Question GCAM FOR REDMI NOTE 12 TURBO - Xiaomi Poco F5 / Redmi Note 12 Turbo (China)

Hi Guys! Is there any GCam that working for Redmi Note 12 Turbo?

Or any compatible Gcam for Redmi Note 12 Turbo

use AGC8.4 by Bigkaka. And you will need a config for Mi12S ultra(yeah thats weird) to make it working

Using AGC8.4 will still FC when you use the front cam. You can fix it (make front cam stable) by changing the Lens settings of the front cam (System ID = 1). For now, avoid using the front cam. If it FCs, just open the app again and quickly use any rear facing cam or switch to video.

Does this have 4k 60fps video?

AGC8.4.300_V9.2_fix2.apk by BigKaka and jerbau-front_cam_103130.agc config works for me. I tested all 4 lenses and videorecording for maincam (4k60) No fc

I dont know If I'm allow to do so. But @jerbau is also here so maybe he will release. Otherwise you can find the config in the Poco f5 gcam telegram group

Hi, if you are interested I have a partial config that I hope to complete sometime soon. You should be able to use all camera modules in normal mode. The front cam has portrait mode. You also can shoot 4K 60fps without any issue using the rear main cam.
Just rename the file (jerbau-marble-partial.agc.xml) to have a .agc file extension (remove .xml at the end).
Just let me know if you have any concerns.

I've test it, and it's really work. No FC. Thank you very much again and again.

Hi @jerbau ,
thx a lot. The configuration works, until now I got no FCs.
But a few concerns.
The main camera looks like it is always some kind of zoomed in comparison to the original camera app even though the selection is set to 1x.
And the second one, the frontcam produces some kind of really wired images when taking a selfie and HDR or HDR+ is activated. It looks almost like some kind of "comic filter" gets put over the pictures .
Is there any chance to sort this out?

This is a more stable config. Please evaluate and check if this works out for you. Remember to rename file extension to .agc
Tested to work on AGC v8.4.

It works!! Thank you. With the last config it's the first gcam that that doesn't FC in my phone but also it works flawlessly, amazing work. Also speaking about the photos they have a lot more detail thant the default miui camera.
Thanks

Hi @jerbau,
many thanks, the configuration looks good
The zoom is gone and frontcam looks way better, even with activated HDR.
Some minor flaw: For me the macro lense wasn't activated. I only had the choice of backcamera and the ultrawide.
Regards
Basti

You can enable it through the app settings (lens configuration), but being honest, the macro camera is sort of pointless.

your config is fantastic, thanks for your work.
With the old "mi" one, recording video in 4k60 is possible, with yours only 4k30.

Hi guys.
Sharing another config of papaji here (version 6)
Changelog:
Fixed the Watermark
Disabled focus tracking as it becomes buggy and messes up focusing sometimes
Added awb to all lenses (not needed in most cases but you can try enabling at times stock awb is giving a yellow/green tint, it might fix it)
Experimental config (version 7)
Changelog:
Changes mostly in colour and white balance and front camera
Share your feedback. Thanks!
Remember to import these configs after renaming the filename with the extension .agc first.

One small question thou and I'm getting my Gcam from Gcam Hub.
Is it better to use the AGC_8.4.300_V9.7 or use AGC_8.4.300.18_V9.2 ?

[GCam] Arnova Pixel3mod v1 magenta/pink hue

I didn't find a specific thread for this port for A1, so I open a new one.
Whether moderators find this a clone, please delete/fix it as they please.
I am using GCam port by Arnova8G2, Pixel3mod v1 and it works great in every aspect (slow motion included), except front camera has a magenta/pink hue in low light when HDR+ is enabled, even if the specific correction option is active.
Anyone having this issue?

You can do this in download the Camera2 Test app and share the device_info file.
this could help me understand the color use for the front camera.

For the OP: Use latest releases and you won't have any issues.
BTW, Just tested latest Arnova's releases (test apks, both Pixel2 and Pixel3) and I think we finally have AIO camera for Mi A1 that produces great shots in all conditions. Also all the options work flawlessly including the slow motion! Now Slow-mo can work without opening stock camera first and then Google Camera. Personally I like more Pixel2Mod, but both are performing great.
For telephoto lens on completely stock phone we still need to use Stock camera, right? Since Gcam doesn't support it? Or I'm mistaken?

Agreed about the recent Arnova's.
Theres a thread about a module for the telephoto cam. Haven't tried it myself.

I have this issue too, somehow I missed it till now. It occurs on HDR+ off at every photo and HDR+ when taking multiple photos fast. On HDR+ enhanced everything is working fine, but it takes more time to process photos. We are talking about indoor photos with average lightning. Outside on the sun everything works perfect.

