Question Samsung a52s uhd video stabilization - Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G

Wow samsung remove video stabilization in uhd. Unbelievable

It wasn't from start, with Oneui 4.1 is back. What do u expect from 300e Phone?

Lol not sure if you had a52s, lol. The phone had that feature enabled by default back in oneui3.1. samsung just removed it after oneui 4.0.. Of course im expecting it because it is a feature available in the beginning.

Anyway, in One Ui 4.1 the electronic stabilization option for 4K videos has reapperared, I'm eally satisfied with this improvement!

Is there any solutions to this? I lost the electronic stabilization after upgrading to One Ui 4.0, I feel that I have a cell phone of $ 50 of the year 2015 and what I have read has passed to several, what solution is there?

Worth to buy an S9 to use LOS?

Hi all! It's time to change my old Nexus 5 and I'm looking to buy an OP6 or a S9 due to its smaller dimensions.
Thing is I don't like Samsung's personalizations as I heard it slows down very quickly.
Here in Italy I could get an used S9 for 400€. Is it worth to get it with the specific intent of using it only with LineageOS? How does it perform and what am I going to miss from stock android?
Thank you!

Performance wise, S9 performs really well upto this point. I got it since launch and there were only minor drawbacks in the launcher, which were easily removed by installing pixel launcher, and now everything feels smooth. I dont think there is a need for using LOS rom just for speed because you'll lose the great features of samsung.

The features from your camera, I dont think gcam camera is any better than samsung stock. You would also lose any Knox related apps such as secure folder, samsung pass, etc. For me, I dont think there is a need to root now, atleast when it is still receiving software updates .

No you don't. Samsung's proprietary image libraries and enhancements are better than any gcam port will achieve.
Not saying gcam is bad but stock is quite a bit better on Samsung Experience compared to gcam.
also to OP: Note you probably won't be able to use the variable apeture OR the iris scanner to unlock your phone. Also as much of a meme as it is VoLTE also isn't supported on LOS.

Yeah, pretty much. Even inside the GCam thread for the s9 there are plenty of people saying it's not as good as stock. It's one of the reasons why I haven't jumped ship from Samsung Experience yet.
Also, more vibrant color != better photos. They might LOOK better but what I look for in a smartphone camera is color accuracy. If you like saturated hdr+ overblown shots so be it, to each their own.
When i bought the S8, I was hoping that the dev comunity could after some month port an AOSP rom on it but nothing stable really happend. It's a shame because I always prefered stock roms. Then the s9 came with de Treble project and this was for me the best feature that could ever been done.
You have everything that you could wish :
- Sweet design of the galaxy serie with the infinit display and for me the most beautifull overall body design (without the f*****g notch)
- Very great battery life (it easily last the day without have to charge during the day)
- The best performances, smoothness.
- No bugs at all
I always said that the galaxy series had the most complete phones in the market. But TouchWizz was the point where i always been frustrated about. With LOS, i'm ready to say that the S9 is probably the best phone you can get on the market.
Btw, don't worry about the camera's quality. It's still good even whitout samsung's camera framework.
Peace !

The GCam Im talking about is the one from gapps, not the gcam ported from pixel 2 which has HDR+ capability. I agree GCam with hdr+ is superior when it comes to contrast and details, but you dont get it when you are in LOS. That's what Im referring to.

Android 10 update

Any ideas if Samsung finally will update Android on their phones including the new Note 10/10+ fast this year? P30 Pro will have acces to Android Q Beta this September...any news for the Note?
Was a reason i moved away from Samsung phones, i really like the Note 10 + and i really want to purchase it but, can't stand waiting month for the new Android version...
So what you think?
Just get a device you REALLY like, do not waste time thinking about the OS that is the newest

If timely OS updates is high on your priority list, you bought the wrong phone.
I have owned the Note5, Note7, Note8, and Note9. I recall the Note 8 update to Oreo occurred the April after it was released, and the Note9 Pie update occurred in February after it was released (carrier versions, anyway). So you're looking at Q1 2020 for the update.
However, half the time the Android updates contain things that Samsung has already had in their software for a year or two, so... it's not that big a deal. That said, I still am always super excited when it happens (so I get it).
I don't see Samsung getting the Android Q update anytime soon. Huawei is lucky in that sense as they will be releasing the Mate 30 Pro with Android Q running out of box. So it is imminent the P30 Pro will follow.

You are missing Android 10
really if you care about the android updates as soon as possible just go to a Pixel device. on the other hand just buy a phone you like and get the updates when they come, an android update doesn't really change a lot, a lot of what is added to the base android are features that are common among third parties, so for a device from a manufacturer like Samsung all the android update means is you get a bigger number and some of the phones features move from the Samsung UI to base Android.

Not really. We already have dark mode, swipe navigation.
Nothing really excited about Android 10
What I missed the most is the call recorder ability which they removed since android 9. I don't see it coming back in Android 10.

Software is important for EVERYBODY, what I tried to tell you is this: if you like/want a note10 device, it works fine as it is, it will update in due course, if the updates are your most uttmost concern, then a pixel would be the perfect choice for you, it is well known that samsung is never the first to issue updates, knowing this, better get something else
After seeing the YouTube video of One UI 2.0 over Android 10, I can't see anything that exciting. Android 9 (RIP desserts) runs great, and 10 looked like a very incremental update.
Just enjoy your phone you just got it . Q will come orob will get 10 and 11 . Let's get 9 working good before we think of getting 10

I had the Pixel 2 XL and when the update came through my battery life improved which was already good but improvement in any department is good.
Why should you come to this forum and complain about Samsung update when you know how they work?
We all know the update will take some time to be available since the moment we buy it. We like this phone not because of the google update that we eventually will get, but because of the features that not available even with latest google update.
You should buy pixel and iphone then. Or huawei.
Exactly
I've only had one recent "need" for an android upgrade(Wireless android auto), just to find out that after we got it that google had restricted the feature to google devices. After 6 months of google claiming it was the Samsung's issue, even though no other brands worked either, they came out with a "beta" that enabled Wireless AA on other devices, no patches from samsung required.
There are so few important updates in Android these days, it's the least of my concerns.

