tapping or taping or swiping does not display the body. Worse, email subjects are grouped together into one single notification.
I can still reply to an email (but since I don't know what the body says, I don't do that).
Has anybody experienced this? I first thought it was some level (subject only versus whole email) of notification I had to set but that doesn't seem to be an option.
I guess I'll try a dedicated Wear email program like WearMail for now. Bummer though. Might be a Lollipop problem.
Thanks!
I'm having the same problem, I think.
The individual e-mail cards stack up correctly and everything, but only the subject is displayed for each one.

Need help with notifications please

Hi all,
I have just got my 46mm galaxy watch but i am having trouble with the notification management on the watch.
It's most probably me not using it right as i am used to wear OS but I'm hoping you can help me out.
When i get an email for instance i open it on my galaxy watch... Press the 3 dots on the right hand side and press the bin icon... This clears the notification from my watch but if i open my phone and go into the email app the email is still sat there.
What i am wanting is to completely delete the email from the account when i delete it on my watch not just clear the notification.
Can anyone help me out please?
Thanks in advance.
This is the problem i mentioned in this topic: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...ons--answers/email-app-missing-watch-t3865938
Only if you have Samsung Smartphone you can interactively work with mails. Note that you do not have mail app in the watch ( as I do not have )
You are just working with notifications form your mail app on the phone. You are only clearing notification- not the message.
Mayby someone make a full blown email app in the Galaxy Store - that is the only hope
Got it ?
P.S. I cannot understand stupidity of Samsung software team to make it this way

Hi, thanks for the reply. I am using a Samsung Galaxy note 9. I have the the Samsung email app on the watch and i use that email app on the phone.
On wear OS if i press delete it actually deletes the email from the account but this isn't the case on the Samsung watch it will just remove the notification on the watch / phone but leave the email sat in the account which is a bit poor in my opinion compared to wear OS.
Hopefully someone knows a way to delete the email straight from the notification same as you would on the phone from the pull down notification tray without having to physically go into the email app to do it.

From what I am reading, the access you have on your Galaxy Watch to your non-Samsung device is purely notifications. If it was a Samsung device (This is what I am hearing), you could get a native watch app that allows this but in your current set up, you can only clear the notification, not the email.

Hi. I am using a Samsung galaxy note 9 with the Samsung galaxy watch. I can go into the email app on the watch to delete the email but I want to be able to delete straight from the notification not just clear the notification and still have the email sat in the email account.
Thanks
And so the plot thickens...
I have tried to adapt to the way tizen seems to deal with email notifications and i am now opening the notification and pressing the "open in app" option and then long pressing the email and deleting from there on the watch. A bit of a long way around compared to wear os but OK it will have to do i suppose....
Now i am finding that if i do the method above the email deletes from the account, but the notification will still sit on my phone until i remove it on the phone despite already actually being deleted from the account :crying::crying:.
Who at Samsung thought this was all OK and was a good way of managing email notifications. It is completely broken
Solution found
I found following solution to satisfy author of the topic ( and me either ):
Note: I do not have Mail app on the watch as I do not have Samsung phone - all happens through notifications from Email app on the phone
1. Find and install TypeApp mail client from Play Store
2. Configure client above as you like - it is feature rich and bit messy but once done you will be satisfied
3. Important: in TypeApp: Setting-Notifications- Advanced Notifications ( top of screen ) ENABLE: Extended notifications for Wear & Nougat
4. Enable notification push to watch in Galaxy Wearable phone app
And now: when you receive notification on the Watch, click 3 dots on the right. You will note 2 wastebaskets icons. Touching upper icon deletes email and notification, touching lower icon clears notification from the Watch only
Happy Tuesday
P.S. I do not know how it works with other Emaill apps. Your comments are welcome.

Question Sync WhatsApp Business in contacts app

I use both WhatsApp (WA) and WhatsApp Business (WAB), with two difefrent phone numbers (private and work).
On my Google Pixel and XIAOMI Mi11 I have Google Contacts and for each contact I can see options to call/video-call/chat with either WA or WAB.
On my Fold 3 for each contact I see options to call/video-call/chat ONLY with WA.
Any idea?

I never even knew that was an option until your question here, but mine also only shows WhatsApp and not WhatsApp Business. I only have ever gone into both apps to message people from them, not from the Contacts list on my phone.
Same, but I came from iOS, so using WhatsApp through the contacts app was never possible for me lol.
