Pro Mode Takes Two Photos

Has anyone noticed how the Pro mode on H8Pro captures 2 similar photos, 1 in RAW and 1 in jpg, every time you click capture?
Not that it's a problem but the jpg photo looks much better compared to the RAW photo. Anyone else?
First attachment is RAW, second is jpg.
Note that the first attachment is a screenshot of the actual photo because it is too large to upload, but it should still give you an idea hah
It says as you switch to raw mode that both the images will be saved.
RAW pictures gives you a lot more data to improve picture quality even after shooting which is not possible with jpg.
For general user disable RAW from settings

Raw means unprocessed so it lacks quality where jpeg is processed .

Raw photography

Hello,
What is the best camera app to shot in RAW so as I can edit?
Do you know a better raw files than the original?
Thanks
RAW files are direct from the sensor! Any app capable of shooting RAW will give you the same file!
Only difference is if a third-party app let you save the 64MP RAW images from the telephoto sensor
Edit - it appears I may be wrong in this statement as others have outlined below.

Because it's not true what he says. Gcam for example uses a lot of image processing technologies like even before the demosaicing process, that contribute to a better picture. as far as i remember even burst images are melted into the raw picture. That's why you have much better dynamic range and details and noise as in other RAW-Cameras. As long as this is not standardized and enabled via API for all new Phones/Apps, using RAW in Smartphones beside GCAM does not make any sense.
Ok, so for me the RAW from GCAM is way better than the original RAW.... it's not all the same RAW files finally.
The one of the S20 is not really good to me... What do you think ?
Do you think that it will be possible to shot RAW with the Ultra Wide Sensor and the 64mpx? One day...?

Good afternoon! I don't understand how to add a configuration file. Do I need to create these folders on the internal memory and just attach the configuration file to them? On my internal memory, the camera itself created a folder with the name With a capital letter! Can you create a folder in it or do you need to create it yourself with a name with a small letter? I'm confused ... help me please!

No, you can use the folder created by app. Move the xml file in the folder; see the attached image; at the location indicated with the arrow, double-tap to open the option to restore the desired xml. Is that.

Hey! Could you post some pics of the normal cam vs the Gcam/night mode now that you fixed it? I'm looking to buy this phone and if Gcam works decently it'd be better. Oh and also the .xml if that may help any other user. Thanks!

Question GCAM FOR REDMI NOTE 12 TURBO

Hi Guys! Is there any GCam that working for Redmi Note 12 Turbo?
Or any compatible Gcam for Redmi Note 12 Turbo
use AGC8.4 by Bigkaka. And you will need a config for Mi12S ultra(yeah thats weird) to make it working
Using AGC8.4 will still FC when you use the front cam. You can fix it (make front cam stable) by changing the Lens settings of the front cam (System ID = 1). For now, avoid using the front cam. If it FCs, just open the app again and quickly use any rear facing cam or switch to video.

Hi, if you are interested I have a partial config that I hope to complete sometime soon. You should be able to use all camera modules in normal mode. The front cam has portrait mode. You also can shoot 4K 60fps without any issue using the rear main cam.
Just rename the file (jerbau-marble-partial.agc.xml) to have a .agc file extension (remove .xml at the end).
Just let me know if you have any concerns.

Hi @jerbau ,
thx a lot. The configuration works, until now I got no FCs.
But a few concerns.
The main camera looks like it is always some kind of zoomed in comparison to the original camera app even though the selection is set to 1x.
And the second one, the frontcam produces some kind of really wired images when taking a selfie and HDR or HDR+ is activated. It looks almost like some kind of "comic filter" gets put over the pictures .
Is there any chance to sort this out?
This is a more stable config. Please evaluate and check if this works out for you. Remember to rename file extension to .agc
Tested to work on AGC v8.4.

It works!! Thank you. With the last config it's the first gcam that that doesn't FC in my phone but also it works flawlessly, amazing work. Also speaking about the photos they have a lot more detail thant the default miui camera.
Thanks

Hi @jerbau,
many thanks, the configuration looks good
The zoom is gone and frontcam looks way better, even with activated HDR.
Some minor flaw: For me the macro lense wasn't activated. I only had the choice of backcamera and the ultrawide.

Basti

You can enable it through the app settings (lens configuration), but being honest, the macro camera is sort of pointless.

With the old "mi" one, recording video in 4k60 is possible, with yours only 4k30.
Hi guys.
Sharing another config of papaji here (version 6)
Changelog:
Fixed the Watermark
Disabled focus tracking as it becomes buggy and messes up focusing sometimes
Added awb to all lenses (not needed in most cases but you can try enabling at times stock awb is giving a yellow/green tint, it might fix it)
Experimental config (version 7)
Changelog:
Changes mostly in colour and white balance and front camera
Share your feedback. Thanks!
Remember to import these configs after renaming the filename with the extension .agc first.
One small question thou and I'm getting my Gcam from Gcam Hub.
Is it better to use the AGC_8.4.300_V9.7 or use AGC_8.4.300.18_V9.2 ?