It's official: The 9750 is the last 4G SD Note 10+ without Android 10

Same story every year for the Hong Kong variant! The same thing happened to my SM-G9650 with Android Pie.
Patience young one, it will come and you'll probably get a better initial experience than everyone else.
I'm not too bummed yet because I hear Good Lock hasn't been updated for 10 which would stop me from updating anyway. But once that happens...
I just ordered a N9750 coming from the Oneplus 7 pro which runs 10, not happy

number one for sure would be the gesture navigation - it is absolutely the best, the samsung one is just rubbish. ALso music controller and scribbling through the playing audio directly from the notification shade although im not sure if thats a oneplus feature or android 10. Im sure there will be a lot of other things il miss that i dont know yet!
First versions in major updates always come out with some bugs, For me, It is better to update when all wrinkles have been ironed out

I'm not dying too get it, but I am looking forward to the faster sharing menu, native dark mode and the potential for a Samsung Pay issue I'm having to get resolved. That, and I'm hoping the camera's aggressive noise reduction is itself reduced, lol.

I'd say the average Note10+ buyer is probably fairly interested in the version of Android it's running, yes. They are someone that is probably expecting one of the best Android experiences possible, especially when you consider the cost of the handsets.
Does anybody know if they fixed the ps4 dualshock 4 pairing with Android 10? That's 1 of the reasons of the update I want and gestures.

Are you a Samsung UI launcher person? If so, you're in luck as that's the only launcher the new gestures support.
Yes all I have to do is apply the update. I use this phone mostly for gaming and a few months ago someone posted that the dualshock 4 pairing would be fixed with Android 10 I just want a conformation on that b4 I start downloading. I'm still on release firmware in hopes for root but if I can use my ps4 controller I would gladly update
Is it maybe possible to flash other snapdragon rom on this n9750 version?

Can the Note 10+ Hong Kong get flashed with stock Android 10 ROM from another region and get it done that way? And what about root? Can it be rooted afterwards again under Android 10 or not?
The truth of the matter is I see zero benefits on an upgrade. Android 9 works flawlessly on my rooted 10 Plus and there isn't anything on Android 10 that I already can't do with my Android 9 firmware. I never quite understand this "upgrade" rush everyone seems to have..
Heck.. I'm still on Android 8 on my Note 8 and everything works flawlessly with all my apps and setting such as on my newer Note 10+. THE ONLY thing about my Note 8 that needs an "upgrade" is the p...e-of-s..t AMOLED display that is burnt in everywhere.. and no firmware will fix that.
Gosh I miss LCDs.. Samsung AMOLED panels ALL last less than a couple months before they start burning in.. all of them.

One UI 2.0 Camera Pro Mode features

Hello. I noticed that after the new Android 10 update the galaxy S10 series all got the long exposure camera update in Pro mode and are now capable of shooting up to 3200 ISO and 30 second shutter speed. Sadly the S9 series didn't get so lucky and stayed at the previous limit of 800 ISO and 10 second shutter speed. I don't think that there's a huge hardware difference between both model's primary 12MP cameras so I was quite disappointed that we got left behind. Also I don't think there will be any huge software updates for the S9 series since it's already a 2 year phone, so I was wondering if there could potentially come out a custom camera app that would unlock the current limitations of the camera?
Without full Camera2Api, I don't think it's easy to make a custom camera app which can take 10 second exposure shot, let alone 30 seconds.
But it IS FULL Camera2API. I downloaded the app and it has "FULL" checked and "LEVEL_3" , "LIMITED" and "LEGACY" are all crossed out.
That's weird, for me it's limited. I don't know.
Haven't checked in Android 10 though, might as well do it.
Yeah, the latest One UI 2 with Android 10 shows with Camera2api FULL Hardware Support Level. That's why I'm so confused...

Can someone port One ui 3.0 for Samsung S7 (Exynos)?

Hey, I am waiting for one ui 3.0 for so long. Is there anyone who can port it for S7.
Your work would be appreciated and I will promote the Rom too on my YouTube channel.
Short answer, no.
Long answer, absolutely not.
The best option for you is to wait for someone to create a one ui 3 rom. Impatient? Do It Yourself.
Unless you get a newer device that supports one ui 3.

S7 needs stable ROM with every feature working, who cares if a OneUI 99 port exist, if it crashes, and/or is missing features ?
To this day, I'm still using ALEXNDR (port of the official ROM on OneUI 1.0/Android 8.0) because it's the only bug-free and feature-complete ROM, every other ROMs have issues and is missing features.

It is known that Android OS is based on a modified version of the Linux Kernel to support mobile phones and tablets and other Android-capable devices, and it is also well-known that when OEMs release a new device, they begin their first state of dropping software support for their previous device.
Custom ROMs are Android ROMs made be either a solo developer, or core developers (and maybe even by you) out of passion, and thus completely free, they can extend it with as many features as the device can handle, in addition to the latest OS and security patches.
Sometimes, a developer might face a hard time trying to fix a bug, it might take months to fix, he might even decide to live with it, why? because he's doing this out of passion! Here on XDA, ROMs are posted along with it's sources, if you think the developer is a low-level programmer, you're free to show us your abilities.
Custom ROMs were not meant to be ultra-stable out-of-the-box, they were meant to witness it's own development.
