How to underclock your GPU / CPU - Samsung Galaxy S20 FE Guides, News, & Discussion

1. Root your phone
2. Install "Franco Kernel Manager" from the Play Store
3. Open it
4. Click on the 3 bars in the bottom right corner
5. Click on Battery life tips
6. Click on Underclock there.
You can change by how much you wanna underclock it by clicking on the settings button in the box.
As far as i know it works with most kernels.

That app is waste. It needs rooting.

Tune your own R G B settings
works on:
dorimanx kernel
bruce2728 kernel
cloudyfa's kernel
and as reported some aosp/cm roms with apropriate kernels.
Please thank to the kernel devs for adding the support
Also tested on some other kernel and settings didn't stick.
Credits: @xanthrax @Slimer777 for hints, informations.
Also, please see Slimer777's guide/thread about right settings.
OLD Changes:
1.0 - initial release
1.1 - added +/- buttons, little bit larger sliders
The app will autoexit on reboot(after profile loading)
The app will also autoexit on app start (you've got 5 seconds to tap anywhere to stop it), it will autoexit only if the profile is set.
To prevent exiting and to set new profile just TAP anywhere (not on controls), anywhere on the interface.
- links are removed, new version doesn't require the app to be installed after applying the settings.

1st of all - thanks...
few u/i suggestions:
1. can you make the sliders bigger (wider)?
2. maybe adding - and + buttons (left/right of the sliders) that change the value by 1 step down or up
3. app opens after reboot, applies the settings and stays open until i close it manually (is this normal or a bug?)
if you need a graphic layout for the app - you know where to find me
Thnx you
Applied this settings and whites are now white.

Recommended Apps and Tips after Root!

Use System App remover (root) tool to remove bloatware off Tmobile phones! Make sure you backup your files and data using titanium backup or your favorite backup app! Lets help the new guys have a better chance at not bricking their phones. And support these developers by buying the full versions of their apps! Remember to be careful! Tips:
Some ways to reduce lag:
Turn ART on. You need to turn on the developer option feature. ART will load apps faster and save battery life. The version on KitKat is in beta, but I havent had any issues.
To turn on developer option:
1. On your Android phone head over to Settings->About Phone.
2. Now scroll down to Software Information and tap.
3. Next, scroll down and tap the Build Number for about 7 times, and a popup message will tell you 1. that Developers Options has been enabled on your Phone.
To Turn ART on:
1. Head to Settings-> Developer Options.
2. Tap on Select Runtime.
3. Select Use ART.
4. The phone will reboot and optimize your programs then you'll be good to go.
Another tip to fix lag:
1. Head to Settings-> Developer Options.
2. Scroll Down to Transition animation scale and tap it.
3. Select Animation scale .5
4. Select Transition animation scale and tap it.
5. Select Animation scale .5.
6. Select Animator duration scale and tap it.
7. Select Animation Scale .5
This Should Help speed things up. Another option is to replace the stock lg launcher. I personally use Nova Launcher Prime(paid version).
This is a link to the free version which is very good.
Nova Launcher:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.launcher&hl=en
How to run any app in dual window:
First you need to have a rooted phone.
download Build Prop Editor
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.apps.build.prop.editor&hl=en
open the app and go to persist.splitwindow.support_all
tap on it and change the value to true, tap save and then reboot. Now you can choose whatever apps you want in dual window.

I know the kernel app takes a few seconds to apply after a reboot but never really watched to see how long.
---------- Post added at 07:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:07 PM ----------
Try this, go into ex manager/apply on boot delay and change it to 10 seconds. This gives everything else time to boot up before ex takes over.

Thats my Personal Profile pretty good in boosting colors in every section
Pls Set Ur Display to saturated before using this Profile to get the best effect
Have you guys been able to resolve black crush and dried blood reds on the natural/boosted calibration? I don't want to use the oversaturated mode.
I've been playing around with values, but can't get the whites to be actually white.
It goes back and forth between yellow and blue hue. Anybody find a good profile yet?

use all the apps in maximum power saving mode?

it is possible with a modification or app to use all the apps in maximum energy saving mode?
Swipe down twice, touch the down-arrow beside 'Power Saving', and select 'Max'". You can customize what 'Max' means.

In my galaxy S5
it was an tool doing that in rooted devices
bit i did not remeber the name

Themes / Apps / Mods (APP)(11, 12, AOSP,MIUI)(1.1) (HOTFIX) LIMIT CHARGING FEATURE FOR F3

Warning :-
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE WHATSOEVER YOU MAY CAUSE TO YOUR DEVICE WHILE USING OR RANDOMLY EXPERIMENTING WITH THIS FIX, DONT TINKER WITH DEVICE IF U DONT KNOW WHAT U R DOING.
Q. WHAT THIS APP IS FOR ?
A. This app provides charging limit feature for f3 on any rom be it aosp or miui. That is battery will be charged till 81% then charging will be turned off.
Q. BENEFITS OF APP?
A. VERY LESS WEAR TO BATTERY RESULTING IN LONG BATTERY LIFE SPAN.
Q.HOW TO DISABLE THE FEATURE?
A. JUST CLICK THE APP IT WILL NOTIFY THAT LIMIT CHARGE IS DISABLED
REQUIREMENT
1. ROOT;
PROCEDURE TO INSTALL
Follow this :-
Install the app and deny all permission to apps they jus require root.
Then jus click the app n u r good to go no anymore worries
Q. HOW THE APP WORKS?
A. IT WORKS BY LIMITING THE PERCENTAGE TO WHICH BATTERY CAN BE CHARGED.
FOR EG - BATTERY IS CHARGED TILL 81% THEN CHARGING IS SWITCHED OFF BY THE APP. (YES, THE CHARGING IS ACTUALLY TURNED OFF , THAT IS TO SAY NO CURRENT GOES TO BATTERY)
Q.How to restore normal charging?
A. The app takes care of that ......if still any prob install "enable normal charge" app from link below n jus click it.

Troubleshooting
1. App not getting lauched at boot by macro
Solution :- manually click app on every boot
Or I can provide solution by Tasker but then ppl don't like tasker
Yeah best thing about root is the charge disable capability.
I've been using the Advanced Charging Controller Magisk Module with the AccA frontend app to limit my charge which has been working flawlessly.
I'm curious if your app is a more streamlined version of that?

I hardly believe that setting up AccA on your phone requires more time than setting up yours. And once it has been set up, it does not require further configuration. So mu question would be that what actually makes your app better than AccA?

No, I don't need to set up any dj's in order for to limit my phone to 80% charge. I get what you are trying to do, but just because it is easier to set up does not mean it is necessarily better than AccA. Try to create something that has not already been done, for example the fingerprint reader only works, when you have already pressed the power button etc.. Since alot of custom roms would need that app.

You should improve your attitude. No one is saying that your app is bad, but creating "clones" of other apps is not going to convince users to stop using well known solutions that were created before your apps. All I am saying is that you should try to create something original, be calm and respectful with others and trust me, you will become a much better developer.