I used to have that bug in older versions. Also the opposite one (greenish tint). Sadly, there is no advanced setting to solve it like other devs have implemented.
My favourite version is Serjo87's. Dot issue is present but a lot softer than arnova/bsg/everyoneelse versions. Advanced settings lets adjust colors and noise levels, and also makes brighter pics in poor light conditions than arnova (tested with the older arnova's versions, not that last one).
I hope someday we can have the definitive mod with all the best thing of each dev, compatible with our phone. Meanwhile, I have 4 camera apps installed

Im using it. Mod works PERFECT with cstark's and sipollo's apks. It REALLY uses the second sensor, not faking by zoom (try by coverng one at a time). Only ownside is that using HDR in high bright conditions makes the app crash. If you can live with activating and de-activating HDR depending on light conditions, it gets the job done. The quality that you get in poor light scenes is day and night compared to stock telephoto. Give it a try!!

[Correction]
It supports ZSL..But if i select 6p then no ZSL.

Google Camera is finally here people ??

Yes you read it correct our long wait is over now. Now we too can enjoy the amazing processing of gcam. Everything works like a charm and there is a significant improvement in the quality. I'm sure this will get better as this is obiously an early build.
And it's not the pixel 2 camera but it's the pixel 3 one!..
Here's what works:
*Portrait mode on both front and back cams(only on humans)
*HDR+, HDR+ enhanced
*Panorama (super glitchy for now)
*And pretty much everything else
*Night mode ( slight improvements only)
*Photo Sphere
Here's what doesn't work:
*Live Google lens
At first the images will look dead.So after you install it you need to increase the saturation. Go to settings , bsg mod settings , saturation and change saturation of front and back cam.
Literally all the credit goes to @xdaakhil for digging this up. If you want to thank someone thank him.
Well my thanks button is down there too ?
Working on :
Honor 9 Lite
Honor 7X
Honor P Smart
Mate 10 Lite
P20 Lite
Honor 6x
keep testing
Edit: video and photos sphere works after changing the default storage to internal. Don't know why it doesn't work with the SD card?
Photo sphere is also very buggy
Photos cannot be clicked without enabling HDR+ or HDR+ enhanced.
There is a pinkish tint on highlights. This can be overcome if you guys focus on the lit(highlights) part by tapping on the viewfinder.
This port can work without root or any modifications.

? Don't know why that happened. Try downloading it again.
To those of you who who don't know why portrait only work on humans:
Gcam doesn't utilise the secondary camera that comes with the device as pixel phones have a single lens setup. The portrait is completely software based. You can check this, cover the secondary lens and click a portrait pic, it'll work!
This is also very useful as we will get good quality blur and edge detection like flagships in our budget phones as the software processing is the same in both apps.
So the camera cannot detect Dept between the subject and background as it only uses one lens.
Hello,
please, tell me, did you find optimal settings of gcam for our phone? Saturation and HDR+? I am testing it but I am not finding the perfect combination yet.

Well im also a bit confused about the perfect match.
But this is what I use:
Pixel 3 as the input method in both front and rear cams(for the super res zoom to work)
Saturation, rear cam highlights 2.7 shadow 2.9
Front cam highlights 2.2 shadow 2.6
Tweak around yourself but I couldn't get the cam to take a picture like it is shown in the viewfinder and the skin tones are better in the viewfinder than the final photo ( the details are far better though)
Thank you Fredin. I will test it.
Been lurking for a while, just registered to say thanks, works nicely the difference is pretty big! Panoramic mode is slow and buggy for me but photosphere does the same thing anyway and works well, lastly, is the RAW picture supposed to look really low resolution like it does for me?
It's working on P Smart as well, will be testing more tomorrow.

Yeah the raw shots do look like it's of low quality(don't know why). But since this build wasn't built for us this is really good.
Only if someone ports the camera for Kirin devices.

I'm not sure as slow motion recording requires hardware support which our phones dosent have.
Normally phones (including ours) records in 30 or 60 fps which is good for taking normal videos but not for slow-mo recording. All the apps you see in playstore just slows down the fps and processes them to slow the video down, but this causes quality loss and an artificial feel to it.
So I don't think we will be about to get slow motion working.

Thanks for the link.
We are gratefull to the developers.
Just I tried it with video on rear camera.
I am not happy with it.
- The image stabilization doesn't working on it.
- There are issues barrel at super wide lens, the default xiaomi camera has a better algorithm (probably) that corrects the barel issue that normally have these lenses.

There is an upload video on youtube about this .apk on Mi 11 Lite.
The version is 8.1.101.345618084 the same like us.
The compared photos seems the good work of GCam.
If you see at the end (07:55) the video image stabilization of GCam is wrong.
I have tried the following, but I have some crashed all the time:
GCam_7.3.018_Urnyx05-v2.5.apk

Think you should be able to load this into the app. I got it from the BSG gcam telegram. If you dont like 16:9 you can just change it from the dropdown settings menu quickly.
Thanks a lot for the config.xml.
Actually I'm not able to load it inside the app. I made a folder GCam/Configs8 and put the xml inside - however when I double tap near the cam shutter button, the import dialog doesn't show?
Maybe it's the Gcam version, I downloaded the one from the first post here.

