Question Virtual a/b device? - Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G

Does anybody know if this device has implemented virtual a/b or if it's just normal a/b?
I need to know this to finish building my device tree.

As far as i can tell it has neither one. The treble info app says our device doesn't support seamless updates witch indicates A-only.
After some searching it seems like Samsung doesn't implement (virtual) A/B to any of it's devices (yet?).

It does have A/B, but I'm not sure about virtual a/b

Don't use treble check, it is inaccurate
Phh recommends treble info

Treble info says A/B, but no idea about virtual

Does the treble info app say your A52S supports seamles updates??

Ah my bad
Your screenshot does indicate that the phone is A/B
Also not having seamless updates doesn't necessarily mean the device isn't virtual A/B

The screenshot indicates we should use an A/B system, this doesn't necessarily mean we have an A/B partition.
Every device with an android 9 or higher vendor has to use an A/B system even the A-only ones.
If we have (virtual)A/B it would be very strange seamless updates aren't supported...

Well I can confirm that the device uses A/B partitions due to the development tree template generation.
I'm more concerned about virtual.

Unofficial Treble Questions

I see a few ROMS have popped up with Treble support. So how does this work? I assume the devices haven't been repartitioned. And I see the /cust partition is being used as the vendor partition. Does this mean we can flash any generic Treble ROM? Or do they have to be modified to mount /cust as /vendor? Does anything change for the device or do certain ROMS just have a different partition layout that matches Treble?
Thanks.

You flash the newest official TWRP and one of the Treble enabled ROMs from this forum. Then you can flash any GSI you want. I tried it and it works excellent. The TWRP tells the GSIs that /cust is /vendor.

Emui 9.0 GSI

Emui 9.0 appear in firmware finder
is possible create GSI Emui 9.0 for install ??
Probably. But there is a big chance that the GSI will be unbearably buggy (RIL and lots of things broken etc.) or simply will not boot on non-Kirin devices. For Kirin devices it may be better.

i have Huawei mate9 ...but no have gsi in world kkk
Why would you want an EMUI GSI anyway, EMUI is rubbish as it is, no one would want to install it over HavokOS or lineageOS.
First thing I did when I got my honour 9 was unlock bootloader and install custom ROM, to get rid of the awfulness that is EMUI

Exactly! TWRP is just necessary to make full system backups (and yeah sometimes flash .zip's). With "just" root you can still do pretty much everything else.

Personal choice depends on what you want to do. Some are attempting to do the same as a user on the A51, create a super.img with phh GSI inserted to flash in odin. The guy got it working on the A51 but too much ****ery to try myself.

It seems like since the BL is unlockable/the phone can be rooted, we'll probably get ROMs at least for the Exynos eventually, no? Just ordered an S20+ Exynos and I look forward to root, but it'd be cool to see some aftermarket ROMs.

Yes, Magisk works fine on A13.
Just make sure you boot the patched boot.img file and direct install. To avoid possible issues
@Rifle003 Welcome to XDA! You can also click the yellow How To Guide quick filter located at the top of the list of threads in this section, and you'll find several helpful threads about rooting this phone - at least some of which include information about rooting Android 13 - which that itself is no different than rooting Android 12.

That actually increases your chance of issues. If it successfully boots the "fastboot boot"'d one, but messes up the "direct installed" one, then you've incremented the antirollback counter, but now will fail to boot, which could lead to a brick if you messed something up like forgot to install the bootloader to the second slot.
The best way to install is to "select and patch a file" from magisk, then "fastboot flash" it to both slots. Of course also make sure that you "fastboot flash" the bootloader to both slots as well (prior to installing A13).
