galaxy A50 full backup - Samsung Galaxy A50 Questions & Answers

I need help. USB port in my phone got wet I've connected to charging and in the middle of night phone started to vibrate while showing overheating error.
I've replaced usb board and now I can turn device on but it still does not charge.
I think it is IC on motherboard.
Problem is that I need application data from that phone. I still have about 50% of battery left.
I am willing to buy same phone again and restore it.
how to do this? is odin enough? or should I use TWRM?

Phone syas its charging when not plugged in

Phone recently keeps saying it's charging even though it's not plugged into anything. When the phone enters the charging state the LCD turns on.
This intermittent problem, when bad can keep the LCD screen on for hours.
Anyone else experiencing this?

I tried doing a factory reset, I'm running stock ROM and haven't even unlocked the boot loader.
Sounds like maybe it's a hardware problem. To make sure, flash a stock rom using the GNex Toolkit and see if it improves. If not, re-lock the bootloader and send it in for warrantee.
Any other ideas?
i had this happen to a focus s. no matter what i did, i couldn't get rid of it. i think it's a short in the usb slot on the device. i had to rma my focus s and replace it.
Sounds like a damaged or dirty USB connector. Had this happen on a couple of phones. Clean the phone's USB input connector with either compressed air and or a soft tooth brush dabbed (not soaked) with some electrical contact cleaner or 99% alcohol and let it dry. Power off and remove the battery before trying either method. Is the phone water damaged or has it been in subjected to a damp area (sweaty pocket) for any length of time?
Hopefully it's just dirty and not damaged.
My phone has started doing this recently too. I haven't tried electrical cleaner, but I have attempted to blow it out with compressed air and clean it out with a pin. I can't seem to fix the issue, but I have found a good workaround...
After charging the phone (or having a USB cable attached for syncing) and removing the cable, if the the phone still thinks that it's charging, I simply power it off and remove the battery for a second. Re-insert the battery and power the phone back on... that's it... my phone will no longer be stuck in charging mode. Simply power cycling the phone doesn't work, I have to physically remove the battery for a second.
I had this issue with mine too, also when plugged in it would show charging, buy battery starts said "not charging." Sent it to Samsung for warranty repair, they claimed it was overheating and had to replace a part. Free repair though!

Completely Dead n7100

So my wife dropped her stock gt-n7100 on the floor last night. The screen stopped working, but she didn't say anything to me about it.
Today it won't power on, connecting it to the charger does nothing, when I connect it via USB it is not detected by my computer.
I don't care about the phone, but I would really like the photos off of the phone (yes I am kicking myself now for not backing them up). What could I try? I have tried charging it, switching on without the battery in it, I have reseated the usb connector on the main board. Nothing is happening.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do? Has anyone paid to have a device in such a state revived?
Thanks

A5 2017 don't charge!!

Hi.
This error shown when charger connected :
moisture being detected on the charging port
And phone don't charge.
I have tested this methods :
1:USB port dried by Hairdryer
2:charger and USB cable changed with new one
3:USB settings app that shown the error cleared data.
Also phone booted on safe mode and didn't charge
Phone can't be charge in power off mode too.
Phone Haven't any hardware problem. My friend have this problem on s7 too.
This problem occurred 2 days ago and still now phone can't charge . I'm sure phone isn't wet.
Any idea you have ? Help please
maybe clean your usb port with water and let the phone to dry off . or ask samsung
Tnx for help
I have tested with 2 USB cables and both are clean and dry.
Samsung support fixed that once with reset factory and delete all data.
But again I have this problem. It's not good to reset factory your phone when you want charge that
I had it happen, too. I cleared the USB cache nd rebooted and it's been fine ever since. This was also 2 days ago.
I'm having the same issue with the moisture notification, however, after rebooting the phone and plugging the cable in before the notification would appear, I can charge the phone without any problems. In my case, either corrosion or the moisture sensor's fault is the problem. Should I send it in for a repair? Is this covered by the warranty?

Need help from experts in main board issues - can't charge my tablet SM-T325

Hi,
I have strange problem and I think it's from the main board..but I just need experts opinion first, so may I could solve my problem without changing the full motherboard and save some money
my tablet working fine but I can't charge the battery, when I connect the USB cable it shows me the battery status 100% !, and the device instantly powered off if I pulled the USB cable from it.
when I noticed that I did a simple trick, I completely removed the battery and connected the tabled directly to the charger, and it shows me the exact same status, I could even power on the device and use it with out battery inside, just counting on the charger, and the device still show me the 100% battery statues
At the beginning I thought the problem is from the battery it self, so I decided to buy new one, but the same problem still exist. so....I think my main board is working fine but with a simple issue...it can't detect the battery.
so my question is...do I really have to change the main board completely, or I can just fix it by replacing a small part...like the battery port or something like that??
Same problem
My husband has the same problem, his tablet only works if the charger is plugged in. As soon as you pull out the charging cord it shuts down, but when you plug it back in it reboots and works. Tablets are mobile device yet he cant move away from a plug
Everything else about our 8.4 Pro is wonderful, even at 3 years old so we'd like to find a fix. Any solutions?
what recovery says ????

need help with charging problem

Hi,
Even after I fell into some water with my phone in my pocket (dumb, I know), after a day of drying out, the phone came back to life and seems to work fine - except.... it won't charge when the phone is turned on. If I leave the phone off, it charges. Turn it on (recovery mode or regular mode), and it won't charge. Anyone have any ideas if this is fixable? Should I replace the small PC board with the USB port on it? Or replace the phone?
Thanks!
I think the phone will not be replaced as it is water damaged
