Sometimes I get a text message on the phone I'm using. And sometimes to another phone where the internet is connected but the number I'm writing from is not identical. It's on another phone. Wherever 1 sim is supported. Maybe I've somewhere put my number on my phone where it supports two sim one, sim cards. Use a chat feature on samsunf messages send over wifi or mobile nwtwork withour texting sms messaging. I get a sms reply on the other phone where wifi is connected. Or I don't get one, neither to the phone I sent from nor to the one where wifi is connected. For example, I have been chatting via sms messaging , I have not received any reply since 17 h although it shows that I have sent a message from the tel where one sim is supported. When I sent the card to another phone where two sim cards are supported I received the messages I should have received yesterday on the phone where I wrote, when I sent the card to the phone where the messaging app is supported, the samsung chat function sends messages using wifi or mobile data. When I went to the settings for messaging, chat functions - this function was switched off. (Because it says to send sms using internet or wifi connection. When I installed the card, it immediately switched to 4g even though it was connected to wifi yesterday, but no messages came to the phone where wifi was connected. And to the one from which I'm dialling. And the time shows today the dates when received : 17 and 17:45 although yesterday at that time I was using 1 phone where only 1sim is supported. But I have not received any reply. I only received it today when I put the card in my phone. Why do I get it on the other phone where wifi is connected or when I insert the card and connect 4g to the phone where two sims are supported? The app is here ( Messages. not GOOGLE MESSAGES). It is switched off but I get a sms reply either to the one from which I sent the sms or to another phone where wifi is connected.

I have a problem - sometimes i receive text messages and sometimes i don't. It could be due to not having network coverage but, when i do get coverage, i still don't receive the messages. I get other messages later on saying things like 'did you get my message'. I don't know if the problem is with my 4 year old sim card, the phone, or the network. I am in the UK using Talkmobile. P.S my calls still work and I can send text messages.

Try removing your sim, & insert a newer one to confirm, if it is a problem with phone or sim card.

But the problem is intermittent - random. I cant test to see if it works or not (I dont think). Thanks for your reply
Hello guys, I updated a week ago to ICS, everything was working perfectly untill today, when I tried sending SMS, it keeps failing to send. I double checked the APN, SMS messaging center number. Only time I can send SMS its after I reboot the phone or if I toggle Airplane mode on and off, but cant never send more then three message before its start failing again.
Any tip?
Check to see if your him card is ok. I had that issue and a new sim fixed the issue.

Get a new sim card. That can solve many phone call and sms issues.
I activated my ZF2 with cricket this past weekend (5 days by now) on the $40 plan and the service and call quality have been great. However I am still receiving messages on my old iPhone 4 and sometimes i can only read replies on it and they don't show on the ZF2. Has anyone else experienced this problem and how long should I expect this issue. The website states this should only occur for up to 8 hours.

Sounds strange. I just switched from Cricket, put my sim in my phone and everything switched over almost instantly. Old phone stopped working almost immediately after I did the activation and after a few hours things were good.
I plan on switching to Cricket from MetroPCs when I get mine in today. Glad to hear that it will work with this phone.
Are you sure you are not getting iMessages instead of SMS? Those will never switch...
I had this issue a while back when Cricket was Aio, one of our phones wouldn't get SMS messages... Had to call customer support and have them resend the port request (or re-broadcast something, I don't remember exactly), within a 30 minutes or so it was working.
Part of the porting process requires you to have your old phone OFF when the port happens, it should not be attached to the mobile network when the port occurs or errors can occur... That is why the instructions for activation specifically state your old phone must be off when activate the new SIM.
No delay with Cricket for me.
It sounds like the OP is receiving imessages. The iphone without a sim card should receive sms.

I think you mean an iPhone without a SIM CANNOT receive sms messages.
I have the same thought, that the messages are from iMessage and not SMS. I use Cricket and have no delays unless I am in an area with little or no reception (I travel a lot for my job so it happens from time to time). Back in the bad old days of Verizon I would sometimes not get texts until days later... ugh.
So i live in a very weak signal area and as such love the ability to use wifi calling ( i couldn't talk on my phone at home most days before) but one thing that still bugs me is sms and mms. i have tried several apps to send text with mobile data off ( but wifi calling on) and connected to wifi to send but they all fail. even the Verizon message + app fails to send . Is there a texting app that will send and receive Verizon sms and mms over wifi? i have tried message+, Samsung stock app , textra , google messages and hangouts .. all fail. if i turn on mobile and am in a good signal area , they all work fine. i just need a solution so i can text from home with mobile data off ( essential off anyway due to aforementioned signal issue..

If you change the build.prop id to another device (like a samsung tablet) then Verizon Mesaging + will let you send text over wifi.
I did it about a year back and it worked great. The deatails are buried in the note ii forum.
I have Lineage version 18.1-20211030-NIGHTLY-cheryl installed on my Razer Phone.
I'm unable to send any text messages to single contacts, but I can send text messages to multiple contacts without any problems. I can also use data and make calls normally. The texting problem is not due to reception; I've tried many locations miles apart and couldn't send texts from any of them. Calling, however worked well at all of the locations.
A different Razer Phone running on stock rom is able to send text messages using my SIM card, but my phone is not able to send texts with the same SIM card. However, because my SIM card is able to send text messages when placed inside the stock Razer, neither my SIM card nor the phone company's network is likely to be the problem.
I've ruled out Wi-Fi calling as the problem. On stock Razer, Wi-Fi calling has, in the past, interfered with my text messages. However, I have Wi-Fi calling disabled on my Lineage Razer and I still can't send any texts.
Has anyone had problems with texting on their Lineage Razer Phone? I've already spent days researching this problem and failed to find anything that works. As much as I love having an updated phone, not being able to text is a serious problem. Does anyone have any ideas that could spare me from having to return to stock?