Use THIS link to download the newest version. Download any of the 3 first apk. If it helps I usually use ENG apk but snap also works fine. It should have an option to add custom xml files in the settings. Just point it to the folder where its located (can be anywhere on the phone).
Great, that was the solution.
I'm very happy to have a fully functional Gcam on my phone now.

Does it make the camera better?
yes, really better. With the HDR+ Auto (non advanced), shots are also more quick than stock (that is really slow to be honest). The overall quality is very better, and night mode, potrait mode, astrography etc etc are a considerable plus. This are two shots made during this reply. IMG file is the Gcam, DCIM is Sony (1x cam, no adjustment, all auto).

thanks!
Yes, you can shot in raw+jpeg
I upload the last config file:
-the video stab. Is disabled because video capture with aux freeze the app.
-every gcam 7 feature is working well
-colors are quite different switching cameras, I suppose there's a little settings to do well. But this difference is already present in the stock camera app.

You are right, it just saves the RAW files in a different folder (Picture\RAW), that's why I wasn't able to see them!
Do you know if it's possible to save them in the same folder of the JPGs?
No I don't know, I just haven't this kind of need yet.
A little bit offtopic because I did not try GCam yet, but my 10iii arrived yesterday and the pictures (same objects, auto-mode, sony app & opencamera) are im comparison to my 4 year old XZ1c smaller in resolution and size (1,4mb vs 5,8mb) and quality almost as bad as the xz1c. Highest resolution I can set is 12MP in the settings. Are there any settings I have overseen? Or do I have to send it back and buy the Zenfone 8 although I loved Xperia phones since years?

A little bit offtopic because I did not try GCam yet, but my 10iii arrived yesterday and the pictures (same objects, auto-mode, sony app & opencamera) are im comparison to my 4 year old XZ1c smaller in resolution and size (1,4mb vs 5,8mb) and quality almost as bad as the xz1c. Highest resolution I can set is 12MP in the settings. Are there any settings I have overseen? Or do I have to send it back and buy the Zenfone 8 although I loved Xperia phones since years?

I bought this phone at launch. And I will never change with a zenphone 8. I'm very happy with this phone and every update Sony made has solved a problem. I love it. So to come back on topic try the gcam in this post with the last setting.

Thanks, I just tried your GCam with the latest xml. Might be the best app for 10iii, shutter is quicker than stock, white balance and colors as well, but still the results are awful for a phone from 2021 if you compare it to the xz1c-pictures attached. I don't get it why Sony builts really good cameras (I'm on Canon, but anyway..) and the ones in their phones are bad. After 11 years Xperia-phones I'll go for the Zenfone now

I upload the last config file:
-the video stab. Is disabled because video capture with aux freeze the app.
-every gcam 7 feature is working well
-colors are quite different switching cameras, I suppose there's a little settings to do well. But this difference is already present in the stock camera app.

Thanks a bunch for the all done config, but it was not obvious how to import it.
See https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/settings09/ and follow instructions for GCam 7.x
HI! can I post here the pictures I made with the factory camera, is that all right?

Question Which Gcam mod?

Hi
who has got a staple mod for this phone?
All cameras should work.
Flash is important.
I find bsg v8.7.250 quite reliable but quality is unstable.
Maybe a well written config file can help?
If any one here has a hint on how to get the best out of this phones camera, please let me know
OG honor camera on v6.0.0.180 sucks In pro mode, blurry and noisy. No matter the setting or camera used.
Big kaka works great, and working on all lenses too, change interface to pixel 3 XL, and increase the exposure by 2.5 stops so picture is not dark.

How increase the exposure by 2.5? I mean where is this option?
This gcam works well also on Magic5 Pro? We need to load a config file?

I use LMC R16 https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-hasli/f/dl12/ on my Magic5 Pro. Works decently for the most part but unfortunately for some reason, the optical stabilization doesn't work on the telephoto.

not sure if it's better, I'm just more used to LMC as I've used it on my other phones.
It should work after installing, but if you want to use the Telephoto and Ultra-wide then you can import the config I attached to this post.
Put it in internal storage/LMC8.4 folder.

Do you know if optical stabilization is working on telephoto with kaka? I don't know how to check if yes or not. Thanks

OIS (on telephoto) doesn't work in any GCam port on this phone. Honor must have blocked it from being used in third party camera apps.

The GoogleCameraEng one. With this phone the package doesn't matter apparently, because the ultra wide and telephoto are detected. It's just that the OIS doesn't work on tele, no matter what.
Ois seems to be working on lmc, with this xlm.
Try this xlm
In addition camera settings change the tele cam from 3 to 4, in list id
If it's dark adjust exposure to +2
All cameras are working
Ois is 100% working on tele, I can tell the difference between the tele and and normal 1x which does not have ois
In LMC tweaks make sure ois is checked
Wide, ultra wide and tele
